Along the way, he could always hear people discussing what happened last night until he walked into the auditorium.
"Did you hear? The Death Eaters are back again last night," a senior student said mysteriously.
"Really? How is that possible?" The witch across from him looked skeptical, "Headmaster Dumbledore and Aurors from the Ministry of Magic were here last night. How dare the Death Eaters come back?"
"What I'm saying is true," the person said, "The Death Eaters came in the early hours, and the headmaster was definitely already asleep then, so he didn't know."
"Still not right." The witch shook her head and said, "I heard the professors were patrolling the castle last night, it can't be that no one noticed anything."
"Who told you the Death Eaters came to the castle? They went to the hospital wing."
"The hospital wing?"
"That's right," the person said, "I just came back from there, even the headmaster went, how can it be fake?"
"Headmaster Dumbledore?"
"Who else? Is there a second headmaster at the school?"
"But..."
"No buts, if you still don't believe it. You can check during class to see Professor Snape, he was injured by the Death Eaters."
Soon, the two walked away, but their conversation caught Kael's attention.
The Death Eaters returned?
To be honest, Kael didn't believe it.
There were only two Death Eaters who escaped yesterday. Kael couldn't say for Oren, but Antonin Dolohov definitely wouldn't dare to come back.
He was missing a leg, returning would be no different from walking to his death.
Moreover, he didn't seem to be the type to sacrifice himself for his companions. If he was, he wouldn't have used Alecto as a shield against the Fiendfyre Curse last night.
So after breakfast, Kael didn't rush to class but instead took a detour to the hospital wing to find out what was happening.
Many had the same idea, and the road to the hospital wing was crowded with people, but no one had managed to see what was happening.
However, Kael didn't see Dumbledore here, maybe he had just left, or perhaps the person was mistaken, and he hadn't come at all.
In one corner of the hospital wing, there were two beds covered with thick curtains, nothing could be seen from the outside...
Hmm, two beds?
Using the excuse of fetching a stimulant, Kael suddenly stopped in his tracks.
If inside the curtains are Alecto and Malfoy, then where is Snape? Is Snape also inside?
Alecto is a Death Eater and violent by nature. Even if she were injured, Dumbledore would never let her be alone in the hospital wing.
But what about Snape...
Kael instinctively glanced again in the direction of the curtains.
Although the curtains were thick, the gap at the bottom revealed enough to tell there was no one standing inside.
This is quite interesting, the curtains only covered two beds, presumably Alecto and Malfoy, so where was Snape, who was in charge of guarding them? Surely he wasn't lying with Alecto...
Hmm? Actually... it's not impossible.
"Stop looking around!"
Just as he was pondering, Madam Pomfrey interrupted Kael, impatiently thrusting a bottle of stimulant into his hand.
"Everyone wants stimulants today..." she muttered looking at the line behind him, "Don't think I don't know what you're up to, but I must remind you, curb your curiosity, don't pry into everything."
However, it was clear that few people listened to her, the line remained long.
Left with no choice, Madam Pomfrey quite simply drove everyone out and then moved a desk outside the hospital wing, allowing no one inside anymore.
Meanwhile, Kael, having received his stimulant, had already returned to the castle.
From the information available, it wasn't hard to deduce that something happened in the hospital wing last night, but the specifics were unclear to him.
"Kael..."
A voice interrupted Kael's contemplation, and he looked up to find Lupin and Tonks.
Lupin had a bandage on his arm, presumably injured last night, Tonks was supporting him, making Lupin look quite uncomfortable.
"There's no need, Tonks, I just hit my arm, my leg is fine," he said.
But Tonks remained oblivious and didn't care about Kael's gaze at all.
"Where are you headed?" Kael feigned ignorance, pretending not to notice Lupin's evasive eyes, and asked.
"The hospital wing," Tonks said, "The Minister decided to take Alecto back to the Ministry of Magic, we're the Aurors accompanying this time, need to check her condition ahead."
"Okay, you better hurry then, I need to get back to class." Kael said, waving a hand and walking past them.
Lupin looked after Kael with something to say but didn't utter a word.
Harry had already told Sirius about what happened on the tower last night, and Sirius had relayed it to him.
So when seeing Kael, Lupin instinctively wanted to inquire about the specifics, but when the words reached his mouth, he didn't know how to phrase it.
Fiendfyre Giant and Nundu, it was indeed a bit beyond his imagination.
"Never mind, Remus." Tonks said beside him, "Once Kael graduates, he'll definitely join the Order of the Phoenix too, you can ask then."
"You're right," Lupin nodded, and the two continued towards the hospital wing.
...
Back in the castle, Kael went to the third floor to attend his first charm class. His arrival startled everyone in the classroom.
This was the first time in two months they had seen Kael in a classroom.
