Chapter 986 - Chapter 764: 6 Consecutive Championships (Part 3)

Conna handed him a bottle of Butter Beer.

"Thanks." Kael took it and drank a sip. "They're absolutely crazy, a party lasting three hours."

"It's understandable," Conna said with a smile. "After all, Hufflepuff has never had such a moment to shine, and everyone has been quite tense lately, so having something to celebrate is great."

Kael nodded and took another sip of Butter Beer.

"What are your plans next?"

"Waiting for exams," Kael said.

"I mean, after graduation, what plans do you have for work."

"I don't know." Kael shrugged, "As of now, I'm planning to visit Diagon Alley first. Remember? Sirius once gave me a shop there; it's not good to leave it empty all the time."

"You want to run a shop?"

"Just this idea for now," Kael said. "But it's hard to say what exactly to do, given there are still Death Eaters and Voldemort out there. Whatever I do, I have to deal with that trouble first."

"So, you'll join that... Order of Phoenix, is that the name?"

Kael didn't answer immediately.

"I'm really not sure." He thought for a moment and said, "There's something I've been puzzled about. Professor Dumbledore hasn't formally invited me yet, and I don't know what he really thinks."

"But didn't you take me to their headquarters before?"

"That's different." Kael shook his head, "Fred and George told me they signed a very formal Magic Contract before graduation, which is a certificate of officially joining the Order of Phoenix.

"According to them, that contract creates a connection between them and other members, allowing them to vaguely sense each other's location. Its role should be to facilitate support."

"Is that so?" Conna asked, always thinking Kael was already a member of the Order of Phoenix.

"I'm not sure either, can't rule out it being a prank by Fred and George." Kael said, "But Professor Dumbledore indeed never mentioned it to me."

"By the way, why did you suddenly ask this?"

"Nothing, really." Conna said, "Just a bit curious, that's all."

"What about you, what are your plans after graduation?"

"Professor Snape bought a Potion Master Shop in Paris." Conna said softly, "He wants me to go there and set up the shop."

"That's great." Kael thought aloud: "Potion shops can be quite profitable, and when it comes to Paris, I know quite a few people there, so if anything comes up, we can solve it."

Kael was referring to Ms. Maxime, as the headmistress of Beauxbatons, her influence in France is significant.

If real trouble arises, turning to her would definitely work.

"Is that how you see it?" Conna asked Kael.

Kael looked into her eyes and nodded.

Regarding this matter, he and Snape rarely shared a common view.

Despite Conna's decent strength, even quite good to say the least, in the entire Hufflepuff she ranked right after Kael and Cedric, and last year's O.W.L. earned her eight certificates.

Not that she couldn't achieve more, but she took only eight subjects, and all her results were excellent.

But the enemy is, after all, Voldemort; no matter how outstanding Conna's grades are, she's only seventeen. When the final battle comes, no one knows what will happen; staying far from the battlefield is the safest.

France is a nice option; not too far nor too close, plus plenty of acquaintances, even if the Death Eater's influence reaches there someday, there won't be a lack of support.

"Alright then."

No anger, no dissatisfaction, Conna agreed.

It genuinely surprised Kael; normally, wouldn't Conna be upset for being underestimated?

Why react this way, it's way too calm, so calm it feels unusual.

"You're not... angry?" Kael asked tentatively.

"Why should I be angry?" Conna stared at him with a gentle smile, "Or do you think I should turn around and leave, or argue to stay here... If that's the case, I could actually fulfill that."

Saying that, Conna cleared her throat and raised her hand as if to slam it on the table.

"No, that's enough, really." Kael quickly stopped her.

No matter the case, Conna not being angry is quite good; if she truly got into a quarrel, it would be a troublesome matter.
