Chapter 504 - Chapter 468: Convergence

Su Ming ignored the looks from others and just quietly sat on the chair, looking out the window.

In the cosmic backdrop of pitch black, only the Earth, now turned purple, gleamed with a sinister brilliance. He had never really looked at Earth carefully from space, but now it seemed so unfamiliar.

Going into space had been the dream of countless people, and now, once an ordinary person, he could enter space relying only on himself, even facing off against gods, something he never could have imagined before.

But first, he arrived at the DC World, and then at Marvel, and the sights he saw along the way surpassed this tiny Monistic Universe a hundredfold.

As his vision broadened and his abilities enhanced, surviving for self-protection was no longer the main objective.

After confronting Manhattan, he had always had a big plan, so ambitious that if spoken aloud, others would think he was more insane than Luthor.

But that's alright, the progress over at Marvel, thanks to Conqueror Kang, greatly increased the variations of the world line, and the current situation had far exceeded the plan.

Although some minor issues need to be addressed, that Monistic Universe has essentially developed according to Su Ming's ideas.

So now he came here, originally to rest for a while and seize the right moment.

But Luthor's current action just gave him a great opportunity.

An opportunity to pick the fruit without having to face off directly against the Justice League.

The conflict between the Destruction Legion and the Justice League, the conflict between destruction and transcendence, is merely a struggle for dominance over this universe, with everyone hoping the future unfolds as they envision it.

However, to the All-Powerful Universe beyond the wall, the DC World is just a tiny point within it. With so many worlds, so many opportunities, is the conflict between destruction and transcendence real?

In Su Ming's view, destruction can be used as a means, and transcendence is just a stop on the way to the ultimate goal. As an outsider, Su Ming sees further.

He doesn't want to become a god; what he seeks is beyond that, even higher than any concept or rule...

This is an unspeakable plan, and even just thinking about it in his mind, Su Ming fears that some existence might see it, so he never mentions it to anyone.

For now, let it be as it is. His current objective is to wait for Batman to produce another thing.

When Batman talks with others, he often stresses the Totality, acting as if it's something extremely important. However, in Luthor's hands, he constantly wields the concept manifestation object of 'destruction', that Door Handle.

So here arises the question?

Where is the Door Handle of 'transcendence'?

As opposing concepts, there is no reason one side has a manifestation object while the other does not, right?

If there is a Door Handle, there must be a door, so where is this so-called 'door'?

Su Ming believes the Door Handle of transcendence is with Batman, but he deliberately hides it, never even bringing it up to make others ignore that thing.

Even though he himself was severely injured, he did not produce that item to counter Luthor.

What Batman values, Su Ming naturally also values, so regarding the Totality, which Batman touted as a pretense, Su Ming doesn't care much.

As events continue to unfold, Su Ming gradually sees through the essence of the Totality, realizing it's a 'catalyst' that has not yet hatched but is alive.

Just like the 'Divine Speed' in the Flashpoint event or the 'Infinite Universe' in the Infinite Crisis.

It will spread some information, and Barry and Ron have already had hallucinations because of it.

Perhaps at some point, it will hatch, rebooting or upgrading the world, but that does no good for Su Ming, as whoever holds this target becomes the focus of all.

In this major event, what Su Ming aims to acquire is those two Door Handles.

Not to mention the power that could severely injure Batman instantly, just thinking about what's behind them is very enticing.

He wants to see what exactly lies behind the door, something that drives a smart person like Luthor to madness, and Batman to deceive everyone.

Deathstroke saving Earth?

That's just incidental; after all, Su Ming also needs a foothold, and the places where humans are gathered is a good choice.

He doesn't like a deserted, isolated environment. Communicating with his kind is necessary, enjoying human food and various pleasures.

With the X Metal, Su Ming actually doesn't need food and water at all; the energy from the metal can keep him alive indefinitely.

But 'savoring mortal food' is the foundation of maintaining 'being human', and keeping his humanity is Su Ming's bottom line while becoming stronger.

Otherwise, even if he becomes stronger, losing his humanity would be a complete reversal of priorities.

Like the drainage plan, now Batman and Luthor only have eyes for each other, and no one notices Su Ming's plan in the heart; his grand strategy is still proceeding smoothly...

This is a very long-term strategy, no need to rush.

With this thought, Su Ming casually strokes the armrest of the chair, appearing unaffected, though the corners of his mouth slightly rise as if he thought of something pleasant.

"The spaceship has been thoroughly checked three times, ensuring nothing could possibly be a surveillance device." Steel Armor returned to report to Su Ming, and there was a strange smile on his face.

Su Ming probably guessed it too; that vague feeling of being watched had disappeared.

"Very well, now activate the spaceship, use our ship as cover, and proceed to rendezvous with Detective Gorilla." Su Ming leaned back in the chair, gripping the hilt of his Great Sword: "Once the Shadow Contract Team is also in position, I'll lay out the next tactical arrangements."

Steel Armor had no objections. Gathering their own strength now seemed like a good idea; after all, a fist is stronger when clenched.

As for using their own ship as a cover, there was no problem at all. The enemy wouldn't dare to open fire, so all they needed to do was approach low Earth orbit, deactivate the isolation nets, and let the spacecraft dock.

After Su Ming issued the orders, he didn't say much else and just waved for the others to execute the commands.

At first, Steel Armor wasn't very skilled at operating the spaceship, but soon she got the hang of it.

A few minutes later, as Su Ming had arranged, they successfully picked up the Shadow Contract Team and Harley.

Harley was the fastest; shortly after the ship docked, she was already on the bridge, completely ignoring the not-so-friendly looks from the Titans.

"You bought a new ship, oh, Deathstroke. Although it's old and shabby and smells fishy, I like it..."

"Yes, it's big enough, but that's as long as you don't run around or eat fish."

Su Ming nodded to Bo Bo, who had just entered the bridge, signaling his assistant to prepare for the meeting.

"Eat fish? What do you mean?" Harley was puzzled; she didn't see anything related to fish here.

But Su Ming didn't intend to explain; Harley didn't need to know too much. Her little head was a mess.

Her usage method was different from others.

Take Barry, for example. He needed to know the plan, including the objectives and desired outcomes, before taking action. Barry would only help Su Ming if the plan seemed reasonable.

As for Diana, she needed a clear goal and hoped for an honorable victory.

But Harley didn't need any of that.

All she needed to know was her task was against the Joker, and as for how she executed it or what she thought, Su Ming didn't interfere.

Using insanity to deal with insanity, one key point is not to limit the creative freedom of your own insane allies.

Even if these two crazies wreaked havoc and blew Gotham sky-high, Su Ming didn't care as long as he achieved his objectives.

Bo Bo was eyeing the alien's spacecraft, feeling a bit tempted to learn to drive it, but Su Ming called him for a meeting, so he went to the center of the bridge first.

He wasn't surprised at all to see Donna here.

Deathstroke must have encountered something in space that prompted him to gather everyone, and those whom he deemed necessary to unite must be individuals he believed he could control.

Bo Bo had long seen through it; Deathstroke was somewhat of a control freak who didn't like working with the Justice League because he felt he couldn't surpass Batman's control over them.

Darkness, mercenaries were just too dark.

"Alright, our next mission is to rescue Diana and Arthur."

While Detective Gorilla was lost in thought, Su Ming tapped the armrest, setting the topic.

Bo Bo: "..."

He was just thinking that Deathstroke didn't want to team up with the Justice League, so why was he actively seeking Diana?

The thought process was hard to grasp, truly perplexing.

Bo Bo took a deep breath. Oh well, it's best not to guess. Whatever Deathstroke plans to do, it's impossible for ordinary people to figure it out, let alone just a cute and harmless gorilla like himself.

Even if he figured it out, he wouldn't say it; that's the way to live long.

"But we don't know where Diana is right now."

Megan raised an objection; her attention had been entirely captured by Harley.

Harley, in her trendy sequined outfit, was chewing bubble gum and humming a tune while playing with her hair, nonchalantly sitting on a table as if she didn't care about Earth's safety.

Also, wasn't she supposed to be with the Suicide Squad? Where were the others?

"No, we know." Su Ming smiled gently, leaning back in his chair, pressing a finger to his temple. "I can find her. Actually, if Batman wants to find her, he can."

Bo Bo pulled the brim of his Detective Hat down further. Just as Deathstroke said, if Batman wants to find someone, he'll undoubtedly succeed.

Let alone someone like Diana, Bruce surely had contingency plans regarding her whereabouts.

"Agreed, but without Batman's instruments and equipment, how do we determine Diana's location?" Bo Bo immediately agreed with Deathstroke's decision and discreetly winked at Megan.

Just follow Deathstroke's plan without questioning it. Doubt never yields any results.

Whether you understand it or not, there's only one path—to listen to orders, so why resist?

Su Ming was pleased with Detective Gorilla's tactfulness and keen sense of the situation. Little Fortune Ape was indeed an excellent glue for the team.

The moment he asked the question, it directly shifted the agenda from 'Is the plan feasible?' to 'How to implement the plan.' He also expressed the Shadow Contract's stance and cautioned Megan from a third-person perspective.

No wonder he's the world's smartest gorilla. Once we deal with Luthor, Su Ming would pull some strings to introduce Bo Bo to a 'girlfriend' as a reward.
