Chapter 501 - Chapter 465: A New Xi Jing

Raven called upon the magic in her bloodline, a power almost like a curse, unbelievably dark, unbelievably cold.

In the endless dark void, that realm of nothingness and chaos, it responded to her just as it responded to her father.

Dense particles of dark magic gathered in her hands and also reflected in her eyes, which turned from bright to completely black, like lifeless gemstones.

Demons are like this.

This extradimensional energy would change her, make her cold and ruthless.

If she used less magic, she'd become more lively and cheerful, but if she used magic frequently, she'd become taciturn.

Rachel turned her gaze to Zhen Hai and unleashed her magic.

This was soul magic, invisible and colorless, impossible to see; the so-called killing with a look is like this.

Zhen Hai seemed slightly dazed, with wisps of mist emerging from his features.

In the dim starship corridor, it was like a thin mist on the night street, unclear.

The magic was ineffective.

The effect of soul magic was very disappointing, not even a warming sensation.

But the casting attracted Zhen Hai's attention, and he seemed ready to attack the Titan Squad first.

"What are you looking at? Face me!"

The weapons in Su Ming's hands crossed like scissors, slashing towards Zhen Hai's waist.

First a slash, then a thrust, followed by a chop, and then switching to another martial arts routine.

Binding closely but not overly so, Zhen Hai wanting to deal with others was just impossible.

But even with Su Ming's rapid combo, it was like always, only taking away seawater.

Nightfall and Godslayer dripped water, reflecting the wet glow.

The scales on Zhen Hai scattered like crushed melon seed shells.

Yet the alien Sea God's body remained unharmed.

Raven's spellcasting actions, Su Ming saw them clearly, even the type of magic was recognizable.

The conclusion now was that the enemy's magic resistance was unbelievably high.

Physical attacks were ineffective too.

The ability of elementalization was troublesome, more annoying than self-healing and undying abilities.

If it were the latter two, just throw the pieces to the other end of the cosmos, or find someone in Marvel to try using adamantium.

But the opponent not only mastered elementalization but was a god, with infinite strength and high resistance.

It seems a different approach is needed.

The single red eye on the mask shone brightly, but now, Su Ming's target was no longer the Sea God's body, but to wildly slash the opponent's armor.

Zhen Hai wore a set of armor like dragon scales, divided into the upper body, pants, and a cape, looking very bulky, like an oversized turtle.

But in front of Nightfall, it's just a layer of paper.

Su Ming's new plan was to strip him bare, then use taunting to anger the opponent, finally exchanging injury for injury.

During elementalization, Zhen Hai couldn't attack simultaneously, turning into liquid seemed more like his body's instinct, or some rule protecting him.

But at the same time, it was also a restriction.

Then would Zhen Hai in a complete frenzy state make this liquefaction ability ineffective? It's time to experiment.

Anyway, Su Ming decided to mock the opponent's physical shortcomings.

Like his round belly like fish poop; or his little ding-ding, smaller than a sea maggot.

Intentionally finding faults, even if there are none, one can always find some.

Any tactic can be used in battle, although it looks despicable, what's useful is good.

Moreover, Su Ming doesn't believe there's any flawless god in the universe.

Under the wild dance of the two weapons, Zhen Hai quickly became stark naked, his armor couldn't liquefy, being trimmed like mowing grass, long couldn't hold up.

But during the constant chopping, Su Ming updated his plan.

No need to ridicule the enemy's weakness.

With good vision and a quick mind, Su Ming found Zhen Hai, during being chopped, letting his armor continuously break, seeming entirely uncaring.

But as long as attacking his neck area, he'd use his weapon to block or parry and dissipate force.

At first, Su Ming thought the opponent was trying to protect his head, which is common for any creature.

But since the opponent has elementalization ability, why bother?

Su Ming's gaze fell on Zhen Hai's neck.

It was a large necklace like a shark's upper and lower jaws, with sharp fangs densely packed on it, like a calcium-based scarf.

Some mariners like to take shark teeth and hang them on their living room walls as a testament to their past.

Generally, only the captain has such qualifications.

Ordinary mariners usually hang a lifebuoy with the ship's name in the living room, or the sailfish they caught at sea.

The best prey goes to the captain, other things are shared among everyone, that's the rule of the sea.

Zhen Hai wasn't protecting his neck but protecting this set of fish teeth.

Su Ming wasn't sure what that was, maybe a magic holy artifact like Poseidon's trident or Zeus's 'Thunder'.

Maybe the alien Sea God's symbol is just such a broken set of teeth?

Of course, it could also be a commemorative item for the enemy.

But.

The enemy seems to value this item greatly, which reveals a weakness.

Deathstroke will seize every opportunity...

As his mind shifted, Strangulation immediately switched its target from the enemy's eyes to the necklace, continuously pulling the trigger, bullets aiming for the fangs.

As expected, Zhen Hai started to dodge the bullets; he was unwilling, or dared not let anything happen to this fish tooth necklace.

Su Ming saw panic in the enemy's eyes, and so he smiled.

Any creature with subjective awareness inevitably has its weaknesses. Now that you want to protect this treasure, let's see if Deathstroke agrees or not.

The opponent's actions showed a lack of confidence in the necklace's defensive capabilities, so Su Ming had no need to use the Nightfall Greatsword. Instead, he turned the Godslayer into dual blades and started hacking recklessly.

No special moves were needed; it was life for life.

No matter how Zhen Hai resisted, Su Ming aimed every attack at the necklace.

Many times, Zhen Hai's long spear was above Su Ming's head, but Su Ming had no intention of defending. "You can smash my head if you want; I just want to cut your little trinket."

Su Ming had Holy Statue Armor, with a helmet that was solid enough; not to mention the X Metal skull.

So, they'll trade blows.

You break my helmet, and I'll destroy your necklace.

But each time, Zhen Hai withdrew his weapon to block Su Ming's scimitar aimed at the accessory.

For a moment, Zhen Hai was completely at a disadvantage, with not a single chance to retaliate.

The more Su Ming fought, the better he felt, running on walls, flipping, slashing, rolling, and sweeping without any pattern, all directed at the necklace.

Zhen Hai could only keep blocking or retreating, almost forced out of the spaceship.

Finally, the white-bearded old man couldn't hold it anymore; he raised his hands and threw a massive wave of seawater, like a tidal wave crashing towards everyone.

In the entire corridor, the flood rushed like when a toilet flushes.

Strangulation held Su Ming firmly on the ground, not retreating a single step, while the others could only cling to walls or protrusions on the ceiling.

Su Ming continued to search for the enemy in the waves, but when the water dissipated, he discovered that Zhen Hai had vanished.

The white-bearded old man came and went as suddenly as Santa Claus; he ran up the 'chimney' and left.

Except, the Sea God's chimney was a vortex teleportation gate, and this version of Santa Claus was a drowned one, whose gifts Earthlings didn't appreciate.

Su Ming sheathed his blades, Strangulation retracted to his body, and the Magic Floating Cloak unfurled in the air, gently landing on his shoulders.

Looking at the seawater still flowing on the floor, with its turbid impurities and debris like sewer water, it was utterly disgusting.

Su Ming took off his helmet, lit his cigarette, and spat to the side.

"You sure ran fast."

Megan, already agape, opened her mouth even wider; listening to Deathstroke's meaning, if the Alien Sea God hadn't fled, could he really kill him?

Of course, if Su Ming could hear her thoughts, he would definitely tell her there was no chance at all.

But now, the enemy had fled, not even saying a word, which gave Su Ming the perfect opportunity to talk tough.

Seeing the Titan Squad so dispirited, it was indeed necessary to boost morale first, then combine it with his threat to slay gods, making the Titans obey his commands.

It's all part of the strategy.

Night Shadow and the others, who had been observing from behind, also came over and greeted the Titan Squad.

The Shadow Contract Team, although mostly mixing in the Magic Realm, had members around the same age as those in the Titan Squad, so many were familiar with each other.

Except for the Blue Demon, who was too old, only considered a nanny.

Su Ming then had time to take a closer look at the interior structure of the warship.

Not exactly broken-down, but very old, with a 'second-hand sci-fi' feel like in Star Wars, though this ship, whether in shape or internal structure, was full of oceanic planetary features.

The starship even had humidifiers, and water pipes and valves were visible everywhere.

Judging from this, the survival conditions alien needed were similar to Earth's, with food, oxygen, and water, was the alien aiming to occupy Earth?

But how would Luthor and they divide it up?

Based on Su Ming's understanding of the bald man, he was a human supremacist. Aliens living on Earth felt to him like they were eating his rice, causing him deep pain.

It's estimated that the bald guy was using these alien fools, and once his goals were achieved, he'd cut off their supplies, treat them as disposable.

Whether or not the package even contained a chicken leg would depend on Luthor's mood.

Batman couldn't be contacted either, leaving the latest Earth intelligence unknown; Su Ming could only judge based on experience that Luthor and the aliens weren't truly aligned.

They must have two or more different goals.

Luthor needs to reenact Genesis, flooding Earth as a reverse of the original Creation step.

Whether he seeks the Tear of Extinction or something else, it's all for his grand plan, creating various situations, yet the main goal never shifts.

The best method would be to find Luthor and launch a few large fireballs, but he can't be found, so we can only speculate on what he plans to do.

Luthor has completed other preparations, leaving only the creation of animals and humans to accomplish the grand event of reversing Genesis.

If correct, Luthor would first target the Red of All Beings, eradicating current animal concepts, and the great flood would nearly accomplish that.

Then it's left to create humans.

Is he to make robots? Bio-humans? Or clones?

Luthor's tech tree is highly comprehensive, and with a Mother Box on hand, he can create any type of human he desires.

It's likely Earthlings have disappointed him now; he believes he represents the human will, intending to create an entirely new human race.

Su Ming can't guess where Luthor is now; forget three burrows for a cunning rabbit, Luthor's much shrewder than a rabbit.

So what Su Ming can do now is continue assembling existing forces, preparing for a great battle, and then seizing the benefits Luthor intended for himself...
