Chapter 507 - Chapter 471: Destruction Legion Surprise Attack

Since stealth isn't very realistic, why not just swagger in?

Thanks to previously skinning Zhen Hai with dual blades, Su Ming had thoroughly familiarized himself with the enemy's height, weight, and body details, and he had memorized the armor's shape and structure.

With Strangulation around, these are trivial matters.

Although his transformation isn't particularly perfect, appearing somewhat greasy, the Alien Sea God is naturally damp, so it's no problem at all.

The cloak just needs to be hidden, turned into a handkerchief-sized piece of cloth, tucked behind the neck.

So after he took off the uniform, the girls who were originally covering their eyes and peeking through their fingers found that there was more beneath the armor than just underwear.

There was an additional layer of black matter, and this matter surged like liquid, quickly transforming him into Zhen Hai's likeness.

Though the resemblance wasn't great at first, constant adjustments soon made it identical to their impression.

Now with this 'skin suit,' Su Ming believed it was enough to infiltrate the opposing camp to stir up some trouble.

However, he didn't know any Water Control Magic, had no Divine Power, and was certainly incapable of speaking Alien languages, all points to pay attention to.

Yet after becoming Zhen Hai, the identity speaks for itself; after all, he is a god, and encountering issues can be solved by slapping aliens.

Unfortunately, aliens lack slogans like 'Hail Hydra'; otherwise, he could have learned them. Just the other day, he smoothly journeyed from Paris to Marseille Port by slapping and chanting slogans.

"Tell me, do I look like that Alien now?"

He spread his arms, displaying briefly; Strangulation mimicked the limb muscle movements effortlessly, though the facial expressions were a bit stiff.

But which god is all smiles every day? A neutral expression is more fitting.

Donna first came over with a face full of surprise; Slade once impersonated Batman in a battle against the Crow Death God, and she had originally meant to ask about it, but the busy happenings made her forget.

Now seeing firsthand the effects caused by that black organism, her curiosity was piqued.

First circling around for a look, she reached out to touch, and finally even sniffed the scent.

Identical to her impression, apart from the lack of similar aura, it was as if the Alien Sea God had returned.

Watching Donna sniff around like an animal, Su Ming rubbed his own face.

He was a professional assassin, right? Scent, such an obvious feature, was of course under imitation.

Although the Sea God carried the ocean's salty musk, the fishy smell was Strangulation's easiest to mimic.

It constantly ate brains and innards, raw, so fishy indeed.

The scent of blood mixed with seawater was enough to fool lower-level alien guards and locate Arthur.

"Stop sniffing, human smell is inferior to animals; even if you sniff more, you won't find anything amiss." Su Ming held her head, encouraging more seriousness.

How does this girl seem brain-fried ever since returning to the Titans?

Garfield nodded, changing into a dog, intending to sniff too, only to be slapped away by Su Ming.

If a girl wants to sniff, fine, but what are you as a man joining in the fun for? Disgusting.

Garfield looked aggrieved, suggesting it's for the plan's success, becoming the most scent-sensitive animal to check things out, isn't it for everyone's good?

Why hit someone?

"Because it's unnecessary; do you really think an alien dares to sniff a god's scent closely? A general likeness is enough."

Bo Bo ultimately expressed no intention of inspecting, having confidence in Deathstroke; since the plan was made, thorough consideration must be present.

Seeing Garfield's aggrieved eyes, Bo Bo went over to help the dog up, stroking Garfield's green fur, explaining.

Given Zhen Hai's previous disgrace, he's probably too embarrassed to show up before alien lackeys for a while; now imitating him was the perfect timing.

Diana was still holding that large shell, merely tilting her head towards the crowd, since Slade decided to venture solo, this was a warrior's choice.

Bravery indeed, diving alone into the enemy's nest, she could only silently wish him well.

However, Slade risking so much to save Arthur, solely because she expressed the desire to rescue, made her slightly uneasy.

All earlier grievances were flipped away, her worry shifted towards Slade.

Of course, they weren't aware Su Ming had a secret up his sleeve.

Even if discovered or confronted, who could hinder his escape? Instantly retreating to the Marvel World ensured safety.

But it was unnecessary to reveal, Su Ming instead posed with an aura of impending departure, gazing forty-five degrees upward at the ceiling.

"I am off; alas, if I don't return, follow Diana's command." Su Ming picked up his Owl Dagger, concealing it under Strangulation's transformed armor: "If Arthur and I die, bury our equipment beneath the Hall of Justice, don't bother looking for our remains..."

Truth is, I possibly may never return, shouldn't you seize the opportunity to be moved?

This is for the rescue of a Justice League leader, hurry up and boost our favorability!

The Titans' and Shadow Contract's responses satisfied him, these youths' eyes brimming with concern and gratitude, willing to risk everything for Earth, what spirit is this?!

This Otherworldly Deathstroke and the old guy in their world are worlds apart, practically a paragon in the hero realm, worthy of emulation by young people!

Only Bo Bo, perceiving it all, played idly with his fingers aside; Slade intentionally created the farewell atmosphere for a purpose, deceiving the kids was plausible, but his Gorilla self wouldn't buy it.

But Diana seems to have been fooled too, what's up with her gaze? Oh no, is it the feeling of being moved?

Bo Bo suddenly noticed Diana also seemed very touched, and immediately felt utterly despondent, is she too innocent?

Disbanding the Dark Justice League seems appropriate, such gullible leadership is too dangerous!

Not everyone was moved, though. Poison Ivy and Harley, along with the Banshee, remain unaffected.

The Banshee is always in a daze, her reaction to external stimuli is poor, like a natural airhead.

Poison Ivy doesn't believe Deathstroke would sacrifice himself, let alone for the sake of saving the Justice League.

Harley, on the other hand, doesn't feel anything about death. What is death? Can you eat it?

The two were playing Nine Palaces with leaves and petals on the ground, casually waved as they heard Deathstroke speak.

"Oh, bye-bye."

Then she lowered her head and continued to play, not taking it seriously at all.

Su Ming helplessly looked at her, this thoroughly ruined the mood, your farewell is way too ordinary!

...................

"The hall has collapsed, the protective shield's energy is depleted."

In the dark corridors beneath the Hall of Justice, the emotionless synthesized voice from the computer echoed, and if listened carefully, the sound of flowing water could be heard from somewhere.

Purple seawater had already flooded into the castle, this hall underwater was finally crushed by water pressure and broke through the protective shield.

All screens in the command center had already gone dark, the heroes Batman previously saw all turned into Fish-Men.

And he was also cut off from Superman and Barry.

Now, he just held Can Luo, sitting on a chair, entering the room where the Totality was stored, tightly guarding it.

"Can Luo, something is breaking through our protective shield, can you sense anything?"

Sea Star answered him.

"No, I can't feel anything, will we be alright?"

Batman assured it, they'd be fine, they would win.

This was his style, his method, from witnessing his parents die in Crime Alley, he saw everything, wanting to make a change.

But now, idealism and reality seem separated by a chasm, an ocean.

Impossible to cross, filled with deadly peril.

Isolation is not Batman's enemy, this underwater state, severed from all external contact, wouldn't make him feel unfamiliar.

He still had his plan.

"Justice League, I am about to shift, take the Totality and..."

Just as he spoke, he heard a 'bang bang bang' knocking sound from the alloy door behind him, an exaggerated and distorted voice sounded from outside the door.

The voice was so familiar, echoing countless times in his dreams.

"Batman, can I come in? Hehehehehe..."

But before Batman could react, the door was directly exploded by powerful energy, crumbling like a clay sculpture instantly.

The door material was an alloy of N Metal and Promethium Metal, which in conventional metals, was known to Batman as the strongest material.

Like Deathstroke's armor, it can withstand dual attacks of technology and magic, but different from single infantry armor, the door thickness was 50 cm, designed initially to resist nuclear bombs or similar high-powered attacks.

Yet now, it seemed inferior to a cardboard box, turning to ashes in the orange-red light.

Batman saw the familiar smiling figure outside the door, who tilted his head, gripping his hair, fiercely pulling at his face, revealing bloodshot eyes.

"Or are we just not at the right time?"

Luthor strode into the defense hall, bypassed the Joker's position, heading with his Destruction Legion towards the Totality.

Batman was knocked to the ground by the door explosion, still hugging Can Luo, looking extremely awkward.

Many bones in his body were rebroken just now, the chair acting as a wheelchair flew aside, but he was still wearing Power Armor.

Moreover, it was the Bat model.

Batman once told Superman, although this armor looked simple, the various tools it carried matched half of the Bat Cave.

But to fight all those facing him alone, even half of the Bat Cave wouldn't be enough.

Thus, Batman pressed a few buttons on the wrist of the armor, instantly releasing flash bombs from it, followed by smoke bombs.

He knew Luthor would come looking for him, and he was prepared.

Only, the timing wasn't great, the Hall of Justice couldn't support much longer, the Destruction Legion arrived later than he imagined, and he didn't see Black Manta appear.

However, these thoughts merely drifted through his mind, becoming quickly unimportant, under the cover of the flash and smoke bombs, the armor swiftly brushed past Luthor and his men, disappearing into the passageway from which they came.
