Chapter 517 - Chapter 481: Let There Be Light

Barbara left Black Canary and Green Arrow to talk privately and went to find a corner to sit in by herself.

She was also a bit unsure about what to do. Now, everyone was essentially trapped in the submarine, and not to mention that the surrounding waters were all purple, even surfacing was risky due to alien ships.

In this situation where all communications are cut off, how can one contact Batman? Barbara was suddenly at a loss.

..........

At the Blood Reef, the three Sea Gods were having a gray and disheveled meeting.

Nu Tao was furious due to Arthur's escape and the sudden mysterious annihilation of the Tomb of the Gods, pulling her hair in rage.

The Lone Brave Captain, on the other hand, had to lead the fleet to attack Earth but faced resistance from many human governments, along with numerous heroes opposing him, which was exhausting.

Zhen Hai Commander had been struck by a sword and let his opponent obtain the Tear of Extinction, causing black water to continuously flow from his wound.

After a round of exchange, the three Sea Gods fell into a pessimistic mood.

"The Atlanteans have escaped, the Tomb of the Gods is annihilated, and all our old friends are dead," Nu Tao curled up painfully on the throne.

Blackbeard's Lone Brave Captain also raised his octopus arm to show the two his riddled, bitten limb.

"The Earthlings now possess the powers of life and annihilation. How can we fight against them?"

Zhen Hai Commander, clutching his belly, leaned against a mound of coral. Having brushed shoulders with death, he now seemed indifferent to life and death.

"We are Sea Gods; even if we were to fall, we should die gloriously."

Black Manta paced back and forth anxiously. The retreat had made him very angry as he knew that without finishing off Superman and Barry, they would undoubtedly survive.

This would lead to more trouble in the future.

Now, listening to the three Sea Gods wallow in self-pity was particularly irritating to him.

"Enough of this self-pitying nonsense. This is a war, a war of survival. Bring out the heavy weapons!"

"Heavy weapons?"

"Yes, indeed. You have already obtained your rightful half of the Tear of Extinction. Inject it into the Flood Demon and turn it into the ultimate weapon," Black Manta further incited.

Zhen Hai Commander frowned: "For the ocean's sake, that would create a Death Sea Demon, a creature that could destroy my planet. I am uncertain if this is right."

"Tsk tsk, don't hesitate. Your enemies won't spare you. They'll kill you. Stop thinking about conquering Earth's oceans—figure out how to survive first!"

Black Manta's enormous helmet completely obscured his expression, but his tone was sinister and icy.

"No, it's too dangerous," Nu Tao opposed, knowing well that once the Flood Demon fused with the Tear of Extinction, even the Sea Gods wouldn't stand a chance against it.

"But we could eliminate our enemies before they even realize it," the Lone Brave Captain was tempted.

Zhen Hai Commander touched the collar on his neck, "Perhaps the Bone Ring can give me some way to control it. We've been pushed to the brink."

Nu Tao fell silent for a moment and sighed deeply, "Yes, humans won't spare us. They'll cross the Multiverse to chase us down. We're out of options now."

This isn't a figurative expression; Kryptonians and Speedsters are fully capable of such feats.

As for Superman and The Flash not killing, these aliens were unaware, and Luthor certainly wouldn't inform them of such things.

"Yes, yes, you're already touching this world. Why hesitate now? It's just one last step—use any means to seize it!"

Black Manta reached out his hand and clenched it into a fist, helping the three Sea Gods make up their minds, just as in Luthor's plan.

To fight the Justice League to the death...

............

"The Totality was taken by Luthor. I only managed to escape with Can Luo," Batman extracted a small glass jar from his armor, and the purple sea star inside curiously observed everything around.

Diana glanced at Su Ming; the situation was exactly as he had described. Batman had truly executed such a risky plan, allowing Luthor to obtain the Totality.

Su Ming showed no reaction; this was completely within his expectations. Life, indeed, felt lonely as snow. He transformed the Godslayer into a feather fan and began to fan himself.

Diana pursed her lips and grabbed Batman's arm.

"I think our Justice League needs to have a private talk. Everyone, come over."

With that, she dragged the completely immobilized, expressionless Batman to the warehouse area behind the ship.

The soles of the armor scraped against the deck, sending sparks flying, and the light disappeared down the corridor.

Arthur knew what was going on, but Barry and Superman were utterly confused. However, since Diana called for a Justice League meeting, a meeting it shall be.

Barry gave an apologetic smile to the others, then followed along. All five members of the Justice League left the bridge, and soon heated arguments could be vaguely heard, accompanied by sounds of scuffles.

Bo Bo looked at the ceiling and whistled.

Donna and Garfield seemed obviously uneasy—could it be that at such a critical moment, the Justice League might fall into internal strife?

"Do you need me to listen in on what they're saying?" Steel Armor sneaked up to Su Ming and asked quietly.

"No need, the internal affairs of the Justice League have nothing to do with us." Su Ming shook his head. He knew such small tactics wouldn't pose any threat to the League's unity, but his plan was precisely like this.

Without listening to their meeting, Su Ming could already guess that Batman would deceive them all. This strategy worked in the past, but now with Su Ming as their backup brain, the more Batman said, the more wrong he'd be.

Now, the goal is to make the Justice League feel despair, to force Batman to bring out the "Transcend" door handle sooner so that Su Ming will have the opportunity to grab it.

"What should we do next?" Bo Bo inquired, sensing vaguely that Deathstroke had a major plan, but couldn't pinpoint what it was.

"We have the Tear of Extinction, and even though it's just a little, it's enough to kill those three Sea Gods. If I'm not mistaken, they intend to go for a desperate final strike, so we must choose the final battleground wisely now."

Su Ming quickly answered Bo Bo's question.

"Atlantis?" Bo Bo's eyes focused.

"Considering that the initiative isn't really in our hands, I'd rather choose Blood Reef as the final battleground, but the alien Sea Gods will surely want to swap homes with us, so we might as well wait on Earth for them."

Su Ming smoked while fanning himself, looking very relaxed:

"Since the ones who wronged them were the ancient Atlanteans, those three alien Sea Gods will definitely choose the sea region where Atlantis is located to settle the score. Even though it has been completely submerged, its symbolic meaning is very important to the aliens."

"Do we need to prepare anything in advance? Like plant some landmines?" Bo Bo asked again.

"No, that's your responsibility. I need to act elsewhere for a while. Once the Justice League's meeting is over, inform them that all command authority has been handed over to Batman."

"Huh?" Bo Bo was stunned again. What's this strategy? I can't understand it at all!

Su Ming planned to lay low for a while because he was the one who tipped off Diana and Arthur about Batman's plan. While Batman showed no expression, Su Ming's threat level in his mind must be skyrocketing.

Now, he'll use retreat as his advance, making it difficult for Batman to understand Su Ming's intentions, just in time for him to slip away and complete his preparations in the shadows.

"That's it, bye-bye, and keep an eye on Diana for me." Su Ming's last words to Donna: "Harley, Ivy, come with me."

"Hmm? Do we have a task?" Harley smiled and licked her lips.

"If you want to spend time with Batman, you can stay." Su Ming walked out without looking back.

"....alright, we'll stick with you then."

Harley shivered, seemingly remembering something. She hefted her hammer and followed Su Ming. Ivy was, of course, going wherever Harley went.

Bo Bo looked at the Shadow Contract Team and then back at Deathstroke's retreating figure. Did he recruit Shadow Contract just to drain Earth? Or is there another unseen purpose?

But Deathstroke decisively left, leaving Bo Bo with no clue.

The trio returned to the Justice League's backup spaceship, which had stayed in the mothership's cargo for a long time and was now ready for use again.

"I want to sit in the co-pilot seat!" Harley quickly ran and took the co-pilot seat: "Just like a police car, the ones in the back are all prisoners!"

Ivy rolled her eyes. Sometimes she couldn't even guess what was going on in Harley's little head.

But if Harley wanted to sit in the co-pilot seat, she could. Ivy looked at her indulgently and then communicated with Deathstroke.

"What's your plan?"

Su Ming started the spaceship, broke free from the alien sailboat, and without looking ahead, he said, "Do you know about Genesis?"

"You mentioned before that it was Luthor's plan." Ivy nodded.

"Good, now I need to find my light." Su Ming replied confidently.

Ivy furrowed her brows. She didn't want things to get more chaotic: "But what can we do? What good will this do you?"

"Good? Of course there is, but it's hard to explain to you. But don't worry, I'll ensure the multiverse's survival, and your precious plants will be safe."

"Oh, that's good, as long as Harley thinks it's fun to follow you, we'll follow you. Do you have a more concrete plan?"

Su Ming raised the spacecraft, and upon reaching Earth's isolation net, he slipped out of the ship and used the Great Sword to make an opening, allowing the ship passage.

"I need to retrieve something from the Light Storage."

"Oh? Does it have to do with the Lantern Group? I like that, hehe." Harley smiled; she liked rings, and there were many color choices.

But they weren't really fun.

Meanwhile, the ring that Deathstroke was looking for was probably very familiar to Harley—it was the one on the middle finger of Black Hand's right hand, the Black Lantern Ring...
