Su Ming sighed, knowing the root cause was that the girls simply didn't trust him.
Their instructors must have played similar tricks.
For example, having a strange guard pretend to be a good Samaritan, a kind-hearted person.
Unlocking the girls' handcuffs, claiming to take them away to escape.
And if a girl really followed the guard out of the room, it inevitably meant the indoctrination wasn't thorough enough, and being punished or even executed was likely.
Leviathan wanted the girls to understand that no one could save them, and that obedience was their only option.
The physical cage wasn't the strongest method; this kind of confinement facility was secondary, the mental cage was the priority, making those trapped inside relinquish hope and thus accept transformation.
The girls likely went through a bloody lesson, learning not to follow strangers who freed them at night.
"Calm down, I'm from the United States." Su Ming reached out and lightly poked the girl's cheek, indicating he meant no harm.
"Ow!"
The girl tried to bite his finger, still resisting.
The young girl didn't know where the United States was; for a secret organization, countries weren't borders of an influence map, just simple place names.
Their lessons hadn't yet covered geography.
Su Ming withdrew his finger, worried that his hand armor might break the girl's teeth.
He took a deep breath; the "I'm an American" trick from movies didn't work here… reality was truly dark.
"Do you know Natalia? I'm here because her family asked me to rescue her; her full name is Natalia Alianova Romanova, she loves teddy bears, her adoptive father is Ivan, she was born in Stalingrad, later lived in Moscow. See, guards wouldn't know these things, your previous intelligence is meaningless to the Red House."
The little girl being held stopped struggling, and looked back at the girl on the bed, appearing very surprised.
"Really? You're really not a guard?"
"No." Su Ming put the little girl down, posing no threat: "And I really came from a very, very far place."
"But I still won't go out." The little girl remained standing in place, not intending to leave.
"In a moment I'll go rescue others, you can watch from the doorway, I've killed all the guards outside." Su Ming turned to release the girl on the bed, her earlier struggle having bruised her wrist.
After removing the handcuffs, the girl still looked uncomfortable, painfully clutching her leg.
"I kicked the air earlier and dislocated my leg." She slowly sat up, leaning against the bed head: "Can you carry me out?"
Saying this, she lifted the hem of her dress a little, showing Su Ming her leg.
Su Ming sighed, they still wanted to kill him, still didn't believe.
"Let your roommate carry you, I'm busy here."
Su Ming wasn't going to fall for such a trick; whether they believed him or not, in these hundreds of cells, he'd eventually find someone willing to trust him.
With someone taking the lead, it would be easier.
The two little girls quietly exchanged a glance, why was it different from the instructors' lessons?
Wasn't it said that men couldn't resist glancing at women's legs? Why did this guy just turn around and leave?
Is he really human? Could it just be a moving suit of armor?
"What should we do?" The first little girl released showed conflicted feelings, slightly wanting to check the door.
The girl on the bed landed lightly on the floor, perfectly fine: "Let's listen for any sounds, you stay away from the door."
"He's incredibly strong, even stronger than the strongest instructor." The earlier girl sighed.
"If you don't want to risk your life, wait a bit, I'll peek at the outside situation."
.............
Su Ming opened the opposite room and met a similar reception, except here the two girls attempted to seduce him, to which he remained indifferent and left.
Thus, there were two more curious little faces at the door, cautiously peeking out, exchanging glances with the girls across the hall.
But the corridor was still quiet, only the sound of Su Ming jingling keys unlocking doors.
The corridor was somewhat brightly lit, the girls then saw the guards slumped here and there, with two large bundles placed by the staircase landing.
Su Ming had Strangulation place the things there; if unnecessary, he didn't want the girls to see the Symbiote, since they were already paranoid, seeing Strangulation's form… it'd be even harder to explain.
While unlocking, Su Ming turned his head, seeing golden hair retracting at the previous two doorways, they seemed to be peeking.
Su Ming thought for a moment, went to the corridor's center, and hacked up a few guards' corpses, threw their rifles and heads outside the doors.
These patrolling guards they should recognize, throwing them out might increase credibility.
But it still wasn't enough, the girls couldn't determine if this was another trick by the instructors, as there were plans using guard corpses as bait; anyone could be sacrificed.
Despite the good weapons, whether there were bullets was also a question.
Ultimately, they just didn't believe.
Su Ming wasn't in a hurry, once he opened all the rooms and everyone was released, he could even wait at the main exit for them to come out on their own.
The usual routine of life has been broken, and curiosity will lead them to take action.
Opening the door, unlocking the handcuffs, explaining a little, and sparring with the girls, just repeating this over and over.
But still, no one dared to step out the door.
"Hmm, this cell seems a bit special, there are two guards stationed at the entrance..."
Su Ming continued to open doors, and every time he turned his head back, he always saw some little heads retracting from the doorway, like a game of whack-a-mole.
However, when he opened this door, he was almost immediately attacked, as the people inside this cell were not locked up.
A blonde girl blocked his sight by hugging his head, while another attempted an attack using a move similar to Monkey Stealing Peaches.
This won't work; although Su Ming couldn't see, his Spatial Perception Power and Strangulation's visual sharing were not for nothing.
He grabbed the two girls and dragged them directly into the corridor, gently shook his hand, and threw them onto the pile of guard corpses.
"Go ask someone else, I'm too lazy to explain."
Then, as if nothing had happened, he continued to open the next door.
Dotti and Anya were bewildered; they initially thought it was the guards opening the door, as usual in the morning, but they didn't expect the one who entered to be a completely unfamiliar monster.
Black and yellow armor, a red single eye, like a walking machine.
But with an arrow strung, they immediately attacked him and were then directly flung away, like throwing out a small stone.
Upon landing, they rolled to dissipate the force and picked up guns from the corpses.
These advanced submachine gun bullets were fully loaded and cocked.
It's just that the guards clearly didn't even have time to unlock the safety; dozens of them practically died instantly at the same moment.
"Anya, take the grenades. If we have to die, our bodies can't fall into their hands."
Dotti held the gun vigilantly, reminding her friend to take grenades from the corpses.
"I don't think he's a guard." Anya quickly gathered usable equipment and hid in a nearby room: "He seems to be rescuing people."
"Don't be fooled; nothing's that coincidental. It must be a trap, and if the assault team comes down, remember to save bullets."
Dotti didn't believe it at all, keeping guard over the stairs and the armored person at the same time.
Su Ming opened a new room and released the girls, but the two girls in this new room didn't overreact.
"I heard just now, you're looking for someone."
"Yes, I'm looking for Natalia."
"Why are you looking for her?"
"Because of a mutual acquaintance, Logan Houtley, a Canadian with indistinguishable beard and sideburns who can extend bones from his hands."
The girl looked over at another girl, who nodded: "I'm Natalia, you've found me."
Su Ming observed, although she had red hair, there were too many red-haired kids here for that to be enough evidence.
However, he had a flash of insight, pointing to another girl: "No, you're not. She is."
The previous girl was indeed red-haired, with shoulder-length red hair: "How did you figure it out?"
"Nate?!"
The girl who claimed to be Natasha showed a shocked expression, unable to accept that Natasha had acknowledged her identity, but Su Ming noticed she was secretly moving closer, seemingly planning to steal his gun.
"Because of the accent issue, Natalia was raised by Ivan, learning language mainly from her adoptive father, so her Russian unavoidably carries an accent."
Su Ming swatted away the hand attempting to steal the gun and picked up the two like kittens, placing them in the corridor.
"And you have no accent; you grew up here, which reveals a flaw. Consider this your first lesson from me: don't play games of truth and deception, as not every enemy has patience."
The imposter girl, like the floor of the corridor was burning her feet, immediately tried to retreat back into the room, but Natasha held her back.
"You said Uncle sent you to find me?"
Natasha was somewhat convinced; she had seen Wolverine in action, killing an Upper Ninja with just one claw. If it's his friend, their strength would also be enough to break into the Red House.
This is indeed a rescue.
Uncle is how she refers to Wolverine, yet now Wolverine... is probably just at the start of countless episodes of amnesia fate.
Yes, Logan lost his memory. In 1943, he should have been secretly controlled, with the mastermind being another madman named 'Romulus', planning to enlist Wolverine in the military to assassinate Captain America.
"I know him, but he didn't send me to rescue you. He thought you were already living a good life with Ivan."
Natasha showed a wry smile, the young girl lowered her head and sighed: "They've invested too much in me, I can no longer have good days."
Su Ming patted her head and continued to open the doors in the corridor: "That's only here, but in the United States, Leviathan can't reach."
"Are you taking me to the United States?"
"No, I'm taking all of you, as long as they are willing."
