Chapter 676 - Chapter 635: Shadow Operations (Part 2)

These days, Su Ming has been gathering intelligence from all directions.

Inside the Strategic Science Corps, office politics continue, with various desperate-to-guild people entering there, and it's a daily game of thrones. Currently, the only team doing something worthwhile is Nick Fury's Roaring Assault Team.

Peggy and Steve seem to be completely out of it, spending all their time in the stink of love. In fact, Peggy has been marginalized; she's happily taken a long vacation, going off with Steve.

After the atomic bomb project, Howard seems to have gained new inspiration. Recently, he's even put aside mahjong, and according to the spy reports from SSR logistics, this physics genius is consuming a large amount of resources every day.

The Paperclip Plan to divide Germany has been implemented, with vast wealth, resources, and scientists flowing into the United States, like Dr. Zola, who is currently working with Howard.

Of course, Su Ming knows he is still with Hydra and remains one of its leaders.

However, this world still needs his contributions.

Zola is not only a world pioneer in genetic engineering and electronic computer technology, but also his future creation of Z World, a technology that uses science to create a Chaos Dimension, which Su Ming is quite eager to see.

The technology of creating dimensions is very useful, and Zola will also have the technology to adjust the flow of time and consciousness electronification in the future, all of which are quite impressive.

Compared to Dr. Erskine... well, he's only fit to plant pineapples. In the Marvel World, a single-discipline doctor is really not worth much.

Thinking of this, Su Ming's gaze involuntarily falls on the adjutant in the office corner.

At this time, the golden long-horned helmet snatched from Loki is placed on the semi-robot's head, and with the shadow of the lights, it seems quite fitting.

The technological equipment obtained from Doom is being assembled in a room specially emptied downstairs by Valeria and Franklin.

Valeria is not an ordinary child. Su Ming made a deal with her; she is in charge of assembling and debugging the space-time machine, and Su Ming will ensure her parents' safety at the end of time.

Originally, Franklin was Su Ming's ultimate solution, but fortunately, even at the end of the Immortal Palace incident, things did not escalate to the point of needing to reboot the universe.

It was quite a relief.

When planning, there's always a need to leave a margin, even when facing neighborhood-level enemies, prepare for planet-level crises. This is the secret to Deathstroke's mission success rate always being 100%, something not even told to a little cousin.

But Wade always has a beast style, with his plans simply being comedic, followed by chopping people down.

After the machine installation and debugging were completed, the two kids had already been sent back to the future by him with the Secret Guest. The equipment below is now controlled by the adjutant.

Now, it just needs to merge with the Conqueror's equipment and do some research, then Su Ming can slightly fast-forward some time.

There's no choice. Even though he has the Time Gem, he can't use this gem to speed up the entire universe. In the end, he still needs to use time jump methods.

Relying on the Secret Guest's ability constantly isn't an option either, as the Secret Guest must spend half of each year at the Hell Border, fulfilling her duties as the Lord of Hell, maintaining the monarchy undiminished.

If there's a need to use the traversal ability when the Secret Guest happens to be busy, it would be troublesome. So it's better to have space-time jumping abilities of his own.

However, the research still needs some time, as this equipment must be paired with Doom's armor or an advanced Destruction Robot to be used.

At that time, the robot self-destructed, not to injure Su Ming and the others, but to destroy its own parts. So now Su Ming can only rely on the adjutant to reverse-engineer the technology, adding more research tasks onto her.

There's still a pile of things left unresolved, the most crucial being maintaining the flow of history.

At the time at the Hell Border, Professor X came with people, and Phoenix and he both provided help, also stating something.

'You are a friend to Eric and me, and you instructed us to arrive at a certain time.'

That's more or less how it went. For these things to happen, Su Ming must prepare in advance, which means becoming friends with Professor X and the Magnetic King earlier.

What kind of person can be called a friend? Naturally, someone who provides help when they are in trouble. And the Magnetic King's trouble should be the story of escaping from the concentration camp recently.

Gin doesn't need to become her former male appearance anymore. Her current identity is the granddaughter of the former 'Gin.'

Anyway, Wilson Enterprises is completely under Su Ming's direction. The mafia background has this advantage, where whatever the boss says goes.

Even though her appearance has changed, Gin's essence is still that Gin, and she even lets herself go more because Su Ming knows her background.

Her office is now moved next to Su Ming's, with beast hide on the floor, adorned with swords and shields on the walls, and various animal specimens. At first glance, one might think they've entered a Hunter's Lodge.

Before Su Ming returned, she had taken over all her former businesses as a successor, and she also eliminated some signs of disobedience.

..........

The thought process hardly took a second; after Gin spoke, Su Ming immediately continued the conversation.

He turned around and placed the empty glass on the table, gently rubbing the table that was gradually dimming, and relaxedly said in a Ge You-like slump, "Wade has something going on, and Lianna also needs time adjustment, while I need some intelligence here."

"Shouldn't we be guarding against Odin's revenge first?" Gin pushed hair behind her ear, refilled the glass and handed it to Su Ming: "I understand, he wasn't a magnanimous person before, being knocked down by mortals might drive him crazy."

Su Ming raised the glass with five fingers, took a sip: "He was indeed a bit irritable after waking up, but Wade loves reasoning with others, and I have a deal with Loki, which happens to be a backup plan against being secretly attacked."

"We can't be certain of his attitude; nobody can guess his thoughts."

Su Ming nodded with a smile. It stands to reason Odin should not be so easily ambushed from behind. Su Ming didn't even use several planned steps that followed, solving him simply with the Secret Guest, which is also a point of suspicion.

But that's of no importance.

"Odin often says something, which you might have heard him say."

Gin took the bottle right away, took a swig directly from it, and wiped her delicate chin with the back of her hand.

"What is it?"

"He likes to say 'I am the Immortal Palace, the Immortal Palace is me,' so we don't need to ponder Odin's attitude; just look at Asgard's attitude towards me." Su Ming lit another cigarette, stroking his beard with his fingers.

"How do you see it?" Gin asked as she tidied up the desk filled with Wade's leftover trash.

"Simple, Heimdall!"

Su Ming snapped his fingers, looked up towards the sky, calling out to the ever-watchful guard of the Immortal Palace, as the Rainbow Bridge arrived in an instant.

As if directly piercing through the roof, the seven-colored bright beam appeared in the office, causing papers to rustle with the air current it brought.

"See, Asgard still welcomes the Supreme Mage."

Su Ming smiled and raised an eyebrow at Gin.
