"Deathstroke, the situation..."
As Su Ming silently calculated, while Cindy and Thomas discussed the price, Green Arrow indeed showed up quietly by his side.
"No time to explain, get in the car quickly."
Su Ming grabbed his hand, and with his other hand, he tossed out a teleportation gate, and the two of them jumped right in.
Green Arrow was completely at a loss, and not being a match for Su Ming in terms of strength, he was dragged into the teleportation gate like a little chicken.
"Hey? Wait, who was that just now? Where is this place?"
Passing through the teleportation gate, Green Arrow staggered after being spat out by the passage. The Inverted Man's teleportation always made one dizzy, and he was just an ordinary person, not a superhuman like Wonder Woman and Arthur.
The air around had a strange smell, and it was pitch black all around, so much so that you couldn't see your hand in front of you.
"Inverted Man, lighting technique."
Su Ming pointed above his head, and immediately a light ball emerged from a small array, floating like a jellyfish in mid-air, illuminating the surrounding scene.
Oliver also rubbed his eyes; the sudden change of light required a moment of adjustment, but he finally saw what the surroundings looked like.
This was a vast underground hall, with the scent of decay permeating the nostrils, and in the center of the hall stood a giant white marble statue. Despite being wrapped in spider webs and having some insect corpses, he could clearly see that it was an upright owl.
Like perched on a tree branch, the statue's large eyes were wide open, seemingly watching over everything.
Surrounding the two were many stone blocks lying flat on the ground, more than two meters long, eighty centimeters wide and high.
"Wait, is this an underground mausoleum?"
Oliver saw the coffins and recognized it. These coffins looked very luxurious, carved with owls spreading their wings, each one seemingly embraced by the wings.
"Owl's Mausoleum, my friend, this is the final resting place of the Owl Court in Gotham over the centuries." Su Ming casually opened a coffin, saw the skeleton inside, these people didn't even have names, only a golden owl mask: "Amber gold only delays aging, brings joy, but in Gotham, human deaths are often not from old age."
Green Arrow rubbed his face: "I came back to talk to you about dimension matters, not to help you deal with the Mad Laugh."
Su Ming didn't show his face, but took a step back, displaying a surprised action: "What? You spent money wanting to join the action, isn't it up to a working guy like me to decide the itinerary? Can't a big boss like you sit in the back peeling sunflower seeds?"
Oliver was speechless too, how come Deathstroke suddenly talked about consumer rights? You haven't mentioned it all along the way!
"Not talking about that, Batman has found the Troublemaker...."
Oliver planned to talk about what happened at the Hall of Justice, but Deathstroke didn't give him a chance to continue, only hearing a low voice continue to speak:
"I've been thinking, why did Mad Laugh want to bring Happy Dad and the Mayor of Gotham to the Main World, couldn't he kill them elsewhere? And the new Dark Knight Order he brought was almost defeated by us one by one, a mistake he clearly made before. There's something very wrong with this."
Su Ming directly started talking about the peculiarities of Mad Laugh, seeming not to care at all about matters over at the Hall of Justice.
As he spoke, he also went to the owl statue to tap and knock, like choosing a watermelon, even floating up to the statue's face to peek into the owl's beak, as if checking if there were mice nesting inside.
Oliver just heard him seemingly muttering to himself, 'Just like the city catacombs in Paris.'
Consumer Green Arrow sighed: "Alright, if you think nothing bad will happen at the Hall of Justice, then focusing here first is fine...."
Deathstroke nodded, and those red eyes could be seen floating like ghostly flames.
"Batman has found the Troublemaker, looks like he has repaired the Hall of Justice and conducted dimension plans, huh? Very interesting, the Troublemaker can bypass my Earth Defense Array, this intelligence must be noted...."
Bang!
Green Arrow nearly fainted, having decided to deal with Mad Laugh first, how did Deathstroke suddenly start talking about Justice League matters again?
Besides, he talked as if he had seen it, does it need to be so accurate?
But that's secondary, Green Arrow just felt being a consumer is so hard, and Deathstroke's mind jumping back and forth made it impossible to understand what he wanted to say.
"What on earth are you trying to do? Do you have any definite direction?" Oliver already showed a look of having given up on life.
Su Ming slowly landed, the mask receding from his face. He took out a pineapple from his bag and astonishingly started peeling it with a giant sword.
"Eat some fruit for breakfast, it's good for your health, let me get a skull to hold some saline solution, otherwise, even if this is a super serum pineapple, the texture is still somewhat astringent."
"...."
What kind of ridiculous name, where does the blood in pineapple come from?! Is injecting serum into pineapple really effective?! Are these pineapples super soldiers among pineapples?!
Oliver finally awakened, and his sarcastic soul spewed out a bunch of complaints within.
Su Ming saw Green Arrow completely speechless, standing like a piece of wood in the darkness, but his eyes revealed intense inner activity, and he smiled.
"Alright, like I said, you're the paying boss, just follow me, what harm could I possibly do to you?" He sliced the pineapple in half with one sword, and didn't really soak a skeleton in the water, but instead made the water float in mid-air, sprinkled some salt, and tossed the pineapple in.
Magic can do more than just kill; it's quite convenient for daily life.
"...But I'm worried they'll be in danger." Oliver sighed, watching the golden pineapples spinning automatically in the water sphere.
"Worried about Batman? Instead of fretting, why not think about what to have for lunch." Su Ming laughed, wiping the blade with the back of his hand and directly cutting the owl statue in half with a sword.
Amidst the rumble and a cloud of dust, he brushed away the dust before him and approached the statue's base, kicking aside rubble and dirt with the sole of his shoe, bending down for a careful examination.
"The Troublemaker sent them to the Sixth Dimension to find a way to save the cosmos, Superman was the first to go through. But he returned after only a dozen seconds, changed like a new person with a new uniform..." Oliver watched Deathstroke's action, casually reporting his intelligence.
"What kind of uniform? Black? White? Metallic?" Su Ming turned his head to ask, seemingly intrigued.
"All white, with a white cape and all that." Green Arrow didn't know why Deathstroke asked but he simply answered: "And he looks much older, with white hair, wearing a gold headband, looks like a Sena Gang product."
Su Ming stopped his actions, casually inserted the Great Sword into the ground beside him, and rubbed his chin area under the mask: "Hmm, interesting, then what's the color of the S on his chest? Red?"
Oliver affirmed firmly, confident in his memory: "Gold, quite a conspicuous large S symbol extending from the chest to the shoulder."
"Doesn't sound like the Lord of Justice anymore, is there yet another crazy Superman?" Su Ming clicked his tongue, his tone unclear whether he was laughing or lamenting.
Oliver frowned, "So, that Superman is fake?"
Su Ming nodded, but didn't appear as tense: "Oliver, how long have you been in the Justice League?"
"Me? Probably since 2011, eight years ago." Oliver wasn't clueless, and Deathstroke's composure and calmness quickly reassured him.
"Not the earliest, nor the latest either." Su Ming said noncommittally, casually flicking pineapple strips from the aerial salty water and lowered his mask.
"Not as early as Diana and the others, but earlier than Ron and Hawk Hero." Green Arrow recalled and mentioned the situation back then.
Su Ming floated the water sphere towards Oliver, inviting him to take a pineapple piece while chewing one himself, "You've also been companions with Superman for so many years. Do you know Superman's biggest trait?"
Oliver sat down on a nearby coffin, accepting a slice of goodwill pineapple, he lowered his head in thought and then spoke:
"It's his sense of justice and moral view, and his child-like kindness..."
"Wrong! Superman's biggest trait is his preference for wearing underwear on the outside!" Su Ming shook his finger, denying Oliver's next words: "Not all Supermen with outside underwear are real, but those without, are either fake or from parallel worlds."
"This..." Oliver carefully recollected, damn it, seems like it really is that way: "Indeed, the Super Dominator doesn't have red underwear, Luthor's Bizarro doesn't either, and the one seen in white uniform, doesn't have it either..."
Though not a complete explanation, as N52 Superman doesn't wear underwear outside, but after Manhattan meddled in the Main World, Earth 0's Superman has his red underwear back.
However, there's no need to mention this.
Su Ming shrugged, revealing a relaxed expression: "Wearing underwear outside enhances combat power? It won't, it's not Batman's belt, there's no secret treasure inside. So the simple answer is, wearing underwear outside is Superman's personal hobby!"
"...."
Green Arrow thought Deathstroke's bluntness, albeit unpleasant, couldn't be refuted as it made so much sense. Superman's smile distracted people's attention from his outside underwear, such darkness?
"Obviously, you've been deceived by a counterfeit. Honestly, seeking the Troublemaker? That's somewhat insane, doesn't his nickname indicate what kind of person he is?"
Batman seems considerably impacted by the Joker Virus, though his thinking is broader, it's quite chaotic.
If he wishes to delve into dimension issues, he should consult the Bat Spirit.
Bat Spirit, also called Bat Mite, is similarly one of the strongest Five-dimensional Little Demons, and that fellow is a hardcore Batman fan, usually dressed as Batman.
Even when wandering over to Marvel, he dresses as Batman. It's clear that he would satisfy Batman's requests unconditionally if conditions allow.
It's no surprise, Batman should possess the same information as Deathstroke.
Yet he opted for the more "interesting" Troublemaker over the loyal fan Bat Spirit, enough to indicate he hopes things progress according to his plan and simultaneously make the process enjoyable.
Pursuing fun, which isn't something a typical Batman would do...
