Chapter 933 - Chapter 887: Rat Catcher

Su Ming squeezed Diana's hand and shook his head slightly, indicating that he should be the one dealing with the Queen of Pain.

Maggie Ken, like all Hell Demon Kings, can't be killed on the Main Plane, and she's psychotic; the more you fight her, the more she enjoys it, intimidation has no effect on her.

"You're making this really difficult for me, the Main World has just been through a flood, where am I supposed to find Satan worshippers for you to eat?" Su Ming took a bag of spicy strips from his waist pouch and handed it to her: "Here, have these, eat up and get to work."

Mackenzie looked at him with a 'you're kidding me' expression, but there was no expression from the face behind the mask, and the snacks were pressed closer to her.

"You think I'd eat mortal food? Unless Lucifer forces me!"

Mackenzie turned her head swiftly, and walked along the park path alone, stopping by a crater formed from an explosion, curiously checking if there were any fish inside.

"You know Lucifer is not at his peak right now, and he has gone missing, even a Raccoon Cat helped sew his wings back on, the longer you delay here, the more danger he'll face."

Su Ming withdrew his hand, tossing the spicy strips to Arthur behind him, and followed Mai Zi's steps.

"You can find him?" Maggie Ken turned around to look at him, Hell's flames burning in her blood-red eyes.

"Ta-da." Su Ming tapped his anti-toxic mask on his face, Sleep Demon Mask knows many people: "See what this is? I have a lead, but I'm tied up with these matters, can't handle Lucifer's issues right now. Maybe with bad luck, Xiong Yan really will inherit two Hell Planes, but think about it, collecting Lucifer's corpse might be thrilling, who knows. You decide."

Maggie Ken closed her eyes, shuddering, just the thought of such pain brought her to a climax, moments later she opened her eyes, looking at Su Ming, with amorous flirtation on her face.

"If one day you die, I'll seize your soul, keep it by my side to tell me jokes every day..."

"Haha, I'm afraid not, I have a contract with Satan, until that contract is fulfilled, my soul belongs only to Death." Su Ming knew his words were effective.

Maggie Ken couldn't ignore Izuna's son, let alone Lucifer's potential danger.

Even though she believed Lucifer couldn't truly die, now with the explosion of the Origin Wall and the Multiverse being devoured, she's not so sure.

Damn Deathstroke seized that point, he's even more disgusting than Constantine.

"Prepare casting materials, I'll not only help find the person, but kill him myself." She stabbed the Great Sword into the ground, as the sun rose, pedestrians gradually appeared on the road, pointing and gesturing at her, she pretended they weren't there.

"We can find whatever materials you want, but no blood sacrifices, it's not the Middle Ages anymore." Su Ming signaled to Oliver and Barry to prepare: "Can you also explain how to locate a demon? So I won't bother you next time on this matter."

Maggie Ken glanced at him, then at Diana, she suddenly leaned close to Su Ming's ear, whispering softly: "If you sleep with me, and curse me constantly during, I'll tell you the secret."

"No thanks, my Dark Level doesn't seem that high yet." Su Ming pushed her away, estimating that Maggie Ken needed a paper bag on her head to be acceptable: "Lucifer might not mind that kind of play, but I'm not a true demon."

Even pushed by great force, Maggie Ken wasn't angry; instead, she licked her red lips with pride, enjoying being treated so roughly.

But since the transaction failed, she wouldn't pay the price, she bypassed Deathstroke's probing secret, then said: "You need filthy, corrupt items, anything will suffice; human waste, leftovers from vermin, rotten corpses in the wild, all will do. Oh, live maggots work best, easier to obtain for you."

Su Ming nodded to Barry and Green Arrow: "You heard her, go."

"Ugh... I can't do it, carrying a bucket of feces over here, I'd really die in the Divine Speed Plane." Barry gagged first, eyes rolled, clearly not suited for such tasks.

"Just find someone to do it." Su Ming sighed, discovering Barry's new weakness wasn't gratifying either.

"Who would willingly do such a thing?!" Barry looked up at the sky, its endless blue made him feel slightly better, but he couldn't think about it! Couldn't think about those filthy things!

Oliver stroked his beard, indeed, in Gotham, there were some who'd handle such filth.

Like Killer Crocodile, always soaking in Gotham's sewers, even during meals he wouldn't leave the water, eating a piece of meat then bowing down for some 'soup'....

Oliver also shook his head, no, it couldn't be pondered.

Killer Crocodile was captured by the Celestial Eye Association, forced to serve in the Suicide Squad, and relations with Amanda were tense, so he ruled out that route.

So who else frequented Gotham's sewers back in the day? He remembered a few, choosing a not-too-dangerous small-time player, proposing a deal should be okay.

"Go find Ostie Flanagan at Arkham." As they pondered, Su Ming pointed them in the right direction: "Codename Rat Catcher, I call him Rat Druid, he can manipulate rats, knows every dirty corner, we'll offer him a treatment agreement on behalf of the Justice League."

Rat Catcher was an inconspicuous minor villain, who used to live by exterminating rats in Gotham.

Consider him a colleague of those exterminators for cockroaches and termites, driving his van painted with rats through the streets, working hard for a living.

He exterminated rats in residents' homes, sometimes contracted by the city to drop rodenticide in the sewers, managing the city's rat population, a task spanning over twenty years.

Yet walking the dark path for long attracts Darkness, you can't just be a good person.

Once during a rat extermination, he encountered a street gunfight, a person was killed right before him, blood splattered all over him.

At that moment, police arrived, the culprits fled, leaving him petrified, so the police arrested him without question.

Back then Gordon had not yet emerged, Bruce was still traveling, a case with undeniable evidence had no argument, not to mention he was caught holding dozens of rat traps, clearly intending to torture the corpse, too psychotic!

You say you didn't kill? Shut up! Torture!

Such was Gotham's darkness back then, for closing cases police did anything.

Under brutal torture, Rat Catcher confessed.

Consequently, sentenced for murder, particularly severe, Black Gate Prison.

Even though later, due to good behavior, his sentence was reduced, serving eighteen years, upon release he was insane.

He believed rat extermination was futile, Gotham's corruption and darkness stemmed from humans, humans were the ones who should be exterminated.

Because only rats kept him company in prison, they became friends, conversing frequently, sincerely repenting his past mistakes.

These actions unexpectedly gained acknowledgment from the Red of All Beings, becoming a kind of Druid-like Power User.

He could manipulate rats, aid in conveying messages, sabotaging structures, even committing murder.

Since then, he's resided in the sewers, living with rats daily, kidnapping a slew of corrupt officials, imprisoning them in sewer-converted water prisons, allowing rats to nibble on them, infecting them with decay, yet not allowing them to die.

A dozen corrupt officials were trapped underground for five years, tormented by rats each day.

During this time, Bruce returned to Gotham as Batman.

Such behavior was naturally noticed, but initially, Batman couldn't be bothered with him; though the methods were dark, it was anti-hero behavior, he wasn't killing anyone, just inflicting pain.

However, while tormenting these officials, Rat Catcher also tortured his own sanity.

Being in darkness for too long drove him madder, he conceived a plan to spread the plague in Gotham, exterminating all humanity.

Could Batman tolerate this?

A third-rate villain couldn't possibly be a match for Batman, once defeated, he was sent straight into the newly renovated Arkham for lifelong treatment.

Yet inside the madhouse, he was rather popular, able to smuggle cigarettes and comics into Arkham through rat manipulation, becoming one of Arkham's untouchable big shots.

Anyone who provoked him would quickly have a 'helpful friend' to eliminate any threats, perhaps just for a cigarette.

And now, Maggie Ken needs a vast amount of filth, who better than Rat Catcher?

Rats in this city certainly outnumber bats.
