Chapter 971 - Chapter 924: Seriously Wounded

"This feels like the VIP seats at a baseball field." Wally shrank inside his space suit, shivering, his black face appearing a bit pale: "Except we're here to witness Earth's destruction."

He chatted with others via the Teen Titans Squad internal channel.

Deathstroke had teleported them onto some floating debris in space and summoned a whole body, white-scaled, upside-down floating monster, discussing some inaudible matters.

Perhaps being upside down in space is normal, since there's no concept of up, down, left, and right here, but Wally felt nauseous upon seeing that white-scaled monster.

Not just because of its bizarre appearance, but due to its terrifying strength, the nausea also stemmed from excessive tension.

Crush seemed quite at ease; she didn't need a space suit. Her inherited abilities allowed her to survive in space.

However, if not for Deathstroke taking them into space this time, it's unclear when the Teen Titans would ever undertake a cosmic level mission.

So, upon hearing Wally's words, she immediately began taunting Lightning Boy, the gist being not many people live to see Earth's destruction, and now that you're seeing it, why not cherish it?

Of course, her original words were refined and toned down, with approximately seventy percent of the vocabulary needing censorship.

Many say her father Violent Wolf is the universe's top mercenary, but now, this parallel world's Deathstroke seems even stronger.

Casually ready to destroy a planet and dimension, though she still doesn't quite understand what a dimension is, seeing everyone else's serious faces makes it clear it isn't simple.

Violent Wolf took years to kill the people on his home planet, purely relying on fists and primitive weapons—why didn't he think of a plan like pushing a satellite?

Just let a satellite impact the planet, and the population would merely be numbers.

"Enough, stop quarreling. Haven't you ever thought why Deathstroke, who could accomplish all this alone, brought us to observe?" Damian folded his arms, standing steadily at the front of the group, gazing at the distant earthy yellow ball.

It seemed like a carved wooden toy, perhaps comparable in size to a pearl, appearing as if it could be easily grasped or might fall to the ground the next second.

"He's teaching us something, but I don't know why." Billy Wu's uniform featured a built-in mask, making his alien uniform the best space suit—not only wide in view but lacking any stench: "Perhaps because of Green Arrow, he plans to teach Himeko dark arts?"

The archer girl didn't seem to agree, speaking lightly: "Have you ever seen him talk to me? I'm pretty much like air to him."

Billy Wu forced a smile, shook his head, his chubby fingers stroking his belly: "Alright, according to you, except for Damian, we're all like air."

The posing Damian in front felt a thump in his heart; have they noticed? Indeed, it's hard to conceal when the team includes two smart individuals.

Himeko and Billy seemed to be engaging in a casual conversation, but they were actually probing at the DNA report's conclusions.

And even if he doesn't say anything, they probably already guessed most of it; it's just confirming suspicions now.

So Damian's solution was: "..."

Right, silent, pretending not to hear—it's his personal matter, unrelated to others.

Himeko and Billy exchanged glances, Blue Fatty raised his eyebrows, and the girl rolled her eyes, leaving unknown what they communicated.

Compared to them, the Shadow Contract Team gathered around Bo Bo, pestering the Gorillas for lessons; they were quite interested in the operations of destroying Earth and dimensions.

Of course, the Shadow Contract members aren't magicians or mentally ill; aside from Blue Demon who is a traditional good person, others prioritized understanding magic's real mysteries over world peace.

The Gorilla was bombarded with questions, sweating profusely—not because he didn't want to answer, the key was he didn't know either.

But the rest of the Shadow Contract members didn't believe him; they had seen Bo Bo and Deathstroke privately exchanging words, claiming ignorance just seemed like fooling kids.

Black Alice copied Giant Spirit's magic, manifesting a pile of feathers inside Bo Bo's spacesuit, brushing over every facial feature like a wall paint.

In the cosmos, this was truly a form of torture.

"He he... are you going to speak?" Laurie laughed like a villain, controlling the feathers to twist into Bo Bo's nostrils, watching his struggle within the suit's visor.

"Peh, I don't know, go ask him! Peh." Bo Bo desperately tried spitting out feathers, yet the feathers drilling into his ears left him limp.

"Alright, you're still spitting at us, scratch him to death, Laurie." Night Shadow cheerfully added fuel to the fire.

Not far behind them, the Humiliation Squad seemed the quietest; aside from Divine Child, none of them moved.

"They haven't said anything serious, just some nonsense and meaningless chatter." Divine Child reported to Charise, wearing a space suit and holding an umbrella in the cosmos—who knows what was on his mind.

"Keep monitoring, I had you hack all communication systems not for hearing what to eat tonight; I need more information on dimensions and worlds."

Fallen Knight softly emphasized her orders, then glanced at the outliers Harley and Ivy, adding:

"Dr. Quizer's conversations need no eavesdropping; it's obvious to everyone she's not the person she used to be, thinking excessively now."

In reality, the ignored Harley was currently bored, explaining her perception of the cosmos to Ivy. She not only explained the differences between planes and dimensions but also talked about the Multiverse, Super Universe, All-Powerful Universe, Fourth Wall, and more.

If anyone wasn't confused from the start, it was Harley.

It's a shame that sometimes being too clear-headed leads to being considered a lunatic. Just by watching Poison Ivy casually nodding occasionally, it was apparent she didn't truly believe Harley's words.

Yet Harley was indifferent. She merely wanted to chat; whether Little Red listened or not was another matter....

While several teams were each engrossed in their own tasks, Su Ming, floating in lunar orbit, finally showed signs of activity.

His figure was insignificant to the Moon, but when ten Lantern Rings manifested a gigantic hand, it was hard for everyone not to notice his existence.

The massive hand, colorful like a rainbow, dwarfed the Moon, which appeared as a tiny silver walnut by comparison.

Manifesting the huge hand wasn't the end. Purple Magic Radiance flew from every edge of the cosmos towards the hand to enchant it.

Visible Magic Threads reshaped every inch of energy as though converting it into substance.

Although the hand showed no outward change, everyone present could sense that something had ultimately altered there.

It was a feeling rising from deep within, hard to accurately describe yet transcending human imagination, for the magic of the Inverted Man's level was exceedingly high.

An unspeakable fear swept over everyone.

However, this terrifying feeling quickly vanished as the all-encompassing hand, under Deathstroke's control, formed an OK gesture, then violently trembled as if harnessing power.

Suddenly, the finger encircled by the thumb snapped forward, striking the Moon.

Originally drifting there serenely and emitting a faint silver glow, the Moon, Earth's satellite and the origin of countless beautiful stories.

Upon being struck by the finger, amidst a fierce spatial tremor, it vanished instantly from its place, while the not-so-distant tan Earth immediately exploded like fireworks.

The magma resembled red flowers, and the shattered ground cast shadows in intense light. Before the impact wave had dispersed, it froze solid in the vacuum.

The blinding light seemed like a second sun born, yet it lasted briefly, merely sweeping over where everyone stood, leaving space filled only with floating dust.

Earth was gone, shattered like a marble, just like that.

Witnessing such a scene, even the usually composed Charise took a deep breath. Although she knew many could destroy planets, seeing Deathstroke act so effortlessly, like playing a game, sent shivers down her spine.

Why say Deathstroke was playing a game? Because before taking action, he opened full-channel communication, and before the light burst, everyone heard him casually saying frivolous words:

"Bounce bounce bounce, bounce away the snot ball."

However, now wasn't the time for reflection. As Deathstroke had previously mentioned, with the extinction of the last creatures of the Third Dimension, this dimension as a whole began to collapse.

Without the Green of All Things, now without the Red of All Beings, with Papetua still asleep, this dimension lost all support.

It was like being dragged from a three-dimensional pattern into a plane, the entire dark cosmos starting to fracture like glass, collapsing downward into the Endless Void.

And this collapse of dimension reduction accelerated, as if someone below was tugging it with a rope, pulling the entire dimension into a deep abyss.

They needed to leave quickly, as the scene before them would likely be something they'd only witness once in a lifetime.

Deathstroke flew back to the group, swiftly opening a Teleportation Gate to lead everyone away, once again returning to the Eternal Rock of the Fourth Dimension.

"I need some alone time, to savor the dramatic silence following the dimension's destruction. Don't disturb me."

With those words, he quickly raced out of the stone hall, found a small room, and locked himself inside.

It felt as if black lines descended over everyone's heads; how perverse was it to relish after destroying a dimension?

Except for Harley, she was delighted, and she mimicked the idea, saying she would find a room to brainstorm new jokes for her circus act.

Little did anyone know, just as Su Ming entered the small room and shut the door, he immediately spat out blood.

To drive that giant hand, all Lantern Ring energy was depleted, leaving him feeling completely hollowed out, with his soul trembling.

During that time, he allowed the massive magic from the Inverted Man to plow through his body and soul, worsening his condition, compounded by previous battles with the Hell Bat, further adding insult to injury.

Destroying a dimension is no easy task; only the Supreme Mage knows how much work the Inverted Man performed in secret.

As it stands, he estimated that even with the Strangulation Gang's assistance, he would need quite some time to recover.

Being locked away wasn't for experiencing any dramatic silence, but for fear that he couldn't control his bloodthirsty desires, and would eat everyone present.

Looks like he'll need to approach Dr. Erskine to discuss improving the Miracle Serum, as calming and cultivating oneself has some effect in suppressing bloodthirstiness but isn't consistently reliable; it's currently too dangerous.

As Su Ming thought about it, he struggled to crawl to the corner, leaning back against the cold wall, and the urge within him slightly calmed.

Strangulation pulled out a cigarette from his belt for him, placed it in his mouth, yet he lacked the strength to light it himself, as there was some energy left in his body but it wasn't very responsive.

He gritted his teeth and closed his eyes, the blood-red world before him turning to darkness.
