"In the name of Ice Excorion, freeze!"
Jibo, sweating profusely, cast his magic, his fingers trembling violently with fear. In just a few seconds, he had to admit that although the new Supreme Mage didn't know any magic, he was even more terrifying than The Ancient One.
Space Magic was ineffective. Deathstroke could inexplicably escape from the Mirror Space, and the other two people he brought along couldn't be trapped either. Jibo could only confirm that the Evil Spirit Knight bypassed through Hell to exit the Mirror Space, but as for how the white-haired girl and Deathstroke jumped out, he couldn't understand at all.
As for Time Magic, there was even less to say. Deathstroke held the Time Gem, and within this Monistic Universe, time was merely a variable he could freely manipulate.
Other various controlling or attacking magic were also useless against Deathstroke. He didn't even bother to dodge, leisurely floating with a consistent speed, crossing his arms as he slowly flew towards Jibo amidst various attacks.
He didn't need a Counter Curse or to dodge. Various magic were either lightly brushed off by the Magic Floating Cloak or annihilated upon hitting the black and yellow armor.
Deathstroke remained unscathed, and the red single eye on his mask seemed to glow brighter as the distance closed.
Excorion's Frost Grip is a magic that slows targets by reducing temperature. If the price paid is high enough, this magic could even freeze the target's time.
But as before, Deathstroke didn't even glance at the blue ray, letting it hit him without any signs of slowing, remaining calm as he approached Jibo.
The other two didn't even have the intention to make a move, merely dealing with the dwindling Warlock troops from a short distance away.
"Where did The Ancient One find such a monster? How could this Mage nightmare become the Supreme Mage?! That damned woman! Ah!!!" Jibo cursed through gritted teeth, releasing another Flame Magic, seemingly trying to use the temperature difference between hot and cold to affect Deathstroke's armor.
However, the huge fireball was lifted by a small angle of the Magic Floating Cloak and snapped to the distance, exploding into a large pit full of flames.
"Is this all you've learned in the Alternate Dimension? Didn't Master Kalu teach you any real skills?" Deathstroke's hoarse voice echoed on the battlefield, with his tone indiscernible amidst the surrounding ice and flames.
Jibo retreated while trying to draw circles to release Teleportation Magic, only to have his arm shot by Deathstroke, causing it to hang limply.
How could he let him escape? Just because he hasn't interrupted the casting doesn't mean he couldn't. Divine Gold Gauss, care to know about it?
"Hiss!" Jibo clutched his injured arm, a flash of pain crossing his face, but he immediately cast a Dark Magic to replenish the lost flesh: "You understand nothing. The Ancient One is the most insidious traitor. It was she who betrayed Master Kalu."
Su Ming indifferently continued floating towards him, displaying his full momentum, inducing Jibo to keep casting: "The little affair between the two, I know it as well, I just want to say Master Gu Yi did right, haha, don't like it, bite me? Oh, you can't."
In truth, if one were serious, what Jibo said wasn't wrong either.
The Ancient One and Kalu were villagers from a small Himalayan village called Kama Taiji hundreds of years ago. Needless to say, the geographical location ensured its poverty-stricken status.
At that time, The Ancient One was a farmer, while Kalu was a hunter, and they were good friends. Not only were they neighbors, but they also ate together.
Daily meals consisted of The Ancient One's crops and exchanged grains; when Kalu made a catch, they could even have some meat to improve their lifestyle, making it bearable.
Until one day, Kalu discovered a glowing statue while hunting. This statue seemed to bestow her with an immense amount of magic instantaneously, making her a powerful Black Mage overnight.
Just by making an oath and having some unknown conversations, she could gain godlike power. What a delight!
Of course, Kalu didn't forget her good friend and brought The Ancient One to the statue, which similarly granted The Ancient One powerful magical abilities, also Dark Magic.
But The Ancient One was more observant, noticing something wrong with the statue. How could such gratuitous power just fall into one's lap? Where did it come from?
Even among the same village, to eat the rice and flour grown by another required exchanging one's own crops. This godlike power was given for free by an unknown statue. It seemed fishy.
However, Kalu, being more thick-skinned, had no such suspicions. Upon seeing her friend learning magic too, she destroyed the statue. Power and truth, after all, were best in the hands of a few.
They both gained infinite life and could stay together forever. As for The Ancient One's doubts, Kalu dismissed them.
Simply chalked it up to good luck and shrugged off any deeper concerns.
Thus, over the next hundred years, they developed Kama Taiji, using magic to eliminate illness and misfortune from the village, gradually turning it into what it is today.
However, as everything developed, they began to differ in their views on magic usage. The Ancient One wanted to use her power to help others and protect the world.
Meanwhile, Kalu felt it was meaningless to protect the world. Their future should be in the stars and seas. They were destined to conquer every Multiverse. Why concern themselves with the survival of just one Earth?
In the past century, Kalu had become heavily addicted to the casting ability, excessively relying on Dark Magic. There's always a voice in the void urging her to do certain things, leading her actions to become increasingly extreme and dark.
The Ancient One noticed the same risk of corruption within herself, so she developed a spell like Star Realm Projection, allowing her soul to escape her body and seek solutions in the vast cosmos.
Perhaps due to luck, or perhaps due to purposeful intentions, she 'incidentally' found Emperor Vishanti. This relatively mild group of ancient gods intervened in the magic contract between her and the Great Demon Shadow, turning the Ancient One into their representative on Earth.
Among Emperor Vishanti, there were two who originated from Earth, and their stance towards Earth was similar to that of the Ancient One, so both sides were very satisfied.
However, upon returning to Kama Taiji, intending to have Emperor Vishanti save her friend as well, Kalu had already gone completely mad.
All life within several thousand kilometers of Kama Taiji had been sacrificed by Kalu to the Great Demon Shadow, and through some ritual, she was summoning it to descend, in exchange for even greater power.
Sithorn had been chased across countless cosmoses by the God Eater Atom, but if someone on Earth were to summon him, not only could he escape instantly, but he could also drain this planet directly amidst Earth's defenselessness, converting it into his strength.
The Ancient One, having no other choice, had to battle her friend to prevent her actions.
The situation turned into the Ancient One and Emperor Vishanti versus Kalu and Sithorn, resulting in a cataclysmic, mutually destructive conflict.
Although Emperor Vishanti greatly outweighed Sithorn, being three against one, at that time, the Ancient One hadn't trained in the Multiverse, didn't possess the Time Gem, and had only recently been exposed to White Magic, making her no match for Kalu, unable to unleash the full power of the gods behind her.
However, after all, she was the Ancient One. At a critical moment, she realized the principle that 'Power is Power, regardless of black or white.' Thus, she sacrificed her eternal life and power gained from Sithorn, summoning the Crimson Tyrant Setorak, to team up with Emperor Vishanti to defeat Kalu and Sithorn.
The defeated fell into the crack in reality created by the battle, ending this Earth crisis.
The Ancient One lost immortality; although aging slowly, her death was destined from that point on. Similarly, she lost all the superhuman abilities, becoming a mage purely reliant on knowledge and wisdom.
But such is the cost, a tragedy that magic users find difficult to avoid. She accepted it, hence started retraining herself, enhancing her abilities through adventures in other universes, eventually gradually becoming a truly top-tier force.
Kalu, having fallen into a rift in reality, drifted to the Alternate Dimension. Sithorn was once again entangled by Atom, unable to deal with her, allowing her to gradually recover her Primordial Qi and become the Supreme Mage of another dimension, useful to Sithorn again.
Her reasoning returned to normal, or perhaps a hatred for the Ancient One overshadowed other madness. From then on, her dimension stood against the Ancient One, now it has been hundreds of years.
Jibo knew about this matter, thought he grasped some truth, perhaps believing one-sided words from Kalu, or perhaps being dazzled by Sithorn's power.
Anyway, after betraying Kama Taiji last time, he hasn't been idle recently, working tirelessly to overthrow the Main Dimension.
However, the Supreme Mage now is Deathstroke, Su Ming and he have no master-apprentice ties. Last time he wasn't killed because the Ancient One was present, Su Ming couldn't gauge the Ancient One's stance then, so he let him go.
Now things are different, with Kama Taiji in charge, Jibo arrived at the Main Dimension to cause trouble, directly it's best to offer a top-grade package.
Many people from DC know that Otherworldly Deathstroke's services come in levels, from euthanasia, miserable death, to absolute death.
Su Ming is now attempting to let Jibo draw the lottery, to die in a quantum manner, that is, being dragged to death by casting costs, before the demon gods rush to collect the debts, no one knows what his death would look like.
Will all his internal organs disappear, turning him into something like a mummy? Or will he be compressed into flesh pulp, with his bone marrow sucked away? Or maybe be dragged into an unnameable world, rendering his thoughts incommunicable?
But certainly, it's of the absolute death category.
Debts owed to demon gods are tough, and trying to fool them certainly reaps backlash, sooner or later.
So the saying goes again, magic is good, but don't overindulge.
Nowadays, Su Ming unleashed his full aura, facing Jibo with a crushing demeanor, essentially intoxicating him with fake liquor, encouraging him to cast spells regardless of the cost, thus playing himself to death.
Jibo may be physically immune, and Deathstroke can't kill him. He may repair his flesh, in a way super healing, various magic can counter conventional tactics.
But as long as he uses magic, he can't avoid the demon gods' interference.
This is Su Ming's strategy: not taking action himself, only exerting mental pressure, letting Jibo indirectly commit suicide.
In fact, if little cousin were here, he would be more suitable for the job. Probably just half a face would be enough.
However, whenever he thought of Wade's 'body fragrance' like Ganges River water, Su Ming decided to personally step in with reluctance.
