Unfortunately, a bunker is still just a bunker, not some office building. Although Su Ming found everyone's bedrooms and offices upstairs, there was no useful intelligence at all.
Not to mention any way to contact the Lady Nine-Heads. Jibo should have recorded everything in his mind. And his internal organs, brain, even his soul, who knows which Demon God took them away. Su Ming doesn't need to use the Time Gem for a little bit of information.
So, it's better to check the progress on Howard's side, maybe he and Zola can find some clues, especially Zola, whose specialty is memory digitalization, might have made progress by now.
"Let's go, there's nothing useful here, although I did find a secret chamber, it's filled with Jibo's personal interest collection," Su Ming returned to Palham's side and shook his head at him.
"Interest collection?" The Evil Spirit Knight was somewhat confused.
"Ah, that guy clearly has a problem with his brain. He likes to collect various moths, and that secret chamber is like a miniature moth museum, but such creatures are clearly useless to us."
Su Ming patted himself off. The scene in that secret chamber was enough to trigger anyone's trypophobia immediately. Just the sight of the cocoons piled in baskets, wriggling and hatching, was disgusting, let alone the sheer number, with moths covering the walls and ceiling.
Collecting specimens, normal; collecting a massive amount of live moths, absolutely insane. Even so, he seriously searched the secret chamber, found nothing, and came out only to feel uncomfortable with the scales powder on him.
It's really just psychological, after all, there's still Strangulation, but many people have a dislike for things that can fly and are furry, like bats.
"Moths, huh?" Palham shrugged and adjusted his cowboy hat.
"What do you mean by 'moths, huh'?" Su Ming sensed something odd in Palham's tone.
The former soldier petted his black horse, using his one arm to groom the fur on its neck:
"Some people like moths because they appreciate the ugly emergence from the cocoon. Others, they like the cruel nature of moths drawn to flames. A friend once told me that the Moth God in Voodoo represents transformation and rebirth. Which type do you think that mage was?"
Su Ming chuckled and shook his head, watching Ciri play with the tank not far away:
"Him? I guess he likes the act of raising moths itself. He enjoys being different. He was the first traitor in Kama Taiji for eight hundred years; you can tell how much he loved being unique."
"It seems the power of magic made him feel superior, yet he wanted to be even more different from other mages." Palham could probably understand the desire to be different; he had participated in wars, where everyone looked the same on the battlefield, all just parts or pawns.
Some people's personalities are like that, to show off, even at great risk, like the Red Baron of the German Air Force, an all-red plane paint job that stood out uniquely on the battlefield.
So even if he flew excellently, he still died in the end.
"He has fulfilled his wish, I helped him." Su Ming waved to Ciri, signaling her to stop playing: "The way he died was unlike anyone else's, a unique case."
Palham forced a smile to cope with Deathstroke's dark humor, then he activated his ability. Amidst menacing expressions, both he and the horse were enveloped in flames.
He must have guessed that Deathstroke planned to destroy this place, and when it comes to demolishing structures, Hellfire is the top choice.
"Sigh, can we take this tank with us? I haven't figured it out yet." Ciri walked over, looking back repeatedly, clearly interested in the tank.
She's certainly played with Wilson Enterprises' Iron Wall Tank, but compared to German military products, it's like a tractor from the farm.
Originally, Su Ming planned to burn this hill into glass and then everyone would leave using the Magic Floating Cloak.
But if Ciri wants to play with the tank, she'll take it back for her enjoyment.
Su Ming patted her head and instructed her to drive the tank over, then waited for the Evil Spirit Knight to burn the mountain's interior bunker with his Strange Gun until it glowed like a coal kiln, regrouping the three.
Then you only see him clearing his throat, lifting his head: "Heimdall?"
........
"Hey, someone is calling you." Thor elbowed Heimdall, holding a watermelon in one hand and a hamburger in the other.
Originally, several people planned to go to Loki's palace for a gathering; he had it well arranged, with great scenery.
But Sif wanted her brother to try the watermelon too, and after talking with Thor, Thor felt there was no problem, bringing so much food this time, having a good relationship with Heimdall, so sharing some with him.
So when they returned to the Immortal Palace, they simply sat in the observatory to dine.
The Rainbow Bridge usually sees no use, and Heimdall here stays pretty occupied, Odin has gone to sleep, so who can oversee a feast here?
Heimdall was originally not eating, but Thor and Loki kept persuading him, the Three Warriors repeatedly provoked him with words, and even Sif insisted he try a hotdog.
Having no other choice, Heimdall had to surrender to the inevitable.
After eating the hotdog, he wanted to try a hamburger, feeling dry, so he drank either a Powerful Beverage or low-alcohol wine.
There's no rule against drinking during shifts at the Immortal Palace, everyone here loves alcohol, and once a group starts drinking, it naturally goes on forever.
For some reason, as he ate these things, Heimdall seemed to gradually forget his burdens. Looking at Thor and the young men's natural smiles, he felt extremely relaxed.
Until that demon-like whisper echoed in his ears again.
He could only sigh, put down the bottle in his hand, and used the Great Sword to operate the Rainbow Bridge, reluctantly bringing Deathstroke and his group back to the Immortal Palace.
This time, not only did the people arrive, but Deathstroke also brought along a super large iron box.
"Oh? Eating?" Su Ming saw Thor and the others and wasn't surprised, smilingly nodding in greeting before casually continuing to speak to Heimdall: "Send the tank to my house, and the three of us to the SSR Caspian Camp perimeter."
Thor also smiled and nodded at Su Ming, then lowered his head to continue dealing with his hamburger.
The Three Warriors exchanged puzzled looks. Are these Midgard People? But why do they look so at home in the Immortal Palace? When did Thor meet such people? A whole bunch of questions couldn't be answered.
However, since the prince didn't say anything, they continued eating and drinking.
Only Loki's expression was uncertain; he remembered this person. Last time, he took the helmet used as evidence, causing Loki to be grounded by Odin for several years.
But how did Thor know this person? It's suspicious, better not to stick your head out...
So he quickly put on a business smile and gracefully nodded to Su Ming and his group.
Heimdall helplessly closed his eyes; he didn't want Deathstroke and Thor to interact more. The crown prince is a bit reckless; if tricked by this Supreme Mage, he might fall into a pit and not be able to get out.
Thus, he swiftly operated the Giant Sword twice, immediately sending the people and the tank away. Seeing the place empty, he finally breathed a sigh of relief and raised his hand to wipe his sweat.
Loki's eyes turned, he looked down at the mustard-coated sausage in his hand, revealing a smile: "Thor, my brother, when did you meet the Midgard People? Do you know who he is?"
Thor, like a hamster, chewed on cabbage leaves and replied in a baffled manner: "Hm? I don't know him."
Loki's smile froze; he wanted to find out the person's identity from Thor and get revenge: "Then why did you smile and nod at him?"
"He smiled and asked if I was eating, so I naturally smiled and said 'yes,' with my mouth full, I could only nod." Thor swallowed the leaf and took a big gulp of alcohol to wash it down, letting the golden liquid slide down his beard, answering matter-of-factly.
Heimdall intervened in their conversation, solemnly warning Loki: "Don't provoke that person, and don't ask too much, or Odin might be very displeased."
Loki licked his lips, smilingly agreed, nobody knew what he thought: "So it's Odin's guest? I understand."
Thor nonchalantly stuffed a bottle of alcohol into Loki's arms, forcefully patting his shoulder: "Why dwell on that? Since the old man allows him in the Immortal Palace, he can't be an enemy. Come, drink!"
"Why is it me drinking again?" Loki feigned a face of helplessness; this was his way of freeloading.
He deliberately acted as if he didn't like the food and drink, and these fools would tease him by forcing him to eat and drink, so he didn't pay for anything but got to indulge alongside.
"Drink! Drink! Drink!" The Three Warriors immediately laughed heartily, patting their thighs in a public clamor, while Sif, though silent, still watched the bottle with a cheerful smile, the meaning clear.
"Alright, I'll drink, but don't think about making me drink more, it's disgusting." Loki reluctantly drank from the bottle, finishing it cleanly, then slammed it onto the ground.
"Good!"
The playful companions began to applaud again; they seemed very happy. Loki lowered his head, wiping his mouth corner, sneering inwardly...
..........
The view shifts back to the Deathstroke Squad. After arriving at the Caspian Camp perimeter, Palham expressed he wasn't going in, as officially, he had died in the Civil War.
Entering a spy den like SSR now would truly be asking for trouble.
Though being targeted by a bunch of agents wasn't exactly threatening, constant harassment was unendingly bothersome.
Ciri, upon hearing, also decided not to enter, because she might have been seen wandering around New York before, and she lived at Zhongsi Academy. Exposing Deathstroke's true identity because of her would not be worth it.
Despite her curiosity about SSR, wanting to see which was better compared to Spider Web, she sensibly opted out.
Su Ming thought for a bit, straightforwardly gave Ciri a stack of money, sending her and Palham to Los Angeles for a bath. The Warlock Assault Team and Jibo were settled, Hellfire Club issues understood; it was best for him to act alone next.
Thus, he alone, like a familiar guest visiting, ignored the army perimeter and SSR security, swaggered into the underground facility solo.
