Chapter 1089 - Chapter 1028: Shadow Tower

"Don't look at me like that, as if you're preparing to die heroically. Through your experiment, I have roughly determined what day it is; I must say, meeting me has truly been your good fortune."

Su Ming lifted Kadaga from the ground like he was lifting a cat, leaning him against the nearby bookshelf. He turned around and plucked two weapons from the cooking area, putting away the Giant Sword and only holding the Godslayer staff-shaped.

Kadaga felt a little suspicious; the other party not only showed no signs of murderous intent but wasn't even on guard against him.

"Do you know what's going on?"

Su Ming casually rested the Magic Staff on his shoulder like a stick, placing both hands on it, and nodded quite relaxedly: "Yes, but if you're not willing to discuss terms with me, I won't tell you these secrets. The result isn't too serious anyway; it's just the destruction of the Stormwind Kingdom. You can continue your studies in Dalaran."

"How can it be like this? I'll agree to your terms. Sir Lothar and King Laine have looked after me like elders, so how can I ignore this?" Kadaga discarded the candlestick, as the weapon in the other's hand was already emitting a strong light, no other illumination was needed.

Deathstroke merely wanted him to swear to owe a few favors; as an insignificant apprentice, he agreed.

"Hmm, not bad, sign this written agreement. If someday you don't plan to fulfill the contract, I'll spread the word that you're an untrustworthy person, and your reputation will be ruined."

Su Ming immediately took out paper and pen, drafted the contract, and pointed to the place for Kadaga to sign.

Kadaga took the pen indifferently and signed, saying: "What reputation? Right now, fewer than ten people even remember my name."

The Supreme Mage patted his shoulder, stowed away the contract, and bought Wilson's pot; he got his own now, "Prophecy isn't exclusive to Star Realm Mages. As a Supreme Mage, I can accomplish it too. Come on, let's go to the Astrology Platform; I'll tell you what Medivh has been busy with recently."

In the spiral upward corridor, the two gradually disappeared into the Darkness.

Three minutes later, they reached the Astrology Platform at the top of Karazhan Tower, and Kadaga's face had turned ashen.

"Are you sure the things you said are true? If they are, we're in big trouble."

"I wouldn't lie to an apprentice like you. The Burning Legion has been planning the invasion of Azeroth for a long time, and the plan has already been initiated, Medivh isn't at Karazhan; it's clear he's gone to prepare the final step."

Su Ming wandered in the Astrology Platform; several tiles with Crow patterns caught his attention.

Kadaga furrowed his brows in thought, gripping the hem of his pajamas tightly: "No, I have to inform Sir Lothar, Stormwind City must be prepared."

"Sure, go ahead, just remember you've already owed five favors."

Su Ming waved his hand indifferently; whether the Dark Gate is opened doesn't affect him much.

As soon as the Beastmen invade Azeroth, the Stormwind Kingdom will immediately plunge into chaos. At that time, tailoring products like bags or clothes will likely plummet in price; I can exchange grains for them, saving a lot of Gold.

Then exchange for more, give each close person a few silk bags, see if they can use them.

Does the destruction of Stormwind for some bags cause heartache? Hehe... the old must go for the new to come.

Changing history now has no benefit; taking advantage of the situation to gain some cheap favors is better. Azeroth is a familiar world, and my biggest advantage is foresight; I can't discard it so soon.

Kadaga's eyes turned as he was channeling Teleportation himself, halting the spell: "By the way, didn't you say you were strong?"

"Yes, from my perspective, you're no different from Medivh, both belong to the harmless Level 1 category." Su Ming rubbed his shoe sole on the Crow pattern on the tiles, as if the Crow's eyes could move.

"If I want you to help resolve the crisis, how many favors would I owe?" Kadaga discovered a blind spot.

"It's too late now, after all, Medivh's location is currently uncertain. There are three possibilities: First, he went to Tirisfal Glades to kill other members of the Council. Second, he might have gone deep into the Sad Swamp, preparing to open the Teleportation Gate to welcome his Green Hide allies. Third, he's inside the Shadow Tower, preparing to kill all of Karazhan's servants and residents, sacrifice and summon the Burning Legion."

Su Ming didn't accept this job; instead, he analyzed for Kadaga.

"Shadow Tower? What's that?" Kadaga furrowed his brows. Is this why Karazhan has all defenses shut and people disappeared?

"Shadow Tower was secretly built by Medivh, located in Karazhan's Twisted Void fissure underground, named after its reflection of Karazhan's Void realm." Su Ming tapped on the three floor tiles and called Kadaga over: "Medivh transformed it into a Demon relay coordinate, allowing him to quickly teleport the Burning Legion warships here, then use the connection between Shadow Tower and Karazhan to project those ships into the Main Dimension."

"...Looks like you are indeed a Mage; your words are over my head." Kadaga heard a heap of incomprehensible terms; his eyes were about to turn into spiral patterns.

"Whether you understand or not, what do you plan to do next?" Su Ming asked indifferently.

"If the Burning Legion's fleet arrives, isn't that the worst-case scenario of the three options?" Kadaga directly identified the crux of the problem.

Even if the Tirisfal Council gets wiped out, it's just 12 Great Mages dead; the world would still function normally without them.

As for the so-called Beastmen, Kadaga hasn't seen them, but he heard from the Half-orc Assassin Garona before; they are a clan-based society, such a race threat should be limited.

However, the Burning Legion, bearing titles like Destroyer of Worlds and Annihilator of All, they are undoubtedly the most dangerous.

Now that Medivh might wish to summon their fleet in Shadow Tower, Kadaga must verify Deathstroke's words personally. If true, he must interrupt such a demon ritual, no time to call for help.

"The Burning Legion is truly the most destructive in this list; ten thousand years ago, Queen Azshara summoned them, causing Azeroth, which was once a whole continent, to fracture into what it is today. Although the Eternal Well explosion is the cause, the Burning Legion is the culprit."

"I understand, please help me."

Kadaga took a deep breath, his gaze firmed up.

"You'll probably have to follow my orders in the future; this is a very big cost." Su Ming laughed, touching his chin, and took out a cigarette to light, puffing a smoke ring softly.

"I've already made up my mind; I want to protect Azeroth." Kadaga nodded decisively: "No matter the cost."

Su Ming looked at the young Kadaga, kindly nodded his head, yet was merciless in words: "You can't even protect yourself now, talking about protecting Azeroth? Better to go back to sleep; everything is possible in your Dream."

"I will strive to enhance my strength and will eventually become a Great Mage. If you truly can see the Future, it's because of this that you find me?" Kadaga calmly understood his worth.

"Heh, you're not entirely hopeless then, from today onward call me Teacher; you'll be my disciple, Supreme Mage Deathstroke. I'll teach you the true essence of Magic."

Deathstroke's black-yellow armored glove rested on Kadaga's frail shoulder; at this time, the apprentice seemed to suffer from malnutrition.

Kadaga deliberated for a moment, his subtle expression constantly changing, but eventually, he raised his head: "Teacher, please help me protect Azeroth."

Su Ming smiled slightly, Kadaga joining hands was the greatest gain from this journey, plans successful...
