Chapter 43 - chapter 41: back home yay!

After returning back to Terra, Agnes Tachyon went towards the Emperor's throne room alone.

"Ah, Agnes. What do I owe the pleasure of you being here?" the Emperor said.

"Bring me back! Back to my world so I can be with Daiwa and Nimi once again. I have done what I can helping the Imperium, and you promised me to heal my legs!" she said, looking straight at the Emperor.

"Ok," he said.

"Ok? Wait... You want something. Tell me," she said, looking at the Emperor suspiciously.

"Oh, well. I just need help with the Webway I am building," he said smoothly.

"Oh, that's it? I will be done before lunch," she scoffed.

Without wasting another second, she immediately got back to work. Stepping up to the Golden Throne, she began attaching a haphazard web of cables, loose wires, assorted magic items, salvaged Old One technology, and stolen Eldar technology.

Ten minutes later...

"Alright, this should do it," she said, clicking the final cable into place.

Instantly, the Imperium Webway roared to life, opening in a brilliant golden hue of light.

"Oh, you're done? Good. And as promised, your legs will be healed and I am sending you back with your favourite daughter," the Emperor said.

Rising his hand, a blinding golden light engulfed her. As the light disappeared, a translucent blue system window appeared in her vision:

[ Leg Condition: Partially Healed ]

[ Mission Completed: Reward (Manhattan Cafe) Given ]

A bright flash of light appeared next to Agnes, and Cafe materialized out of thin air.

"..."

Cafe stood there holding a cup of hot coffee, staring blankly at Agnes, then slowly shifting her gaze up to the golden, ten-foot-tall man towering over them.

"Tachyon... What did you do?" Cafe asked quietly.

"Oh, Cafe~! I missed you, Cafe~!" Agnes squealed, throwing her arms around her and hugging Cafe tightly.

"Eh!? Tachyon! You're hugging me too strong!" Cafe gasped.

"Oh, Cafe~ We are going to have so much fun, Cafe~" Agnes Tachyon beamed with pure joy.

Before Cafe could reply, a glowing portal opened directly below them, sending both of them tumbling down into the void.

Back in the throne room, Malcador watched the portal snap shut.

"So, Big E... Who will tell the... Thunder Warriors and... Uma Marines about their mother's disappearance?" Malcador asked.

"Don't worry, Agnes will return. She made a relay in her lab. With it online, she can travel back here anytime," the Emperor said dismissively.

"Ok then..." Malcador raised a hand, his psychic energy flaring. "I cast Testicular Torsion!"

"Owww! I cast Balls of Steel!" the Emperor countered instantly.

"Ohhh!!! My balls weigh a ton, you smug jizz mop!" Malcador yelled, collapsing onto the marble floor, completely unable to move under the sheer weight.

"This is your fault, Malcador..." the Emperor muttered, a single tear falling from his eye.

Meanwhile, with Daiwa and Nimi, still over in the Azur Lane dimension...

"Ok, I will admit the food is amazing," Daiwa said, strolling down the dock alongside Nimi.

"Yes, quite delicious," Nimi agreed.

"I think I am going to buy those yummy biscuits those Royal Navy girls have."

"Same," Nimi nodded.

Just as they were about to reach their destination, a massive spatial portal opened directly beneath their feet.

"...This feels familiar," Nimi sighed.

Before she could process it, her, Daiwa, and the two stowaways still hiding inside Daiwa's ship all fell straight through the rift.

THUD!

"I have been falling for thirty minutes!" Nimi yelled, scrambling up off the floor only to look up and see Agnes standing over her, holding a fly swatter.

"Late, late, late!" Agnes shouted, swinging the swatter down. SMACK!

"Ow! Ow! Ow! My face!" Nimi shrieked, clutching her cheeks.

A few feet away, Daiwa sat calmly on a folding chair, casually eating a carrot.

"Daiwa, help me!!!" Nimi pleaded.

Daiwa simply looked away and took another crunch of her carrot.

Meanwhile, in another section of the lab...

"I need adequate data from the time you were gone," Mecha Sonic Mk II said, his glowing optic scanning the area.

"Understood," Sage replied, turning to walk away.

A massive Space Marine in full power armor squinted at a holo-picture Sage was carrying. It showed Agnes surrounded by a squad of towering, heavily armored Uma Marines.

"So you're saying that all of these are Agnes's children?" the Space Marine asked, visibly unsettled.

"Yes," Sage confirmed plainly.

Over on the main deck, the commotion continued.

"Cafe~ I finally have you, Cafe~!" Agnes purred, squeezing Cafe in another tight embrace.

"Eh... Tachyon, you're too close," Cafe muttered, trying to lean away.

"Nonsense, Cafe~!"

"Do you even know where we are?" Cafe asked, holding her coffee cup out of harm's way.

"Yes! We are at a landship with a group of doctors curing rock cancer!" Agnes said with a brilliant smile.

"Tachyon, you're too close," Cafe repeated, shoving Agnes's face back with her palm.

A short distance away, Nimi and Daiwa leaned against the wall, watching the bizarre display fold out.

"100 bucks says they are 'very good friends,'" Nimi whispered, rubbing her sore cheek.

"Right..." Daiwa deadpanned, giving Nimi a sharp, side-eye look.
