Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Legacy of Talent

My lab had never been this… alive.

Dozens of me moved at once.

Shadow clones filled the space—some hunched over ancient manuscripts, others experimenting with spell matrices, a few carefully dissecting magical specimens, and several more writing down theories faster than any normal mind could process.

The air itself felt crowded with thought.

And yet…

It still wasn't enough.

"More efficiency," I muttered, watching one of my clones finish a complex rune array. "Still too slow."

Even with dozens of parallel minds, there were simply too many fields to master.

Soul magic.Dark arts.Ancient magic.Bloodline fusion.Spell creation.

Each one alone could take a lifetime.

I intended to conquer them all.

Salazar, meanwhile, had thrown himself into his own obsession.

Breeding a basilisk.

And—of course—constructing his… "secret classroom."

I snorted slightly at the thought.

"Chamber of Secrets," I muttered. "Just call it that already."

Though, knowing him, he probably would eventually.

Unlike him, my focus had shifted—at least partially—toward something more… practical.

Students.

The future.

Hogwarts itself.

Because knowledge alone wasn't enough.

If we were building a school that would last centuries…

Then we needed a system.

That's where my latest creation came in.

I stood in the center of my lab, wand raised slightly, a faint smile on my lips.

"My finest work this week," I murmured.

A spell.

Not destructive.Not defensive.

But… revolutionary.

"Legacy."

The word felt right.

I flicked my wand, casting the spell on one of my clones.

Golden threads of magic spread across its body—soft, intricate, almost like ancient magic in structure, though far more controlled.

Lines formed.

Patterns emerged.

Information revealed itself to me instantly.

"Dark magic affinity… moderate." I murmured."Rune compatibility… high.""Elemental fire alignment… low."

I exhaled slowly.

"It works."

The spell analyzed magical potential.

Not just surface-level skill—but innate talent.

What someone was naturally good at.What they struggled with.Where their potential truly lay.

I dispelled the clone and leaned against my desk, thinking.

"This changes everything…"

Until now, teaching had been… inefficient.

Even for us.

We taught broadly—throwing knowledge at students and hoping they adapted. But that approach?

Wasteful.

With this…

I could tailor everything.

A student talented in charms?Push them toward precision magic.

One aligned with dark magic?Teach control before power consumes them.

One weak in most areas but strong in one?Refine that strength into something exceptional.

"No more wasted potential," I whispered.

This wasn't just a spell.

It was a foundation.

A system that could shape generations.

I began writing immediately—documenting the structure of the spell, refining its efficiency, ensuring it could be safely used on students without harming them.

I even started designing a classification system.

Talent tiers.Affinity types.Growth projections.

A quiet laugh escaped me.

"I've basically created magical profiling…"

Not that I minded.

If anything, it made things… easier.

Cleaner.

More controlled.

One of my clones approached, handing me another set of notes—this one related to soul stability.

Another followed with data on magical creature anatomy.

Another with experimental spell results.

I took them all without hesitation, absorbing the information instantly thanks to my enhanced mind.

So much progress.

So much knowledge.

But my attention kept drifting back…

To Legacy.

I raised my wand again, staring at it thoughtfully.

"This spell…" I murmured.

It wasn't flashy.

It wouldn't win duels.

It wouldn't destroy enemies.

But it would shape the future.

A slow smile spread across my face.

"Every great wizard… every powerful witch…"

All of them started somewhere.

"And now," I said softly, "I decide where that is."

Somewhere deep in the castle, students laughed, learned, struggled…

Unaware.

That their destinies—

Their strengths—

Their entire magical paths—

Were about to be seen…

And guided.

By me.
