The guild was completely decorated yesterday, with the scattered tables now arranged in rows, forming long banquet tables.
Clean tablecloths covered them, interspersed with flowers and candlesticks. The stair railings and upstairs railings were adorned with various decorations.
The light fixtures above were changed and replaced with strings of wave-like hanging lights.
The curtain on the small stage was drawn open, revealing a banner that said "Happy Wedding," with cute versions of Rhode and Mira's faces, clearly the handiwork of Lidas.
Everyone was dressed in relatively formal attire, exuding a cheerful atmosphere.
Rhode glanced around the guild and realized that Bisca was the only woman left.
Previously, Rhode and Mira had asked her if she wanted to join the bridesmaids, but Bisca said it was better to use unmarried women, so she stayed behind to babysit.
Additionally, as someone who has been through it, she's responsible for making sure these guys don't cause trouble.
Everyone came up to Rhode, saying things like 'Congratulatons,' 'Best wishes,' and some were patting him, saying 'Damn it,' 'So jealous.'
The most outrageous were Natsu and Gray, who each patted Rhode's shoulder and gave him a sympathetic look.
What a good guy, getting married to such a terrifying woman.
Rhode laughed helplessly, "It's not like you two don't have romantic interests; this day will come for you too."
"Not me," Natsu said nonchalantly.
Gray, on the other hand, 'tsk'ed, and his neatly-worn shirt disappeared in an instant, leaving only a bow tie.
Rhode hesitated to speak, unsure of what might happen with such a groomsman.
"Yo, Rhode." A handsome guy walked out of the crowd. "You're finally getting married."
"Loki, you really came," Rhode chuckled.
Loki laughed, "Of course, because I got the invitation forwarded by Lucy, I especially left a banquet to rush over."
"…" Rhode said helplessly, "That banquet isn't over yet?"
"Because after they left, two beautiful ladies arrived," Loki spoke of the Libra and Pisces Constellations, conveniently ignoring the son in Pisces.
No wonder people dislike him.
Natsu and Gray each placed an arm on Loki's shoulder, "You idiot, you dare mention the banquet? Give us our time back!"
The two got a little angry at the thought of all the trouble Rhode put them through after they returned, wanting to drag Loki out and give him a beating for enjoying the banquet after they left.
"Rhode." Makarov's voice came from upstairs.
Rhode looked up to see the president, also in a black suit today, standing on the railing smiling at him.
"President, you're here early too."
"Of course, firstly to congratulate you on your marriage, and secondly, there's a special guest today," Makarov gestured with a welcoming hand.
Everyone else seemed unknowing of who he was talking about and looked upstairs with curiosity.
A person slowly walked out from behind the president.
It was a 'little girl' not much taller than Makarov, in a light pink dress with ruffles, a red butterfly ribbon at the neckline, long pale yellow hair flowing behind her to her ankles, barefoot, with a pair of white wings on her ears.
With a joyful smile, she waved to everyone below, "Hello, everyone, I'm Mebius."
"First Generation?" Rhode exclaimed in surprise, "Mebius President?!"
"What?!" A burst of surprised voices erupted downstairs, "First Generation?!"
"Why?!"
"Wasn't the First Generation on Celestial Wolf Island..."
Mebius put a finger to her lips, waiting for everyone to quiet down before saying, "I'm currently in a ghost state, only those with the guild emblem can see me."
As if to prove it, she jumped from the second floor, landing softly, without making a sound.
Most were still in shock.
Mebius eagerly said, "I heard there's an interesting event today, is it about to start?"
She looked just like an ordinary little girl, clenching her fists to her chest, shaking them with anticipation.
Rhode suddenly realized his wedding was quite prestigious, even the First Generation came.
But...
Rhode quietly asked Mebius, "Didn't we invite you to the guild before, why did you decline then?"
Mebius looked a bit embarrassed, tapping her index fingers together in front of her as she shyly said, "Because I thought the deceased shouldn't casually interfere in your lives."
"Then..."
"It didn't seem like a big deal before, staying quietly on the island was nice. But ever since you guys made the island lively, being left alone felt so lonely." Mebius lowered her head, her mouth quivering, looking like she was about to cry.
'Oh no!' Makarov's face changed dramatically, giving Rhode frantic glances.
Rhode rushed into action, scooping up Asuka, "Asuka, look, this is our Fairy Tail's founder, the first president!"
"Wow~~~" Asuka looked up, "Sister, you must be an amazing person?"
"Of course!" Mebius, whose tears had just welled up, quickly vanished, patting herself proudly on the area that could rival Wendy's height, emphasizing in a mature tone, "I'm a very impressive adult!"
Asuka, ignorant as a child, "So amazing! You look so young yet so impressive!"
Mebius felt a little troubled, wondering if this adorable child was truly praising her.
Shaking her head, she continued to emphasize in Asuka's adoring gaze her impressive adult status.
The once-feared Fairy Tail Strategist, feared by enemy armies nearly 100 years ago, was now earnestly explaining to a child how she only looked young and was kept that way for special reasons, while insisting she really was impressive.
Makarov quietly gave Rhode a thumbs up, relieved the First Generation hadn't burst into tears.
Bisca, a bit panicked, bent over and racked her brains to reassure Asuka, expressing that her daughter absolutely meant no disrespect to the First Generation.
For now, Mebius became the center of attention, with those who hadn't been to Celestial Wolf Island coming up one by one to greet her.
Alzack patted Rhode on the back, "You should go prepare now, Fried is waiting in the dressing room."
"Um... okay." Rhode nodded, feeling somewhat strange.
Yes, Fried was not only one of the groomsmen but also his makeup artist for today.
"Also, you'd better take the time to eat something," Alzack advised from experience, "The schedule ahead is really tight, you might not have a chance to eat."
"Ah, thank you." Rhode had not thought of this, quickly went to the kitchen for some snacks, packed them, and called out, "Hapi!"
"Aye!" Hapi ran over with a small bow on his back, "I'm all ready."
Rhode handed the box to Hapi, "Not that, please take these snacks to Mira, tell her to eat quickly."
"Aye!" Hapi immediately flew off.
Rhode was looking forward to seeing how Mira looked after makeup, but it'd be a while.
He popped a snack into his mouth and headed for the dressing room.
There were two big shots guarding the entrance, first was Biguslo, without helmet and mask, which looked a bit unfamiliar.
As normal, he had his tongue with the guild emblem out, making noise with his puppets, "Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations..."
He alone was lifting the atmosphere.
Laxus, arms crossed, leaned against the wall, and smiled at Rhode, "Rare to see you nervous, congratulations."
"After some commotion, it's much better now," Rhode laughed, "Thanks."
