Everything was ready, and Rhode walked out of the changing room, feeling a bit anxious.
But as soon as he saw the situation in the guild, his nervousness vanished instantly.
Is this a luncheon venue? It's more like a tornado hit a parking lot!
The relaxed attitude of the people in the guild was unbelievable, even with so many guests present, they continued their fights as if nothing mattered.
They even dragged the guests into the fights.
During the time Rhode changed clothes and put on makeup, there were only three or five people left standing in the guild.
In theory, the oldest First Generation Guild President Mebius didn't seem troubled at all; in fact, she was sitting on the counter swinging her legs, looking quite pleased.
But Rhode felt complicated: "President..."
"Hmm?"
"What?"
Makarov and Mebius turned to look at Rhode together, their innocent expressions left him momentarily speechless.
Alzack, understanding Rhode's thoughts, said on his behalf, "With things in this state, what about the ceremony later?"
Mebius's smile froze: "Oh no, I forgot!"
Confirmed, this is definitely our Fairy Tail's guild president, pure and simple.
"No worries, we'll make it." Makarov glanced at the time, his body swelling, and his large hand clapped down, "Everyone, wake up!"
Bang!
"Ahhh..."
The guild erupted in chaos as this unreliable group finally got up to rearrange their appearances and headed to Kardia Cathedral.
The cathedral was already prepared, with a floral arch set up outside the main entrance, and a long carpet laid from the bottom of the stairs into the cathedral.
Inside the cathedral, flowers lined both sides of the carpet, and the bridesmaids, including Erza, were all waiting at the door.
Lucy complained, "So slow, if it's any later, we'll be late!"
Kana added, "Yeah, my drink is almost finished."
Lisana teasingly said, "Why didn't Brother Elf push them more?"
Elfman scratched his chin, avoiding Lisana's gaze, unable to mention getting into a fight before his sister's wedding or being easily knocked down after.
"Master Gray, so handsome!" Jubia's eyes turned into hearts, even though she only saw Gray's formal attire for two seconds, it was captivating enough.
And the way he instantly threw off his jacket was particularly charming, his muscles more appealing after shedding his coat.
Jubia was lost in her own world for a few seconds, gloomily watching female guests—they must also be eyeing Master Gray's physique!
"Relax a bit, don't scare the guests," Reby patted Jubia, signaling her to calm down while secretly checking out Gajeel.
Jubia noticed Reby's subtle distraction when she spoke, suspiciously asking, "Do you like Master Gray too?!"
Wendy closely followed Reby; after joining the bridesmaids, she found only standing by Reby's side kept her from being swallowed by inferiority.
The young girl glanced at Mebius discreetly, rudely thinking: Perhaps the First Generation is a good companion too.
Laki came running out from inside: "The priest said it's about time, let's begin!"
"Alright!" A clear-headed Erza naturally took charge, "Guests, please enter! Groomsmen and bridesmaids, get ready!"
"This should be my job..." Marcus felt uneasy, such an important event, yet he wasn't allowed to host the entire ceremony.
Though unwilling, as the ceremony began and the music played, he could only fulfill his duties.
Guests entered in succession, groomsmen and bridesmaids paired up, following the rhythm of the music, stepping in 'elegantly.'
With the peculiar group of groomsmen and bridesmaids invited by their own guild, Rhode and Mira found it hard to keep elegance.
But it didn't matter; it was the liveliness that counted.
Putting the groomsmen aside, these unique bridesmaids caught the attention of visiting journalists and editorial friends, inspiring them to take photos.
Rhode had been guided to the right side of the hall. Looking at the packed hall and the priest on stage, he shamefully began to feel nervous again, his mind blank.
Until he heard someone call 'the groom,' his mind barely rebooted, and after a brief analysis, he realized it was his turn to emerge and stepped forward.
In a daze, Rhode saw Mira in her white wedding dress, holding a bouquet, walking towards him under Makarov's guidance.
The red carpet, flowers in the hall... Rhode found everything in his vision dimmed except for the person slowly walking towards him.
The closer she got, the more breathtakingly beautiful she appeared.
"Ahem..." Makarov cleared his throat, reminding Rhode to move a bit more towards the center.
Rhode snapped back, stepping forward.
Mira smiled at him, her eyes filled with happiness and joy.
Acting as the 'father,' Makarov placed Mira's hand into Rhode's: "Blessings to you both, may you always be happy."
Even though Lucy and Reby provided Makarov with eloquent and exquisite words, he chose the simplest expression finally.
Rhode and Mira softly thanked him, then gazed into each other's eyes, unwilling to look away.
But the ceremony continued, with Asuka and the shrunken Romeo walking ahead, carrying a flower basket, scattering petals.
Rhode and Mira linked arms and walked down the flower path to the altar.
Hapi and Carla also flew out with flower baskets, spreading showers of petals.
Teammates on both sides cheered and clapped, witnessing the new couple ascend the stage, standing on either side of the priest.
"Please make your vows. Mr. Rhode, do you wish to become Miss Mirajane's husband?"
"Yes, I do," Rhode said solemnly yet gently, "I wish to be her husband, love what she loves, care for her concerns, bear her every pain, accompany her through every trial. I'm willing to serenade with a sword for her, and fight with a sword for her, in richness or poverty, in humility or nobility, never to part, until eternity!"
The priest asked again, "Miss Mirajane, do you wish to become Mr. Rhode's wife?"
"Yes, I do," Mira replied tenderly and passionately, "I wish to be his wife, love what he loves, share his thoughts, face every hardship together, walk through every peril with him. Whether joy or sorrow, smooth or difficult, I'm willing to dress up and dance for him, or armor up and fight for him, never to part, until eternity!"
The two held each other's hands, Rhode saw tears of joy in Mira's eyes, and Mira saw waves of happiness in Rhode's.
Hearing their vows, Lisana covered her mouth with her hand, silently crying, while Elfman openly wept, accepting a handkerchief from Ibarglin.
