Chapter 741 - Chapter 79: Princess Jade

According to the plan, the wedding should include an evening ball, a champagne tower, and cake cutting.

But this group couldn't wait until the evening, and as soon as they returned to the guild, they started stirring things up, urging Rhode and Mira to start dancing.

Rhode and Mira weren't rigid people, so if they had to do it earlier, they did.

Under everyone's gaze, they danced a teasing dance and a romantic dance, and then were ruthlessly ushered off.

The bride and groom had completed their historical mission, and now it was time for the others to take over.

The two didn't get upset, didn't even change clothes, just found a place to sit and started eating.

Rhode shoved a few bites into his mouth to fill himself up a bit, then saw Mira eating meat heartily. He poured a drink and pushed it over, laughing, "My dear, your manner of eating isn't very elegant right now."

Mira swallowed the food in her mouth, reluctantly wiped her lips to maintain some image, and complained, "I haven't eaten anything since morning, I'm starving."

Rhode asked confusedly, "Didn't I ask Hapi to bring you some snacks this morning?"

"Well, he did, but there was only half a box left when it arrived. Hapi had crumbs on his whiskers yet insisted he hadn't stolen any," Mira said with resentment. "Plus, I'd just put on lipstick at the time, so I had to give the snacks away."

That... really seemed like something Hapi would do. Rhode secretly harbored a grudge and pushed more delicious food in front of Mira.

Mira continued to feast mightily, but after just a couple of bites, she abruptly stopped and looked at Rhode, "Does this look really bad?"

"Whatever makes you comfortable," Rhode replied, feigning helplessness like he had been deceived by a scoundrel, "After all, I've already been roped in by you, so it doesn't matter if you show your true colors."

"Right, I've already roped you in!" Mira showed a mischievous smile, pointing at Rhode with a partially gnawed large chicken drumstick, "Resign to your fate!"

Rhode was about to take a bite from the drumstick offered to his mouth when Mira suddenly couldn't hold back her laughter.

As the little couple were playfully flirting, things got chaotic again on the other side.

According to the rules, the groomsmen and bridesmaids were supposed to pair up and dance.

So Jubia proactively stood in front of Gray, waiting for him to invite her.

Gray had an expression full of reluctance.

Leon immediately squeezed Gray aside and extended his hand quite gentlemanly, "Since this fool doesn't want to participate, Miss Jubia, would you like to have a dance with me?"

Before Jubia could speak, Gray kicked Leon away and pulled Jubia to run off with her.

"Don't randomly harass the girls from our guild!"

That's what Gray said, whatever he thought in his heart was unknown. Anyway, Jubia thought it was Gray turning against Leon for her—so she must repay Lord Gray with love.

Jet and Troy started fighting over who should invite Reby to dance, but Reby kept looking at Gajeel.

Gajeel, propping his chin with one hand, was chewing on some bolts and nuts, completely uninterested in dancing.

Li Li, worried about Reby's awkwardness, directly went over to ask if she wanted to dance with him. Reby silently sighed.

This time, Elfman was quite bold. Although a bit awkward, with Lisana's urging, he invited Ibarglin.

Ibarglin's mouth was quite tough too, only saying to Elfman halfway through the dance, "Listen, it's just because I was worried you'd fail the invitation and feel embarrassed, not that I wanted to dance with you."

Elfman nodded, "Got it."

Ibarglin: (▼皿▼#) What do you get?!

Other pairs were much more casual, and Laxus even invited Erza, whom no one dared to invite, to avoid any embarrassment for her.

Finally returning, Natsu and Lucy naturally paired up together.

Other enthusiastic guests also joined in, making the guild merrily harmonious for a moment.

However, the good times didn't last long. The 20-year-old Troy suddenly shouted in a panic, "Not good! There's an army outside, seemingly about to surround the guild!"

"What?" Makarov was taken aback and asked, "Where did this army come from?"

His first reaction was that one of his brats had caused some trouble again, prompting the council to send troops to catch someone.

The music stopped abruptly, and those dancing also paused, some not hearing the shout and wondering what happened, while others heard Troy's words and were puzzled as to why there was an army.

Rhode frowned, an army? It was just tearing down a church, not even entirely, and it's not like they wouldn't compensate, not to the extent of dispatching an army, right?

No, there are council members present, so how could there be an army?

He wiped his mouth and stood up. In this situation, he had to go out and receive them.

Mira also put down her utensils, took out a small mirror to clean her mouth's corners, quickly applied some makeup, and took Rhode's arm as they headed out together.

The two, along with Makarov, reached the entrance with others surrounding them, Lahar and Mest among them, also curious to see who the visitors could be.

Everyone looked towards the west end of the street and saw a knight leading the group, riding a tall horse and wearing white armor.

Behind him were several guards, with a luxurious carriage following, and behind the carriage, a fully armored unit marched neatly towards the guild.

Jura glanced and said in a low voice, "With such pomp... it's probably the royal family, and they likely mean no harm."

Looking at the gear these people had, it was evident they had a significant background, so with their status, they probably wouldn't take a regular flying ship.

Since they had taken a flying ship, they usually chose direct flights, only the royal family would disembark from a large flying ship with a carriage, and then proceed with the full royal ceremonial procession.

Jura's words carried weight, and many people let out a sigh of relief but then became nervous again.

The royal family was rarely seen, and they worried if they'd be considered criminals for any disrespect.

The leading knight halted a short distance away and signaled to stop.

The troops immediately came to a halt, and the carriage also gradually stopped.

The knight dismounted, scanning the crowd in front of the guild, pausing a bit longer on the council members.

He declared loudly, "The princess has arrived, lay down your weapons, and do not be rude!"

"Princess?!"

"Is it Princess Jade of our Fiore Kingdom?"

"Why would she come?!"

Makarov looked at Rhode and Mira, but Rhode and Mira were equally perplexed; they hadn't sent the princess an invitation.

While everyone was in shock, the coachman had already placed a stool on the ground, the curtain of the carriage was lifted, and a green-haired girl stepped out.

She wore a silver-gold tiara embedded with rubies on her head, an emerald necklace around her neck, a white fur cloak on her shoulders, and a radiant smile, her beauty remarkable.

Princess Jade carefully stepped down from the carriage and gracefully walked towards Fairy Tail. She immediately spotted Rhode and Mira at the forefront, her eyes lighting up involuntarily.

In her youth, she had been astounded by Mira's photos, and now six years later, Mira's looks hadn't changed at all.

Not only that, but in her wedding dress, she appeared even more radiant.

Silently admiring the bride and groom, Princess Jade then noticed the celebrities like Jura, One Night, and Jenny, finally spotting Makarov next to Rhode with some effort.

She leaned forward slightly in greeting, softly saying, "I apologize for the unexpected visit. I came today to congratulate Mr. Rhode and Miss Mirajane. Please treat me as an ordinary guest."

Princess Jade collected everyone's astonishment in her eyes, looked softly at Rhode and Mira, and asked, "Do you two mind?"
