Chapter 810 - Chapter 148: Be Careful, There Are Many Enemies

Rhode finally managed to understand the thought process of the guild owner's wife and explained to her, with a wry smile, that the Ten Wizard Saints didn't have that kind of authority.

——Although if Rhode wanted, he could achieve it in other ways, but he clearly had no such intention.

The owner finally breathed a sigh of relief and confidently shared Phil and Dor's room numbers with them.

Walking down the street, Wendy was still marveling, "So Brother Rhode is already this amazing."

Carla said, "Wasn't he like this a long time ago?"

"No, I mean..." Wendy tilted her head, unsure how to express it.

Lucy helped her out, "He's become someone who, just by saying or doing something casually, makes people nervous."

Wendy nodded, "Yes, that's what I mean! I never felt it before, and suddenly it just became like this."

"When you're always together, you can't feel the change in status of your companions," Carla said, "Just like the President, clearly a Ten Wizard Saint, but only when he's angry does everyone get scared."

"Are you saying that I lack authority normally? Then..." Rhode thought for a moment, straightened his face, and said, "You three, come to my room tonight!

"Wendy will be in charge of feeding, Carla will massage my back, and Lucy... you can be in charge of pouring the footbath!"

Wendy laughed. Carla glanced at him, "Are you becoming an idiot too?"

Only Lucy seriously complained, "Why is my treatment so much worse!"

"I'm joking..." Rhode looked at her, "Did you just seriously imagine it for a moment?"

Lucy's face turned red, "No, I didn't!"

Carla: "You definitely imagined it seriously."

...

"Miss Phil is already awake, Mr. Dor is still unconscious, the second room on the left," the nurse explained.

The Mages' Guild's emblem was quite useful, Lucy displayed it on her hand, and the nurse cooperated by explaining the situation.

They went upstairs and found Phil and Dor's room. A young man, bruised and swollen, was lying on the hospital bed, with an IV drip, his right leg hoisted up.

On another bed, there was a young woman with orange hair, peeling an apple with a small knife.

After peeling, she placed the apple on the side table and ate the apple peel like noodles.

There were already four peeled apples on the small table by the bed, meaning she had eaten at least four peels.

Upon hearing a knock on the door, Phil turned around, "This bottle of medicine hasn't... huh? Who are you guys?"

Rhode stayed at the door without entering, and Lucy stepped forward, "Hello, we are mages from Fairy Tail. We heard from villagers that you've been poisoned, so we wanted to check on you."

"Oh..." Phil's mood wasn't high, as failure in a mission could be a big blow for mages, "I'm almost recovered, but Dor probably still needs to lie down for a few more days."

The resilience of mages was indeed formidable; if an ordinary person were as injured as Dor, they might not even survive to be rescued.

Wendy immediately stepped forward to detoxify Dor and also planned to treat his other injuries.

"A rare healing mage, as expected of a large guild," Phil was astonished, watching in admiration, and asked, "Since you're here, are the villagers okay now?"

Lucy nodded, "Yes, we just need to expel those bees next, but we haven't found them yet. Is there any information you can share with us?"

"Their nest should be in the mountains north of the village, though occasionally some appear by the river," Phil, thinking of providing more information as a way to compensate for Dor's medical expenses,

"They seem to have some cloaking magic and like to hide near daylilies. Once someone approaches, they suddenly appear in great numbers.

"Do you know the Star Spirit of Ursa Major? It's a big, tough guy with great power.

"Originally, bears should be the nemesis of bees, but under the onslaught of those giant bees, she couldn't hold out for long.

"There are just so many of them, no matter how much I burn, I can't burn them all, and they will sneak out from blind spots for a surprise attack. If it weren't for Dor and Sehiness of Compass Constellation, I'd probably still be unconscious too."

"Alright, Mr. Dor will wake up before nightfall," Wendy had completed the treatment on the other side.

The toxin had been cleared, part of the fracture had healed, and the shock to the internal organs mostly cured, leaving the rest to Dor's recovery.

Lucy glanced over in that direction, inadvertently spotting a bunch of keys at Dor's bedside.

Even though she didn't intend to pry into someone else's information, Lucy immediately recognized that they were the keys of Ursa Major, Compass Constellation, Canis Minor Constellation, and Leo Minor Constellation.

"Thank you," Phil thanked Wendy.

Wendy gave a sweet smile.

They discussed some details, and Lucy bid farewell, "Then we won't disturb you any longer."

Just as they left the hospital, Lucy's smile dropped, "What should we do? There are so many bees; it's like an army!"

Rhode chuckled, "Other things might be problematic, but numbers are not."

The two girls and one cat thought of Rhode's creature swarming tactic, feeling uneasy and yet reassured at the same time.

They exited the town limits, and Rhode, seeing that there weren't many people around, released three Void Nest Insects, letting them start spawning.

So the blue-violet Void Worms multiplied, so much so that Lucy, Wendy, and Carla didn't quite dare to look back.

Seeing their nervous expressions, Rhode ordered the Nest Insects to keep the worms a little further away.

The journey remained calm, but as they passed by the woods where they had previously encountered the Three-headed Dog, they saw familiar figures.

Loka was supporting Semus as they walked this way, with Baggs covering their retreat.

About a dozen fist-sized bees flew out from the woods, including one large one about a foot long.

The bees came menacingly, buzzing their wings and charging at Baggs.

But Baggs remained unfazed, slashing downward with his left hand, and it seemed like a sliver of light flashed by—a row of four bees fell heavily to the ground.

With a horizontal sweep of his right hand, five bees flew backward, disappearing into the bushes.

The last two bees, one large and one small, made an emergency halt, hovered for a moment, then fluttered their wings and retreated.

Baggs was slightly puzzled, but when he saw Rhode and the others, he was a bit irritated, "Damn it, mere bees dare to look down on me! They aren't afraid of me but are scared of them?!"

Loka, panting heavily, stopped and reminded, "Brother Baggs, I think they're afraid of something else."

"Huh?" Baggs arrogantly looked into the distance and couldn't maintain his expression, "What the heck is that?!"
