With Lucy's precision reading, it became much easier for Carla to take her closer to the Quadrant.
The Quadrant had no choice but to move its position more frequently.
And this action allowed Lucy to gather more intelligence:
First, it was not good at offensive magic, and probably didn't even have defensive magic.
Second, it would only move its position when it absolutely had to, because each time it changed position, it needed a brief moment to perform a 'leveling' operation.
Lucy speculated that during the leveling process, it was probably unable to move.
She quickly came up with a foolproof plan, but to ensure success, she needed at least one more person who could accurately read the opponent's moves.
So...
Lucy took out the Gemini key: "Gemini!"
Gemini immediately appeared next to Lucy on battlefield number one.
"Gemini, copy my current state and thoughts, replace me at my previous position, and then act according to the plan!"
"Understood!" The small blue figure high-fived Lucy.
They transformed into Lucy's current form, quickly obtaining the battle plan and the method to predict the Quadrant's moves while falling.
Then, Gemini returned to its original form and flew to a hidden spot below.
Lucy's entire plan began, but just at that moment, an unexpected situation arose.
On a nearby mountain, Rhode and Wendy were chasing a Cerberus and a Big Bee.
At this moment, the Cerberus had two heads restored, but it didn't dare to engage them directly; it immediately fled at the sight of people.
The Big Bee was no different, only daring to order its swarm to intercept.
Strangely enough, Rhode and Wendy didn't get tangled up with the bees; they deftly avoided all attacks and continued pursuing the Cerberus and the bees.
The Quadrant was being continuously harassed by Lucy, unable to focus on the two of them, which made them quite disheveled.
And just as they were about to be caught up, the Quadrant finally acted.
"Is this time... everything?" Lucy's expression changed.
As soon as she finished speaking, all the bees that were supposed to be fighting the wild monsters in the valley gathered around, sealing off Lucy and Carla tightly.
Three layers inside, three layers outside? No, it's thirty layers inside and thirty layers outside!
Even more critical was that the Cerberus and Big Bee were teleported over, one pouncing from above toward Lucy, the other revealing its stinger from below.
"Oh no, oh no!" Lucy had never imagined the opponent would go all out like this.
And once again, it was targeting her.
It was also at this moment that a thick blue lightning appeared suddenly above Lucy, engulfing the entire Cerberus in a torrent of lightning.
And below Lucy, a strong tornado appeared, and in an instant, the Big Bee was swept into the tornado.
Rhode and Wendy's figures appeared, both with their mouths open, and those attacks were their synchronous breaths.
"Mr. Rhode!"
"Wendy!"
Lucy and Carla looked at the two rescuers with surprise and joy, while on the mountain, Rhode and Wendy quickly dissolved like bubbles.
— Rhode, his Illusion Magic was becoming more skilled; he created illusions when almost reaching the mountain top, successfully switching with the help of the alchemical mist for concealment.
Originally planning to quietly sneak to the Quadrant, protecting Lucy, who had high enmity and could be surrounded at any moment.
But who would have thought that Lucy would force the Quadrant to fly around wildly in the sky.
Rhode had no choice but to keep chasing them with Wendy, waiting for an opportunity.
Then he heard Lucy had a way to handle it, so he simply watched the performance.
And as expected, Lucy was surrounded.
Just as expected.
Now the Cerberus and Big Bee disappeared into the lightning and storm, and the bee swarm dispersed with the Big Bee's vanishment.
What's left in the sky was just a solitary Quadrant.
"Don't just stand there, now's your time," Rhode raised his hand and summoned an Amaterasu's Formula 28 Magic Array to envelop the Quadrant, forcing it to teleport mindlessly in a rush.
As soon as it materialized, a bullet appeared at the location almost simultaneously.
Its core component, the quadrant ring, was hit, causing a resounding explosion.
The small bullet delivered a cannon-like impact, and the Quadrant soon disintegrated like the Cerberus, disappearing into points of light.
But... who fired the shot?
Rhode caught Wendy, who was about to fall.
They both looked down to see Bisca standing up from behind a rock, twirling a long sniper rifle before resting it on her shoulder.
Bewildered, Bisca began emitting light, transforming into Gemini and Minnie.
"Ah, ah…" Lucy said somewhat sullenly, "Mr. Rhode, forcing the Quadrant to use magic was my task!"
Her plan was to force the opponent to move, then have Gemini use the knowledge obtained from her to predict the opponent's target location and fire in advance.
By using bullets with appropriate speed and timing the shot well, the bullet would hit the opponent just after they completed their teleportation.
And to perform such high-difficulty sniping, requiring precise control on timing, distance, and bullet types, only the guild's sniper, Bisca, was capable.
Fortunately, a few days ago, Bisca and Alzack had to go out to work and planned to leave Asuka at the guild for everyone to take care of.
The resourceful Lucy had Gemini copy Bisca, thinking if Asuka acted up or cried for her mom, Gemini could take over temporarily.
Gemini's ability could even temporarily duplicate items like the Star Spirit Key, so Bisca's gun and ammo were no exception.
Luckily, no other individuals were copied recently, and today, her ability was precisely needed—such fortune.
The only unfortunate part was her opportunity to shine was partly taken away... but since her rescuer saved her, she couldn't be mad.
"Sorry, sorry, but you really devised a brilliant plan! Well done." Rhode dismissed his minuscule guilt of 0.00001 milligrams and praised, "If things keep up, the title of Fairy Tail Strategist will be yours!"
"No, no, it's not that exaggerated."
"No, no, no, Lucy, your performance today can be described as excellent. On behalf of the president, I commend you, well done!"
"Ha, ha-ha..." Lucy happily scratched the back of her head in laughter.
Rhode always felt she had traces of Natsu in her.
Carla, however, wasn't so easily fooled: "Hey, if you didn't think Lucy could handle that guy, why did you let her come?"
Rhode was embarrassed to admit it was because he saw her as a bait for aggro.
He asked, "Do you remember why I insisted on Lucy dressing up as a bee lady?"
Carla responded, "To satisfy your weird tastes."
Rhode considered it libel: "...I am not that boring."
Wendy obediently said, "Brother Rhode said he'd tell us part of the reason after the task is completed, the rest has to wait until we return to the Guild."
Rhode patted Wendy's head with gratification; this kid was truly an angel.
"Now I can tell you part of it," Rhode said. "Do you remember the first encounter with the Cerberus and the first bee ambush incident?
"I reviewed the situation and discovered Lucy was the primary target these abandoned Star Spirits wanted to eliminate first."
Lucy was shocked: "Me? Why?"
