# Chapter 173: Delta Accel Synchro
"What? It's unaffected by any card effects?" Bruno stared at the monster on Crow's field in shock, gritting his teeth as his Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion was pulled to his opponent's field by a black light wave from Blackwing - Heavy-Armored Winged Crow.
"What a powerful effect!" the Female Commentator exclaimed. "Is this Crow's true ace?"
"Battle!" Crow waved his hand, entering the Battle Phase.
"Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion, direct attack!" Crow declared. The forcibly captured Shooting Star Dragon let out a mournful cry, launching an all-out barrage at Bruno!
"I activate the Trap Card, Resist Rebirth!" Bruno flipped up the only set card in his backrow. "This card can only be activated when an opponent's monster declares a direct attack. It ends the Battle Phase, then I Special Summon one Tuner and one Synchro Monster from the Graveyard with their effects negated!"
"The effect to end the Battle Phase applies to the player, as per the rules. Your monster may be unaffected by other cards, but you aren't," Bruno stated calmly.
"Now, be revived! T.G. Star Guardian! T.G. Power Gladiator!"
"Blocked again, huh? In that case, I'll end my turn," Crow said, concluding his turn.
Before drawing, Bruno surveyed the field, deep in thought. "It seems Brother Crow's ace can only be destroyed by battle. That part's manageable; I can summon T.G. Blade Gunner with its 3300 ATK right now. However, Blade Gunner can't deal with my Shooting Star Dragon."
He knew his own monsters well. The T.G. Blade Gunner he normally used had the same summoning conditions as Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion, but their power levels were completely different.
"I don't have any cards in my hand that can break this deadlock. Do I have to rely on my next draw?" Bruno thought, placing his right hand on his deck and slowly closing his eyes.
Just then, the crimson Mark of the Dragon reappeared on his right arm. Feeling the searing heat, Bruno's eyes shot open!
"My turn! I draw!" A flash of red light streaked past. After drawing the card, Bruno focused his gaze on it. "It's here."
"I summon the Tuner Monster, T.G. Cyber Magician, in Attack Position!" Bruno slapped the newly drawn card onto his Duel Disk.
"T.G. Cyber Magician's effect! When this card is used as Synchro Material for a T.G. Synchro Monster, I can also use another T.G. monster from my hand, other than a Tuner, as Synchro Material!"
"I tune the Level 1 T.G. Cyber Magician on my field with the Level 1 T.G. Drill Fish in my hand!"

Bruno twisted the throttle, pushing his D-Wheel's engine to its absolute limit. A fiery red aura once again enveloped him, with golden starlight shimmering faintly within.
"Is it coming again? The legendary Accel Synchro?" the Female Commentator shouted. The entire audience held their breath, not wanting to miss a single detail of this miracle.
However, unlike a normal Accel Synchro, the three monsters around Bruno formed a perfect equilateral triangle, rotating to open a brilliant path. Bruno twisted the throttle again, and the complete Mark of the Dragon on his back flashed before he vanished at the end of the road of light.
"Top Clear Mind! When the clustered stars become one, a new bond will illuminate the future! Become the path its light shines upon! Delta Accel Synchro! Light of evolution, Shooting Quasar Dragon!"
Bruno's voice echoed through the stadium. A moment later, he shot out of the void behind Crow, riding on a trail of brilliant starlight. The colossal dragon following him left a long afterimage, leaving everyone on the field stunned.
The resplendent dragon danced on the wind, the starlight from its wings drifting down among the audience like sprites. Everyone stopped cheering, silently gazing at the god-like dragon.

"Haaah…" Bruno let out a long sigh and looked at Crow. "This is what I was talking about. A new state that surpasses Accel Synchro—Delta Accel Synchro!"
"You really pulled out something incredible," Crow said, looking up at the god-like dragon in the sky and shrugging with a smile.
"Delta Accel Synchro?" Seated on his throne, Jack slowly raised his head. Watching the magnificent dragon, he murmured to himself, "If that's what it is, then it has earned the right to my attention."
"Battle!" Bruno waved his hand, entering the Battle Phase.
"Shooting Quasar Dragon, attack Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion!"
Shooting Quasar Dragon let out a high-pitched roar, transforming into a stream of light as it shot straight toward the Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion on Crow's field.
"Did you forget your own monster's effect?" Crow said with a smile. "The effect of Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion activates! Once per turn, when an opponent's monster declares an attack, that attack is negated!"
The turbochargers on Shooting Star Dragon T.G. Expansion's back roared to life, kicking up a furious whirlwind to stop the attack from its descending counterpart. But the stream of light that was Shooting Quasar Dragon burst forth with dazzling radiance, dispersing the hurricane into nothingness.
"Shooting Quasar Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, when a Spell, Trap, or Monster Effect is activated, I can negate that activation and destroy it!"
In a flash of light, the Shooting Star Dragon that Crow had stolen slowly dissipated, transforming into specks of starlight and returning to Bruno's Graveyard.
"Since the number of monsters on your field has changed, a replay occurs! Shooting Quasar Dragon, change your attack target! Go! Attack Blackwing - Heavy-Armored Winged Crow!"
The stream of light that was Shooting Quasar Dragon changed direction in mid-air, swooping down toward Crow's final line of defense, the heavily armored, black-winged warrior.
Blackwing - Heavy-Armored Winged Crow possessed one of the strongest forms of protection in the game, being unaffected by any other card effects. To deal with it, aside from using one of Yūga Hōzumi's lifelong enemies, it could only be defeated head-on in battle. Its 3000 ATK was certainly comparable to the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but at this moment, before the Level 12 Delta Accel Synchro Monster summoned by Bruno—a being at the very pinnacle of all Synchro Monsters—it simply wasn't enough.
"I won't go down that easily!" Crow shouted, reaching out to grab an Action Card and slapping it onto his Duel Disk.
"I activate the Action Card, High Dive! I target one monster on the field; that monster gains 1000 ATK until the end of the turn!"
