Chapter 377 - Chapter 378 Difficulty

"At first, I thought Defense Against the Dark Arts class was going to be a complete disaster ," Fred whispered , voicing the thoughts of many of the students in the class.

Professor Quirrell's teaching abilitywas far inferior to that of the two previous Defence Against the Dark Arts Professors , but at least he managed to impart some useful knowledge to everyone.

The third-year curriculum at Hogwarts was still taught according to the" Defense Against Dark Arts Guide. "This Defense Against Dark Arts textbook was expected to be used until the fifth year, and the main content of the OWL exam came from this book.

Of course, some professors selectively add new teaching materials to suit their own needs; for example, Lockhart, who is a particular advanced con artist .

Professor Quirrell was at the podium, explaining to the students about the Inferi and a series of precautions to take if they encountered it. He oncetold everyone that his scarf was a gift from an African prince, a gift that had gratefully helped him escape the Inferi .

However, nobody really believed Professor Quirrell's story .

After everyone quickly jotted down the relevant information, they looked towards Albert as if something was about to happen .

"Do you have any questions, Mr. Anderson ?" Quirrell stammered , looking at Albert, who raised his hand to ask a question .

" Professor , I'd like to know the difference between zombies and the legendary Inferi ," Albert asked . "How can we tell them apart?"

After pausing, as if to allow Quirrell to catch his breath and hear clearly,: "So,how should we deal with the Inferi if we encounter them?"

"A difference...a difference?" Quirrell didn't particularly enjoy Albert's questions , but this genius always asked very pertinent and logical ones. Now, however, he was feeling a little dizzy from the barrage of questions.

Everyone felt a little sympathy for Professor Quirrell , but they all preferred Albert to "put Professor Quirrell in a difficult situation . "

Because from Albert's questions and Professor Quirrell's answers, they could gain even more useful information than from what Professor Quirrell taught in class .

Professor Quirrell answered Albert's question reluctantly and stammeringly," The Inferi are 'cursed resurrected corpses'who have been transformed into 'horrifying puppet ' servantscontrolled by a Dark Sorcerer . "

Known as Hogwarts' greatest prodigy , this studentasked questions in every class and, without realizing it,had become a permanent part of the Defense Against Dark Arts class .

Professor Quirrell initially regretted answering the questions, but it was too late. If he hadn't, everyone would have looked at him with expectant eyes; a level of focus he'd never seen in the class before.

"...According to legend, this is Black Magic created by the unnamed Head of the Devil ."

Everyone could feel Professor Quirrell's body trembling uncontrollably. His voice also trembledwhen he uttered the name ofunnamed Devil's Head .

In short, I'd like to mention that the reading app I've been using lately, [\Mimi\Reading\app\\], has a wealth of resources, complete books, and fast updates!

"Back then, the unnamed Devil's Head killed many Muggles and used their bodies to create numerous Inferi ," Quirrell said dryly. "To be honest, that's not a pleasant subject."

"As for the difference, Inferi are dead bodies, puppets , capable only of carrying out the Dark Wizard's orders ; reanimated zombies, on the other hand, retain some consciousness from their previous lives, essentially closer to ghosts. Of course, in Britain you generally don't need to worry about encountering reanimated zombies."

"Sir, if we encounter the Inferi , how should we deal with them?" Albert asked , after patiently waiting for Quirrell to finish .

" The Inferi haven't been seen for a very long time," Quirrell said uneasily. " The Inferi have disappeared ever since the unnamed Demon Head last lost its power ."

"But that doesn't mean the Inferi have completely disappeared ," Albert continued . "As long as someone still knows the magic to create Inferi , it's still possible to encounter them. I looked at the relevant information and there are very few records: 'Many uses' for Inferi, such as 'warriors or guards who don't care about their own safety .'"

"Yes... yes, there are many uses for the Inferi as 'warriors or guards who don't care about their own safety' ," Quirrell stammered , repeating. "Encountering a swarm of Inferi would be very dangerous ."

"But the Inferi fear fire and light," said Quirrell . "Fire can burn them to death, and light can drive them to retreat into the shadows, becoming bewildered and uncontrollable."

"Sir, can we use a spell to blow their heads off to stop or eliminate the Inferi ? I mean, to get rid of them?" In Albert's eyes , the Inferi were puppets, somewhat similar to the zombies in Resident Evil. But could the methods used to eliminate zombies also get rid of the Inferi ?

When Albert saidthis, many students involuntarily touched their heads.

"Well... I haven't encountered the Inferi either , so I'm not entirely sure if what you're saying will be effective," Quirrell stammered . "If you ever do encounter them, I suggest Mr. Anderson not try random things. The Inferi, described as 'warriors or guards who don't care about their own safety,' must be dealt with using the right, safest, and most reliable methods. Otherwise, once you come face-to-face with the Inferi , it will be a disaster."

Albert nodded, indicating he understood.

There were actuallymany wizards who could wield wands and cast the Incendio spell , but not everyone could possiblybreathe flames to ward off the Inferi .

Albert even doubtedthe light emanatingan ordinary Lumos amulet would be enough to frighten the Inferi .

If you encounter a single Inferi , there's no danger as long as you control it properly, but if you encounter a group, you may need to flee.

At the time, Harry Potter didn't seem like someone who could handle it.

In Albert's limited memory, there was a large group of Inferiwhere Harry and Dumbledore went to find the Slytherin locket, andDumbledore eventually had to light a large fire to drive all the Inferi away .

Of course, if you do encounter a lot of Inferi in the future , throwing a sphere of light and quickly getting away is still the Right Path ; after all, those who aren't afraid of death are truly problematic.

"By the way, why do you enjoy constantly causing trouble for Professor Quirrell ?"

When the lesson was over, Fred finally couldn't resist asking.

"I do n't think Professor Quirrell has fully revealed his true level," Albert said seriously. "Besides, he's a very excellent professor ."

"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Anderson ," Quirrell replied with a forced smile as he passed by.

"Smarmy."

Katrina murmured softly as she watched Professor Quirrell's back retreat into thedistance.

"Remember, Professor Quirrell answered all the questions I asked," Albert recalled . "What we see on the surface isn't always true."

This decision stemmed from Quirrell's actions , as he had managed to escape Gringotts' pursuit. He had deceived the goblins , convincing them that it had been done by a Dark Wizard ; naturally, he possessed a skill, otherwise he would have been killed by the goblins long ago .

Furthermore, the most important element was the Devil's Fire , also known as the Devil's Head Flame. This thing is incredibly difficult to control. If Quirrell was able to control the Devil's Head Flame and burn through the vault door, how could he possibly be weak?

In a way, any wizard who dared to play with Fiendfyre and didn't burn to death could be considered quite powerful.

The other side needs to have a high level of proficiency in Dark Magic , at least much more powerful than Albert .

Of course, there was actually another reason for this.

Albert found a new assignment in Quirrell : "Good Student."

" It turns out your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is hiding a big secret. You discover he's not as inept as he seems. Using the student method, uncover his hidden power and try to ask him one hundred questions."

"5/100"

"Reward: 10,000 experience points, 1 skill point, acquiring a specified skill from the target."

Yes, that's right, that was the main reason Albert worked so hard to ask the questions. He needed to finish asking his questions in a reasonable way before Quirrell was defeated by Harry .
