After killing Blueno, Gojo stood on the now-broken rooftop, the tiles cracked and shattered beneath his feet from the aftermath of their battle. Dust still drifted lazily through the night air. He looked down from the roof of the house and found the Straw Hats standing below. Interestingly, the Straw Hats were not alone. Along with them stood the Mayor of Water 7, Iceburg, and the Vice President of the Galley-La Company, Paulie.
As soon as Gojo saw this scene, an amused smile appeared on his face.
Well, this is an interesting sight.
He jumped from the roof, his shirt fluttering slightly in the air, and landed softly on the ground with barely a sound. Then he casually walked up to them and said, "I wasn't expecting the victims of the assassination to now be standing with the assassins."
As soon as Gojo said this, everyone there understood exactly what he was talking about. Clearly, the newspaper had mentioned that Iceburg had been assassinated by the Straw Hat group. And yet here Iceburg was, standing completely alongside the Straw Hats. Although he was definitely still injured—after all, there were still bandages wrapped around his head and hand area—he looked far from dead.
Iceburg did not explain everything in detail. Instead, he simply said, "They are not my assassins. It was just a misunderstanding."
Then, as if suddenly remembering the existence of the CP9 agents, he looked toward the broken rooftop above and then back at Gojo.
"But what are you doing out here at night, killing a bartender?" Iceburg asked. He was clearly talking about Blueno. Looking toward Gojo more seriously now, he added, "Did he try to assassinate you or kill you?"
Gojo nodded without hesitation and said, "Definitely. He first tried to kill me, or why do you think I would kill him? I'm not some sick psychopath who would go around killing people for no reason."
For a brief second, the amusement on his face faded.
"I don't find amusement or fun in this. He attacked me first. He tried to assassinate me, and there was some other one also, so I killed them."
Iceburg nodded. He understood that Blueno must also have been one of the CP9 agents, similar to Kalifa, Rob Lucci, and Kaku.
Seeing Iceburg and Gojo conversing with each other like this, Zoro said, "We are currently tight on time. We have to reach Enies Lobby as soon as possible. So let's get going and leave Water 7 as soon as possible."
Zoro said this to Iceburg. They had already kind of wasted a few minutes by watching the scene where Gojo killed Blueno by stabbing him in the neck. The smell of dust and blood still lingered faintly in the air, and Blueno's body was still lying nearby.
As soon as Gojo heard the words Enies Lobby from Zoro, he looked toward him and said, "Are you all going to Enies Lobby?"
As soon as Gojo asked this, Luffy immediately replied without hesitation, "Yes, we are going to Enies Lobby, and we are going there to save our crewmate who is important to us."
There was not even the slightest doubt in Luffy's voice. His answer came instantly, as if there had never been any other option in his mind.
After listening to this, Gojo nodded slowly and said, "Can I also join you? These agents were sent here by someone named Spandam, and for his daring to send someone to assassinate me, I want to teach him a lesson. And he also challenged me to come to Enies Lobby, and I love fulfilling challenges."
A smile appeared on his face, but this smile was full of coldness.
Spandam made the mistake of involving me in this.
Of course, the lesson Gojo was talking about was killing Spandam. He was not just going to break his hands or do something minor like that.
As soon as Luffy heard this, he said, "Very well, you can come with us."
Zoro also nodded and said, "Yes, with someone like him present there in Enies Lobby, we will be able to save Robin more easily."
Gojo nodded after hearing Zoro's words. He did not care whether the Straw Hats would be able to achieve their goals or not, but one thing was for sure—he was going to kill Spandam.
After this, everyone separated to prepare for the journey from Water 7 to Enies Lobby. Some went to gather supplies, some went to make arrangements, while others hurried off without wasting any more time.
Gojo also left. Currently, he was just wearing normal shorts and a normal shirt, his sleeping clothes. The cool night breeze brushed against his skin as he walked through the dimly lit streets of Water 7. He would have to change his clothes and also take his blindfold, which he was currently not wearing.
...
Gojo returned to the hotel in which he was staying.
As soon as he returned, he saw that the workers were already cleaning the mess inside the dining hall area where he had fought with Kumadori and Blueno. The whole area was wrecked. Broken tables and shattered chairs were piled to the side, while cracked wooden planks and pieces of debris still covered parts of the floor. Dust lingered in the air, and the smell of splintered wood was still strong.
The hotel manager was also standing nearby, guiding the workers to clean properly.
As soon as he saw Gojo returning, a fearful look appeared on his face, and it was totally understandable. After all, he had just seen moments ago how Gojo had ruthlessly killed a man. Not only that, he had cut off his head and taken it with him.
So, his fear toward Gojo was definitely not unwarranted.
Gojo also understood this.
He simply said, "Do not worry. As I had already promised you before, your compensation will be paid in full."
Then his eyes moved toward the ceiling area above. More specifically, toward the round hole in the ceiling, which was also the floor of his room on the first floor.
"As for my hotel room, let it remain like that. Keep it untouched. Just do some basic repairs to the floor which has broken."
The hotel manager could only nod after hearing Gojo's words. It was not like he could defy Gojo or something like that. Who knew if Gojo would suddenly swing the sword in his hand toward his neck and kill him in the next moment?
So he simply said, "Yes, yes, I will do that."
Gojo nodded.
Then, standing directly below the hole in the ceiling, he bent his knees slightly and jumped. In a single leap, he passed through the hole and directly appeared in his room above.
The room was still a mess from the earlier fight. Pieces of broken wood and dust were scattered around, and the floor near the hole was cracked badly. Moonlight entered quietly through the window, casting pale light across the damaged room.
Gojo immediately changed his clothes. He strapped his sword properly on his back and tied the blindfold around his eyes once again.
He wore his simple-looking clothes: a black jacket, black pants, black shoes, and a black blindfold.
As soon as he finished, he walked toward the window of the room and looked outside. The city of Water 7 was quieter now, with only the faint sound of water and wind.
Then he jumped from the window.
But he did not fall toward the ground. On the contrary, his body floated in the air, and he began flying toward the meeting location.
Of course, he did not know the name of the place of the meeting. Iceburg had wanted to tell him that before, but Gojo had not cared enough to ask.
With his Observation Haki, he could easily locate them.
Even now, he could clearly tell where Iceburg and the Straw Hats were, and so he simply moved in that direction through the cold night air.
