Chapter 101 - The Game!

Despite hearing my words, I could still see the desire to play the game, and this desire was more lethal than anything I had dealt with, so now I had some thoughts about the reality, and it was not looking that great, so thinking about the painful future, we started moving forward.

But Antak was still looking like he was still thinking about the same thing, but I chose to ignore his curiosity and still move forward, but after moving for some time, we looked at each other and sighed because, despite moving forward, we couldn't see anything new but rather the same corpses on the floor.

So seeing it, I gestured towards Antak to start moving towards the opposite side while I took care of the other side. Seeing my gesture, he grinned at me while speaking: 'Kid, ok, so now we can have that competition.' 'If we go in opposite directions, then that means we won't be coming in between each other's way, and we will able to quickly get out of from this stupid place, right?'

Hearing his words, I nodded while jumping towards the opposite side, and Antak also leaped forward. Well, this type of curse was surely more like an endless loop, where if people don't take cautious actions, then they will be forever trapped in such a curse for eternity; even in death, they won't be able to escape that loop without the permission of the caster of the curse.

So the best steps we can take are two: first, destruction, and second, diverse exploring. The destruction is quite simple: start destroying everything in your surroundings. The bigger the thing is, the harder it will become to again recreate, so the quantity and quality will greatly affect your progress.

Another method of diverse exploring is also quite simple: every person should start running in opposite directions. The more people there are, the more toll it will put on that caster, and due to the number of people and their exploring, it won't be able to hold on to the loop for long.

But there's a faster method to escape this thing, but it becomes more lethal than others; you would have to do both things altogether, destroying while running, but it is nowhere as simple as it sounds; the caster won't just sit down and let you have your way.

But rather, it will create blunders in your way; some might put up distractions, while some might start installing traps, or some might start creating predators in the loop for cleanup.

So if you are alone in the loop, then that means you just have to pick up a sturdy object and run to any side; you feel good, but don't ever think about stopping midway or the caster will put all three things on your back in its own insecurity.

Well, I was under the same condition as well, so I could give suggestions, but such loops are way too soul-shattering because the moment we started running, the spirit turned its entire attention towards me, giving me visuals of the things that shouldn't exist, seeing my own body from outside while living a peaceful life with my family.

But as I was moving while hitting my bat at everything in my path, I was seeing the visuals of creepy things, seeing my entire life in front of me, feeling the strings around my shoulders, making me feel like a puppet, and seeing how those strings controlled every second of my life.

Well, I knew that the visuals were mere illusions, but they were looking so real that even despite using my senses, I couldn't see the difference between them and real scenery.

The path disappeared in front of me; every wall, ceiling, and floor became nothing but just strange darkness. While there was nothing to see forward, I only had one role: to keep moving forward while swinging my bat.

But soon while running, my bat hit something, and due to the momentum and power of my bat, I managed to get past it, but I was sure that I hit something.

So, feeling such a strange sensation, I thought for some time while running, but then I remembered that this place also had traps that were being laid by the curse caster.

So feeling that the caster even fell to such a stage this quickly, well, I had expected it, but to think that it fell this quickly, it surely shows how Antak was performing on the other side.

Well, I would also be this insecure about my safety if I were standing against Antak, so I guess I was also moving on the right path, so I increased my pace of running and started relying on my instincts rather than my vision.

Soon instincts started to react to traps, and my body was following the instincts, so I was dodging every trap in my way till I heard something that clearly broke my pride in countless pieces.

The roar of death, the creepy roar with that maniacal laugh. There was no way I couldn't identify this roar; this roar was heard by me those years ago. These were gestures of this creep that he really lost himself in his bloodlust and his instincts to kill, but the issue was I could sense it coming my way.

So now the thing I was trying to ignore at my best again turned at me only. Antak was coming at me in his same maniacal state, and my instincts were screaming for me to just run away from him.

But I knew the moment I turned around, I wouldn't be ever able to escape this stupid loop and would be turned into nothing but a lab rat, so I took a deep breath while tightening my grip on my bat while dashing forward, and just the moment I dashed, I felt claws around my bat and forcing me back, flying with mere brute force.

So now I could feel how fragile human bones and nerves are; with a mere clash with him, I could feel the cracks in the bones of my wrists and forearms.
