While Silva was being a one-man army against the Catholic Church, the things back at camp were also moving at their own pace. Since Silva was not there, things moved with respect to the canon in most cases.
Annabeth was kidnapped, and Percy and Thalia were distraught with worry. More importantly, the Hunters of Artemis, who appeared later along with their Goddess, were even more worried as they realised that Silva had disappeared. Both sides decided it was better for the other not to know that they knew Silva's real identity. So everything went ahead like usual, with Artemis heading ahead to save Annabeth and Silva.
Meanwhile, Apollo drove them all to Camp Half-Blood.
After reaching the camp, the Hunters inspected their cabin and found out that it was clean. Plus, Silva might not have expected to disappear today, so he didn't remove every one of his items from the room, so the Hunters were able to find a few of them.
The most impressive thing they found was the sacks filled with monster parts that shook them to their core. Monsters leave parts of their bodies when they die. But the chances of this happening are less than forty percent. Unless the monster is well known throughout the world, like the Minotaur or Medusa, the rest of the monsters do not leave any spoils of battle unless the hero is really lucky.
And seeing the hundreds of monster parts, the Hunters could imagine the thousands Silva had killed to obtain all of them. They were planning on leaving a few monster parts they had hunted throughout the last few years, like they did last time. But now they felt a bit embarrassed, as it seemed like he would not have any use for them. So this time, they left knowledge about the world outside. Monsters hidden in regions with traps for their accidental visitors. Weapons and skills that have been lost to time itself.
For a few hours, they were able to forget about the problems they were currently facing and wholeheartedly created gifts for their Goddess's child. But after it was over, despair once again came upon them as they realised that Silva was currently missing. But they still decided to go on without showing any sort of trouble outside.
And during Capture the Flag, the Oracle came right in front of Zoe, waiting for her to ask the question.
Zoe wanted to ask about Artemis and where she was at first, but then remembered what her Goddess would want her to do if she were here.
She wanted to ask about Silva, but at the same time, she was now surrounded by the Greek campers, and revealing Silva's identity was unwise. So she decided to twist her words slightly.
"Where will I find the silver archer?" she asked, knowing that the demigods would think she was mentioning Artemis. And when the Oracle gave information about Silva, she could say she did not know that the boy who went missing had the same description. And then convincing the camp that finding the boy would lead to Artemis would be easy.
The Oracle slightly tilted her head as Zoe prayed inside her mind. The Oracle spoke the prophecy.
"Five shall go west to the goddess in chains, / One shall be lost in the land without rain, / The bane of Olympus shows the trail, / Campers and Hunters combined prevail, / The Titan's curse must one withstand, / And one shall perish by a parent's hand."
Zoe felt as if cold water was splattered on her face. Setting aside the ominous prophecy, knowing that her Goddess could be rescued made her glad. But at the same time, the prophecy having no mention of her child was making her thoughts spiral into a dark path. But she kept her emotions in.
'One thing at a time. Use what you have to rescue our Liege, and the rest can be figured out after that.'
The Oracle sat down, but before she went completely still, she spoke up once more.
"The blood of Artemis shall bend fate or break under it," it said before going completely still.
Every single person listening to it froze. It was the first time they had ever heard about the Oracle giving footnotes after a prophecy. Though most shook the confusion off their minds. The mummified Oracle was already weird. For it to start giving out footnotes was not a big deal.
But a few among the crowd knew what it meant. The Hunters paled as they realised Silva must be facing something worse if he had to go against fate. Percy and Thalia, too, realised it and had no idea what to do. Chiron had his brows furrowed, but he was checking the expressions shown by everyone. He was not surprised by the Hunters, as he knew that Artemis rarely kept secrets from them. But the expressions shown by Thalia and Percy made him realise that two more could be added to the list of people who had knowledge about Silva.
'At least they have the responsibility to keep their mouths shut about it,' he thought.
Then everything went without any changes again. The Hunters left while leaving one of their own who got injured by the pranksters of Hermes Cabin. Percy followed them as well until their paths crossed, and Zoe decided that Percy was part of the five who were supposed to rescue the Goddess.
Later on, their battles made them go through the same paths their canon timeline did, that is, until they reached Hoover Dam.
Here, while they were moving quickly through the crowd to escape from a group of monsters pursuing them, a hand came from the crowd, pulling Percy and Thalia towards a room nearby.
"What are you waiting for? Get in!!" she exclaimed while trying her best to keep her voice down. Grover's eyes widened as he looked at Rachel. But Zoe, on the other hand, felt that there was no choice with the monsters following them and decided to test her luck with the mortal girl who looked like she was trying to help them.
