Chapter 52 - Chapter 51 Hades

Just a few moments ago…..

Silva had dug slightly below the ground so as to show respect to the lord of the underworld. He had read many books about the specifics of getting the attention of gods by creating altars. But he had never read anything related to Hades. Maybe because the writers of the books might have thought that the kind of person who wants to summon the lord of the dead should not have the knowledge to summon him.

Or maybe because his children were on the side of the Nazis in the Second World War. Who knows.

"I beseech the lord of the dead, the first son of the Titan Rhea and the one who brought order to the chaos of the afterlife. I humbly request your attention to the troubles of this lowly demigod."

He didn't know the required chants, so he improvised and then burned a few monster parts he got from killing monsters on the way here.

Normally, he had to wait for a few minutes to receive any sort of feedback from these rituals. The gods were busy most of the time, and using this method is similar to giving a call on a mobile phone. They can either ignore it or, if interested, they can take a look at who was calling them before accepting it. But because of some reason or the other, the lord of the dead appeared within a matter of seconds.

As he completed the chant, the surroundings began to darken, and Silva felt a shiver pass through his spine. He felt as if he was standing in a graveyard with the dead rising all around him.

The altar he had built had an orange flame, but swiftly it transformed into dark violet and began radiating cold instead of warmth.

"It has been decades since someone has called upon my presence. Even though your ritual skills were not accurate, they were sincere. Rejoice, mortal, as I was—" Hades froze as his eyes landed on Silva.

His expression took a form of shock so loud that it paused all sounds around him. Even the changing flames and the darkness that surrounded him seemed to be losing their weight on his surroundings.

"You… how? How can you have the same aura as Artemis?" Hades asked with a shocked expression on his face. "She was destined to have no child due to being the goddess of maidenhood. You are not supposed to exist."

Hades had slightly noticed Silva when he made a vow last summer to prove that he was not the child of the Big Three. But he had only looked at the vow and the boy for a matter of a few seconds and was not bothered enough to check whose child it was that made the vow.

But now, he was trying to understand the anomaly that had summoned him to the mortal world.

"I would very much like to explain more in detail, my lord, but we don't have time. With the prophetic powers I gained when I was born, I can see the future that is about to happen. I need your help to have any chance of saving your daughter."

Hades's eyes immediately went serious. He cared about his children just as much as all the other gods did, and even more. He was about to start a war with Zeus all those years ago when Zeus killed the Di Angelos' mother. But the only thing that held him back was the fact that his children would be drawn into the war as well if he decided to do so.

"Go on," he said as Silva began explaining what he was about to do.

He told him about how Bianca was going to complete the part of the prophecy here in this large junkyard by stealing a figurine for Nico, and Silva needed help from the lord of the dead to extract her safely from inside the robot without alerting any of her members about the fact that she survived.

"Instead of breaking the prophecy, you are planning on bending it for saving my daughter. I have to ask, why?" Hades asked. With his experience, he believed that people didn't do anything for free. And he knew Silva had no personal relationship with Bianca to warrant such help.

"I do it because I can, don't worry. I won't ask for anything in return," Silva said as he looked straight at Hades. "I can swear on the River Styx."

Thunder rumbled in the sky, signalling that Styx had regarded what Karna had declared as the truth.

Hades closed his eyes for a moment as he took it all in.

"You shouldn't use Styx to make vows in such a frequent manner. It is unwise."

"But I thought as long as you keep the word you speak out while swearing on Styx, there was not any sort of problems, right?" Silva asked curiously.

"Well," Hades thought back to every time a god had broken a vow he or she had made while swearing on the Styx. And he realised keeping the word might actually please Styx even more.

"Let's get to the matter at hand. What do you need to save her?"

Silva asked for limited access to the shadow dimension, which Hades granted easily as a tattoo appeared on his hand.

Silva then used it to easily bring Bianca into the shadow dimension, where one of Hades's Furies was waiting to take her to a safe space.

Silva also advised Hades to keep Bianca in a safe space until at least when the prophecy of the Big Three is fulfilled. Like in the Lotus Hotel, where time stands still.

Hades decided instead to keep Bianca in the shadow dimension, where time is fluid and chaotic. Silva's plan has a small flaw, and that is Bianca's absence in the Underworld. But if Hades keeps her in the shadow dimension to train, she will not age, and at the same time, she will be able to communicate with the outside world in the form of a spectre.

A/N- hope you like it.
