Zave and Alex's figures cut through the still night. They bypassed several homes, some lit, others dark. Most of the elves had gone to the celebration, only a few stayed remained behind tending to small tasks.
The twins followed the scent of Matt and Paulo, gradually nearing the edge of the kingdom. They kept going, a sense of unease creeping in. They finally arrived at the tunnel they had used when entering the kingdom. The scent of the two was strongest here. Zave guessed they had too be be somewhere nearby—they couldn't have possibly left the elven kingdom…right?
The two exchanged glances before stepping inside the tunnel.
Back in the castle…
"Now, now, no need to make a big deal out of this, right?" Caelis stepped between Ryven and Lloyd, who were seconds away from tearing each other apart.
Lloyd folded his arms across his chest and cocked an eyebrow. "Why don't you tell him to mind his own business?"
