Over on Mireille's side, things were rather peaceful.
Mireille loved the elf kingdom with every passing second. She had learned a lot about how the elves lived just from walking through the elegant streets and quiet gardens with Ellie. Everywhere she looked there was something new to see.
The elven kingdom was unlike any place Mireille had ever visited. The buildings themselves seemed alive, grown rather than built. Tall structures curved upward like trees reaching for sunlight, their pale surfaces engraved with delicate patterns that shimmered faintly whenever light touched them. Bridges made from intertwining branches stretched across clear streams, and glowing flowers bloomed along pathways where soft grass replaced stone.
Even the air felt different.
It was fresh, filled with the scent of leaves and distant blossoms.
Mireille walked beside Ellie slowly, her eyes moving constantly as she tried to take everything in at once.
"This place is amazing," she said quietly.
