Chapter 696 - Chapter 695: Kara's Graduation Ceremony (Bonus Chapter for 50 Power Stones)

Hearing the secret his son had uncovered, Superman struggled to hold back laughter, his face turning red from the effort.

Seeing his father showing signs of illness, little Jonathan grabbed a stick from nearby. In his experience, overly excited people could usually be snapped out of it with one good whack.

Superman ignored his son's little gesture, smiling as he explained. "That guy in the black cape—he's got issues here." He pointed to his head.

He patted his son's shoulder. "Anti-Thea Armor—you're sure that's the name? Finally not Anti-Superman anymore?... I'm dying here..."

Seeing that little Jonathan still couldn't let it go, Superman added, "Don't worry, the black cape, Thea, and I are all good friends. You can safely be friends with Damian. Their family—uh, father and son—are good people."

Superman wanted to say Batman's whole family were good people, but thinking of Talia and Ra's al Ghul, he quickly changed his wording.

For the next few days, both father-son pairs ate and slept in the Batcave. Alfred the butler delivered meals on schedule. Superman's combat ability remained unchanged, but his fighting technique began rapidly improving. He didn't need to learn Batman's 127 martial arts—just distill from his training (beatings) a fighting style suited to himself and call it a success.

Meanwhile, Damian and little Jonathan's friendship gradually built. How do two boys build friendship together? Fight, of course!

Damian, trained by Thea for two years with both magic and martial arts, beat Jonathan—whose superpowers came and went—into the ground.

But in aerial combat, he was defeated.

Thea had once given him a flying mount captured on an alien planet—a crested head, colorful stripes on its body, and a twenty-meter (65-foot) wingspan. With her naming difficulties, Thea directly called it Phantom Drake.

Damian took the title Phantom Rider, but unfortunately, even though this drake was at the top of its planet's food chain, it couldn't match Krypto.

As a veteran member of the House of El, originally Superman's pet and now Jonathan's, Krypto was a genuine old dog!

No matter how formidable, the Phantom Drake was still just a beast—it was no match for the overpowered Kryptonian dog...

Time passed swiftly. Seven days flew by. The Superman father-son duo said goodbye to the Batman father-son duo. Superman sent his son back to his wife—he had to go improve his combat power.

Martial arts training just made him more agile. The amount of energy was his foundation.

After saying goodbye to his wife and son, Superman flew directly into the sun. He'd race against time to absorb energy.

...

Unaware of Batman targeting her, with her own slot in the Anti-X series armor finally secured, Thea pulled Diana on a road trip across America. Having just hung up a call, Damian had earnestly requested she find another flying beast on the phone.

After a little probing, Thea figured out the kid's purpose—he wanted to find a beast to compete with Krypto. This really stumped the young miss. To beat Krypto, you'd need at least a giant dragon-level creature.

While she was puzzling over this, another call came to her phone. After a lot of uh-huh-yeah responses, she hung up and turned to Diana. "Kara's attending her graduation ceremony. Want to go watch?"

Diana quite liked the adorable girl. Since they were wandering anyway, anywhere was fine. Let's go!

The two reached National City. Supergirl had lived in this city for several years. The Danvers family and Superman all hoped she'd continue studying, but Kara really wasn't that type.

Though Earth calculus was as easy as addition and subtraction to Kryptonians, the naturally study-averse Supergirl still resisted school. Now with graduation approaching, Kara planned to work directly—nothing would make her study anymore.

Ignoring math and physics, she chose the same profession as Superman—journalism after graduation.

Everyone was familiar. Thea and Diana didn't bring gifts, just knocked on the door.

"Come in, come in!" Seeing the two beautiful big sisters, Kara was pretty happy.

"You were vague on the phone asking us to help with something. What is it?" Thea sat on the sofa with some amusement and asked.

Kara removed her dorky glasses very seriously. "Graduation outfit. I want to wear something that shows my personality."

"Hehe." Diana covered her mouth and laughed. "I can't help with this—ask Thea. She has experience."

The young miss did have experience—she'd studied through her doctorate. She naturally took on this senior advisor role.

The bachelor's gown and cap were identical. Kara's university was always known for strict academic standards—they wouldn't do crazy attention-grabbing outfits at graduation.

Removing the standard gown and cap, the highlights showing personality were in the accessories.

With shares in several global jewelry and fashion conglomerates, Thea's fashion vision always stayed ahead of the times. Diana could also provide many suggestions combining traditional aesthetics with modern art.

Even if uncertain, they could call for help—no designer on Earth would dare refuse the young miss's call.

Hairstyle, headpiece, necklace, watch—everything confirmed. Kara was delighted with her look. Even she thought following Thea's design made her look even prettier. She couldn't be happier.

Five minutes later, her joy evaporated.

Thea held up her shoes, a bit stumped. Kara usually wore flat shoes—the occasional heeled pairs were chunky heels or wedges.

This girl had never worn stilettos... Wearing chunky or even flat shoes to graduation wasn't impossible—just lost points overall. Kara thought about it—once in a lifetime. Decision made: learn!

"I'll walk a couple steps for you. Watch carefully." More model than any model, Diana quickly changed into ten-centimeter (four-inch) stilettos, walking with elegant grace. Each step was slow and steady, ensuring Kara could see clearly.

Thea had long since lost the awkwardness of her learning days. The Soul divine seat's strength enhancement was minimal—speed was the main improvement. She was now confident she could race the Flash.

Able to move at high speed, her balance was terrifying. Wearing heels was like walking on flat ground—she even did a flip for Kara's shocked eyes.

After the two beautiful sisters demonstrated, it was Kara's turn. Supergirl nervously put on the stilettos. The two women supported her for a couple steps.

"Huh? Doesn't seem that hard. You can let go." Kara puffed her cheeks, cheering herself on.

Thea and Diana exchanged glances and simultaneously let go. Then they witnessed a horrifying scene.

With screams of "Ah! Ah!" Kara went head-first to the floor. The girl was probably nervous and didn't control her strength—she directly smashed a human-shaped crater into the floor...
