It was proven. It was definitely proven.
Kita's vision was blurred, and her mind held only one thought: Is the President even human?
Aside from Kita, Ryo was also stunned. She had assumed Mashiro used a bunch of fake fluids to tease her, and that Rin would only add a little real stuff at the end. She hadn't expected it to be real from the very start!
The thought of Mashiro squirting that fresh, warm load directly onto her face and body made Ryo's skin crawl. She felt as if something was literally trying to burrow into her skin.
Although she wanted to be a "kept woman" and rebelliously engage in the "debauchery" people associated with bands, she definitely didn't want to get pregnant. Even if her logic told her that just rubbing against the outside wouldn't do it, she couldn't help but worry.
If Ryo was struggling, it was ten times worse for Kita, who had taken the full blast to the face because her brain had stalled. Snapping back to reality, Kita didn't scream—not because she didn't want to, but because her lips were coated. If she opened her mouth, she'd definitely swallow it... in fact, some had already slipped in.
Kita stood up, wiped her eyes so she could see, and bolted for the bathroom. Nijika shot a look at Ryo and followed her.
Finding Kita hunched over the sink, practically burying her head in the basin, Nijika handed her wet wipes and tissues to clean the mess. Luckily, Kita had the sense not to use hot water, or her red hair would have turned into a "tomato and egg soup" of curdled protein.
After a long while, Kita finally scrubbed her face and uniform clean. She took a long, shaky breath and looked at Nijika. Her amber eyes were red-rimmed from the scrubbing and filled with a complex, swirling emotion. The usually energetic girl looked wilted.
"Um... Nijika-senpai," Kita whispered. "You didn't seem very surprised. I-is this... is this normal for people in a band?"
Seeing Nijika's troubled expression, Kita waved her hands frantically. "I-I'm sorry! I'm not trying to judge! I just want to know if this... if this is how it is?"
Kita had fallen in love with the idea of a band after seeing Ryo's free-spirited street performance. She'd searched for Ryo's school and joined up, knowing nothing about the music world. Like Ryo's parents, Kita had some stereotypes in her head—news stories about band members taking drugs or licking poisonous frogs for "inspiration," or gossip about orgies and unplanned pregnancies.
She'd been scared of these stereotypes but had prepared herself mentally because of her admiration for Ryo. Since joining, she'd only seen hard work at the Starry live house, which made her relax. But now... it seemed the stereotypes were right after all.
Ryo-senpai and Bocchi were so proactive... especially Bocchi, who even wore special "victory" lingerie.
Nijika lowered her head and fidgeted with her fingers. "Well... it's not your fault. The truth is... some bands are like that."
Stereotypes existed for a reason. Nijika had heard plenty of stories from other bands at the live house, even if she and Ryo had never participated. If Rin heard this, he'd just shrug—the underground scene was exactly as depraved as people thought.
"But our band isn't like that," Nijika continued. "The President... he's a good person. Ryo and Bocchi... they both seem to have feelings for him."
Nijika knew Bocchi's heart; she wouldn't have gone to the island otherwise. As for Ryo... it might not be deep love yet, but there was definitely attraction.
"And his girlfriend doesn't mind... so... I didn't have a reason to stop them. Plus..." Nijika peeked out of the bathroom to ensure the hallway was empty, then lowered her voice, blushing. "Ryo's parents seem to really approve of him."
Even though stealing a boyfriend wasn't "good," Nijika felt she had to support her friend. But now, Ryo was being misunderstood by her junior as a total slut!
"I saw it online," Kita said, her voice trembling with a mix of shame and excitement. "It's called... the union of soul and body? It helps write better music, right?"
Kita balled her fists. She admired Ryo because Ryo broke the rules of a boring, normal life. Her philosophy—to discard your personality is to die—spoke to Kita. Kita wanted to escape the "normie" trap.
"Let's go back," Kita said, psyching herself up. "Even Bocchi, who usually turns into a slug from social anxiety, is working so hard. I can't fall behind!"
"No... it's not like that..." Nijika watched Kita's determined back and felt like crying. It's over. In Kita's eyes, I'm probably a depraved pervert now too!
