A hair-like tentacle slammed Rin against the wall, jolting him into unconsciousness. When he finally stirred, he found himself suspended in mid-air, bound tightly in chains. The voice of the maze echoed around him, chilling and taunting, "Enjoy your last minute of freedom." Suddenly, wine-red tendrils emerged from the walls, piercing through Rin's chest and burrowing deeper into his body, a dark intrusion that felt both foreign and sinister. As the maze's soul seeped into the darkest recesses of Rin's being, it ventured into the hollow void where a soul should reside. There, in that desolate chamber, she spotted a young girl—the essence of the maze itself. Once innocent, she had been marred by the world's cruelty, a haunting reminder of lost purity amidst relentless darkness.
A surge of joy flooded through her as she embraced her long-lost freedom, unshackled from everything that once bound her. Eager to explore her new form, she willed her body to move, but instead, a dazzling web of white threads began to weave around her. The maze before her was disorienting, but in that moment, she didn't care; freedom was within her grasp. With a sense of thrill, she reached out to touch the shimmering threads that surrounded her. Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted as the threads pierced into the soul of the maze, feeding on its very essence. Panic erupted within the walls crafted from shadows and uncertainty. The shimmering threads began to cling to her, unravelling her spirit in a chaotic dance. She screamed, a raw sound of agony escaping her lips, tears welling in her eyes as an abyss opened before her. From the depths of that void, a monstrous presence emerged, devouring the remnants of the maze's soul. The thrill of freedom mingled with the terror of the unknown, leaving her suspended between ecstasy and despair.
The maze began to collapse, its walls crumbling under the overwhelming chaos as the secondary systems failed. Rin struggled to stay upright but eventually fell to the ground, his gaze landing on a key glinting in the dim light. He grasped the key tightly, clutching it along with his sword, and forced himself to his feet, every movement sending sharp pain radiating through his injured body. The maze's original form was in a frenzy, a monstrous force attacking everything in its path. With no choice left, Rin pushed through the agony and started to run, determination burning in his eyes. Meanwhile, seven of his companions, each caught in their own frantic escape, found themselves converging in the maze's heart. They exchanged desperate glances, noting the tattered state of their clothes, and wasted no time in bolting forward. "Everyone got the keys?" Alex shouted, urgency lacing her voice. The others nodded, their expressions a mix of fear and resolve.Suddenly, the maze's original essence began to gather remnants of flesh, merging them into a towering, grotesque creature that towered over them at two meters tall. It rampaged through the maze, demolishing walls, and unleashed a deadly toxin that melted everything in its wake—moving relentlessly towards Rin and his friends."Over there!" Daniel yelled, pointing toward a massive door looming in the distance. As they sprinted towards it, hope surged through them. Upon reaching the door, everyone frantically drew out their keys and searched for the keyhole. "There!" Sam exclaimed, spotting the opening. The monstrous entity was closing in fast, but adrenaline propelled them forward. As they inserted their keys, the thunderous door began to creak open. They dashed through the opening, urgency driving their every motion. Rin was the last to make it, the creature's massive hand swinging dangerously close behind him. In a final desperate move, he yanked the key from the door just as it began to close. The monster's enormous arm was caught in the doorway, severed as Rin slipped through to safety. Heart racing, he leaned against the cool wall, breathless but alive, the echoes of the maze's chaos fading behind him.
