Third Person's POV
Roman lowered his head and smirked. Should he really do that?
How? How was he supposed to get rid of Rafael? Frame him? Destroy him? Kill him?
The truth was, even when they were kids, Roman had always been the one to back down whenever they fought.
Viona had seen it as kindness. She liked him for it. She liked that he was patient, that he didn't lose his temper when Rafael provoked him.
But deep down, Roman had always known the truth.
He was afraid.
And he knew he would lose to Rafael in every way they fought.
Rafael… if only he hadn't shown up on that wedding day, would Viona still be with him? If she had then told him she was pregnant with his child, would he have had a reason to leave Vivian? Maybe everything would have gone back to where it belonged.
Roman lifted his gaze and locked eyes with Viona.
Cold.
Loathing.
Distant.
It felt familiar.
He drew in a sharp breath.
It was the same look she had given him that night. The night he betrayed her.
