Chapter 87 - Chapter 87 - Two new works?

I'll post an extra chapter every 300 Power Stones. Good luck with that!

Goal for the next extra chapter: 220/300

I asked Rina to bring me some water and something to eat, and she returned shortly afterward with both. I asked her if I could leave the hospital today, but she said the doctors would only allow me to leave tomorrow.

So I'd have to spend the night in the hospital.

'I don't like this environment.'

After eating, I lay back down and picked up my phone to browse social media for a while since I had nothing else to do. I also wanted to find out whether people were talking about what had happened to me.

Rina told me that I hadn't collapsed in the middle of the classroom or anything like that. Instead, my classmate who sits next to me, Mirai, noticed something was wrong and alerted the teacher. Once they realized I was completely unconscious, they called an ambulance.

I opened Twitter and noticed my name was trending, just as I expected.

There were countless news posts about me fainting at school and being rushed to the hospital. I let out a sigh before my lips curved into a smile.

"Rina, can I make a post about what happened? Or will the agency handle it?"

"It would be good if you made a post on your personal account," Rina said while sitting beside the bed.

"Alright."

So I wrote a post telling all my fans that everything was fine and that I had only fainted from exhaustion and because I skipped breakfast. I also informed them that the doctors hadn't found anything wrong with my body.

After posting on Twitter, I copied the text and posted it on Instagram as well, but this time I took a picture of myself smiling to prove that I was okay.

'My expression looks much better now.'

After making the posts, I closed my eyes to try sleeping a little.

However, Rina suddenly said,

"Your mother and father are already in Japan. Daiki is bringing them here directly."

"You sent Daiki to the airport?"

"They're your parents, you know?"

"I know. I was just surprised."

Some time later, my mother and father arrived at the hospital. Rina had already informed them about the test results, so they were calm. However, my mother's concern was still obvious.

I still remember my mother's expression back then… when she found out I had a brain tumor.

She tried to act as if nothing was wrong, but she couldn't hide her fear.

"It's alright, Mom. I'll be more careful from now on."

I never want to see her make that expression again.

I really should stop staying up late and start eating properly, huh?

Soon after, Rina went home, while my father and mother stayed in the room with me until tomorrow.

"I'm sorry. I ruined your trip," I said.

"Don't say that! You're far more important than an anniversary trip, Kyo!"

"Your mother is right, Kyo," my father said with a smile.

I looked up at the ceiling and said,

"You two should go travel again tomorrow. You both need to enjoy life a little."

"Forget that. I'm not leaving your side for at least three whole days. We can postpone the trip. We can all go together instead, right?"

"Yes, exactly. We could visit Korea. Didn't you want to see Korea, Kyo?"

"Me?... Well, I guess so?"

We kept talking until I fell asleep.

When I woke up the next day, I received clean clothes and got into the car driven by Daiki together with my mother and father.

I ran into journalists who wanted to speak with me, but I immediately refused the interview.

Inside the car, I sent Miu a message telling her I was already heading home, and I also informed Aoi Hoshino that we could meet today.

'This is a good opportunity to make a hit song.'

When I arrived home, it was already one in the afternoon. My mother went to prepare lunch while I headed to my computer.

I sent an email to Kuroda and also to Kenji, my two editors. I wanted to make it clear that what happened would not affect my work.

I decided to tell them that I fainted from exhaustion because I had been getting many chapters and volumes done in advance to focus on my acting career and other things. I didn't tell them that I already had all the volumes and chapters completed, but I did say that I had many prepared.

After sending the emails, I opened Twitter and Instagram to take a look around.

A lot of people were wishing me luck with my recovery, including fellow authors and actors. Aya Fuji, Keiko Fujimura, and other actors working with me on Piece of My Heart had commented as well.

I smiled before sending a message to Rina asking when the next shootings would be.

It's already been almost a week since I filmed anything.

'Well, I don't really have that many scenes…'

Rina replied shortly afterward and said there were shootings scheduled for next week, almost on the same day Dragon Ball would begin serialization.

[And be careful from now on. Don't stay up all night, and try to take a little better care of your diet. Even if you have a good body, eating poorly still affects your health.]

[Alright, I'll be careful with that. Oh, and could you find a good gym for me? Preferably one used by celebrities. It would be good for making connections.]

[I can do that, but why all of a sudden?]

[My body is good, but it's far from ideal. Besides improving my appearance, it'll also make me healthier.]

[Alright, I'll take care of it.]

[Thanks, Rina.]

After finishing my conversation with Rina, I looked at the 20 completed volumes of Tensura I had.

'Should I send the first volume to Kuroda? I still intend to write two extra volumes…'

But just as the entity said, I should be doing far more things…

The more different works I create, the larger my audience will become, and consequently, the more fame I'll gain.

I should write something for a female audience, then something for children, and so on…

'Oregairu appeals to both female and male audiences, but most of the works I've created so far are aimed at men. That's why so few girls showed up at my school.'

The ones who did show up came because of my acting "career" and my appearance.

'I think I'll start two new projects. A new novel and a new manga. But I need to create a routine so I don't faint from exhaustion again…'

I'm not going to spend hours writing nonstop anymore.

But what should I write?
