(Snape's Class)
Harry was completely calm as he waited for everyone to clear out of the potions classroom because it was time to take care of some personal demons, "Harry are you okay." Daphne said nervously as she noticed Harry had stayed behind.
"I'm fine. I just have something to discuss with Professor Snape." Harry said calmly.
Daphne was slightly worried but realized that if Harry wanted to talk to Snape after everything that happened, he had his reasons and she would trust him, "Alright" Daphne replied as she left with everyone else. Before long, he was alone with the surly Professor who raised his eyebrow.
"Given that you're intentionally speaking to me, I assume this isn't a normal conversation." Snape said calmly as he stayed at his desk. Of all people to willingly speak with him. Harry Potter was the last name he expected.
"It isn't and before you hex me, please hear what I have to say." Harry replied.
Snape braced himself because he knew this would be bad, "Go on." Snape growled.
"Do you have any of the Draught of Living Death available."
"Why on earth would you need that." Snape glared.
This was the moment of truth for Harry, "I have a plan to deal with Pettigrew and it involves using the Draught of Living Death." Harry replied.
Snape took a series of deep breaths to calm himself since he wanted Pettigrew dead almost as much as Potter, "Unfortunately I do not have any of the Draught right now, but you will have some in a few days. The question is how do you intend to get the potion without anybody being suspicious?" Snape wondered.
"That's easy. I just need to get detention with you, and you can hand it to me during then." Harry replied.
"Very well. Just don't do anything too dangerous." Snape replied calmly.
"Don't you trust me." Harry smiled.
Snape gave him a flat voice, "I went to school for 12 years with your father and godfather, so no." Snape deadpanned.
Harry chuckled because that was a surprisingly good point, "Give me a little credit Professor. Getting a simple detention is easy" Harry replied with a smile before leaving.
Once Harry was gone Snape smiled, "At last Lily… you will get your revenge." Snape smiled as he went to get the ingredients for the Draught.

There was an odd tension as Harry sat down for breakfast between Hermione and Lavender, "Is everything okay guys." Harry smiled.
"Everything is fine but before we got into our usual conversation, I had something important I wanted to say." Daphne said calmly.
Harry raised his eyebrow at that, "What's up."
"Well… I'm ready to take my spot in your bed." Daphne replied nervously.
Harry was pleasantly surprised by that considering Daphne was the holdout of his old guard, "Alright. Let's meet up tomorrow night and."

Dumbledore was caught between concern and amusement since there was clearly a reason for this, but this could also end badly.
"Calm down Daphne. I don't want to drop you on the table and mess up your robes" Harry simply smiled as he continued to spin her around. "Now unless you two wish to eat like that, I believe Miss Greengrass should return to her seat." Snape said with a wry smile.

Snape took out his wand and with a swish moved everything away from the middle of the room, bringing up platforms for them to use. "Remember that this duel will end when one of you is disarmed or unable to continue."

"Let's do this" Draco sneered. Off to the side Pansy Crabbe and Goyle watched curiously while Tracey and the Carrow sisters watched eagerly. Most of the people that were here weren't a surprise but the Carrow twins certainly were. Given that this was Daphne's idea she clearly had a reason, but he'd worry about that later.

Harry's romp with Daphne had the wonderful side effect of causing Harry to wake up without his roommates in the room Saturday morning. "Couldn't have planned it out better if I tried." Knowing his buddies could be back anytime he quickly closed the jug and the closet without alerting its occupant to what happened. Harry quickly banished the empty vial and got onto his bed just as Ron Dean and Seamus walked in managing to make it appear as though he just woke up.
"Look who finally woke up." Dean teased.
"Yep, and you guys look like you're in a good mood." Harry smiled.
"Get this. Parvati came over and asked me if she wanted to hang out sometime." Dean said happily.
"What about Marietta." Harry wondered since the plan was for Dean to go with Marietta.
"Marietta had somebody she liked and before you ask no it's not you." Dean chuckled.
Harry had a chuckle of his own, "So who's the lucky guy" Harry asked curiously.
"Me!" Seamus smiled.
Harry's eyes widened, "No kidding."
"Not at all. Now the only one in our group that's single is me." Ron pouted before going over to his closet to grab Scabbers water and feed his rat.
"I'm sure you'll find somebody buddy. Take Daphne's advice and stop focusing on food to start." Harry said calmly. This was the moment of truth.
"Thanks Harry." Ron sighed as he poured the water into his rat's bowl watching with a smile as Scabbers opened his eyes and walked over to get a drink.
"Maybe you should get a different animal mate. I mean a rat is kind of weird." Dean suggested replied.
"It's a family Pet mate. He used to be Percy's and he gave him to me this year since he got an owl for making Prefect. My dad isn't loaded like some other families and considering my younger sister is going to start next year money is tight." Ron frowned.
"If that was your brother's how long have you had that bloody thing for" Seamus asked in shock.
"9 years or so" Ron said calmly.
Dean and Seamus were shocked and even Harry was pleasantly surprised, "Seriously mate. Most rats don't last more than 3." Dean frowned.
"Maybe it's because he's around tons of magic." Ron shrugged before going to grab Scabbers food now that he knew his rat had some water.
"I'm not so sure since I'm pretty sure that applies to rats raised for wizards also." Seamus frowned.
Ron grabbed Scabbers food and went back to feed him, "Well I guess Scabbers is spe-" Ron froze because Scabbers wasn't moving, and he just woke up from his nap.
"Ron… is everything okay." Dean said calmly.
Ron reached into the cage and shook his rat, but nothing happened causing a tear to form on his face, "No I'm not Dean. Scabbers… Scabbers is dead." Ron said tearfully.
"What!!"
"How!!!" Seamus and Dean gasped. Not even a minute ago Scabbers was drinking water.
"I don't know but… he's gone." Ron said solemnly as he went over to his bed and collapsed with grief.
"Do you want me to tell the twins." Harry said in a comforting voice.
"Yeah." Ron replied trying to stay calm but struggling.
"Okay. I'll be right back." Harry replied.
"Got it."
"We'll be here with Ron." Seamus and Dean said warmly as they went to comfort Ron.
Harry nodded before walking out of the room with a smile on his face, "Goodbye Peter you rotten bastard." Harry whispered gleefully as he quickly changed his expression since he couldn't look happy as he revealed what happened. Making his way to the common room, he quickly found the twins chatting with their friend Lee.
"What's up Harrykins."
"Is everything okay." Fred and George said calmly, noticing the solemn expression on his face.
"I'm afraid not boys. Scabbers just passed away." Harry said calmly causing the whole dorm to freeze.
"I see." Fred said solemnly. George was equally bothered.
"Fred I'll check on Ronnykins. You tell Percy since I'm sure he'll want to know." Geroge said calmly.
"Right" Fred frowned as he climbed up to the tower while George went to find their brother. The mood in the common room was noticeably worse since pretty much everyone felt for Ron at the moment. While most agreed that having a pet rat was weird, the thought of losing their pet hurt and Gryffindor would rally around Ron Weasley because of it.

My original plan was to have the events from last chapter based around the weekend but that won't quite work since Halloween is on a Thursday. (Hogwarts)
A smiling Harry Potter stood in the middle of the empty field that moments ago was the sight of a makeshift funeral for Scabbers the rat. It was admittedly a moving ceremony, attended by most of the Gryffindor dorm and a few stragglers who saw a large portion of the Gryffindor Dorm walking outside and wondered what was going on. Percy was in charge and he and the Weasley's gave funny stories about the rat that made you forget that it was well… a rat. "You know, I almost feel bad for desecrating this grave since it was such a moving ceremony." Harry chuckled having doubled back while everyone was walking up.
"It was. Shame that the person they were honoring doesn't deserve the kind words that were spoken about him." Susan Bones chuckled next to him. Susan was with Harry because he needed her for the final phase of his current plan. It would also serve as cover since most people were aware of his relationship with Susan.
"Yep, and now to ensure nobody suspects a thing." Harry smiled as he used his wand to separate the dirt and pull out the box that contained Scabbers. Opening his robe, he put the box in a side pocket that he temporarily expanded. With Scabbers secured he took some of the dirt and transfigured it into an identical box before placing it back in the grave and covering it up.
"This was a very Slytherin thing to do Harry. Don't make a habit of it." Susan teased.
"Unless there are other animals hiding as death eaters I won't need to." Harry smirked.
"Prat" Susan teased.
"Hey it's the truth." Harry smiled as the pair made their way back into the school and towards the Hufflepuff dorm.
"Let's go because Aunty will be waiting." Susan smiled. The pair quickly arrived at the dorm and Harry looked away while Susan took care of the unique code to open the door. Once it was open the duo walked in.
Harry took the moment to appreciate the room, "The Room of Requirement doesn't do this room justice. It truly is beautiful." Harry smiled. There were a few students, but nobody said anything at least to them as they walked through.
Susan blushed since they did use the common room for the fun with Hannah, but she quickly focused on the task at hand walking off to the side where the Dorm's Floo fireplace was located. Grabbing some powder she tossed it and said, "Amelia Bones office" and the Floo lit up.
After walking through the fireplace, the pair found themselves in the office of the head of the DMLE Amelia Bones who was sitting at her office with a smile. "It's been a while Harry but let's get down to business." Amelia Bones said calmly trying to hide her excitement. Amelia was an older version of Susan with her long red hair flowing down her body and wearing the black robes of the Wizengamot which was the magical court of law in England.
"Here you go." Harry smiled as he pulled out the box and opened it up to reveal Scabbers still in the near-death state from the potion.
Amelia Bones grabbed the rat and put him on the floor, "You used the Draught of Living Death on him, correct."
"Yes." Harry replied.
"Good. Now back up because this is about to get interesting" Amelia said calmly before reaching for her wand. Harry and Susan backed up as Susan's aunt recited a small chant and after a small flash of light, Scabbers the rat became Peter Pettigrew.
Amelia Bone's expression went glacial as she saw the newly revealed man, "You two return to Hogwarts. From here this is a DMLE matter and a messy one at that."
"Right" Susan replied knowing just how hard the DMLE worked to solve this case. The Death of Harry's parents, and the torturing of the Longbottom family were two massive stains on the DMLE and now they could fix one of them.
"Thanks Madam Bones." Harry smiled.
"If anybody deserves thanks it's you. With this Lily and James Potter can truly be avenged." Amelia smiled.
"They sure can" Harry smiled.

Harry woke up with a massive smile on his face because he could actually enjoy Halloween for once knowing that his parent's killer was dead, "How are you doing Harry." Ron said calmly.
"I should be asking you that" Harry replied. Even after he came back Ron was still visibly upset. The fact he was up this early was further proof he wasn't taking this well.
"It's weird. I resented Scabbers because it was a reminder of my family and their situation but now… now I kind of miss the bloke." Ron admitted.
"Tell ya what mate. How about I buy you an owl for Christmas." Harry suggested.
Ron was shocked that Harry would do such a thing, "Would you really." Ron said happily.
"Yep." Harry smiled. He felt slightly guilty for killing Scabbers, even if he wasn't a real rat.
"Hey guys if you're done talking let's go to the Great Hall and get some breakfast." Seamus spoke up.
"Right" Ron smiled. The guys walked over to the Hall together and sat down at their usual spots. So far, the only ones there were the guys, but that was fine by Harry."
"How are you this morning Harrykins." Fred said in a brotherly tone. It made sense since they knew about his history with Halloween.
"I'm fine and thanks for asking." Harry replied.
"Alright" Fred replied calmly.
"Hey Fred, do you have any advice on a date spot within the school? I've got a date with Parvati this weekend and I need something to do." Dean spoke up catching the boys off guard.
Fred seemed to think about it for a second before sighing, "Without Hogsmeade I can't think of much." Fred admitted.
"Luckily for you guys, I can." Harry smiled. He needed something to get his mind off Scabbers and playing cupid for his boys suited him perfectly.
"What's that" Dean asked curiously.
"On the Seventh Floor right in front of the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy, there's a hidden place called the Room of Requirement. After walking back and forth in front of it a few times, the door will be revealed." Harry answered.
Dean looked very intrigued, but Ron was confused, "That's cool but what's so special about this room." Ron wondered.
"The Room can become anything you want." Harry replied.
"Anything!?" Dean asked in disbelief.
"Yes anything. I've used it quite a bit myself and trust me you can have some fun with it." Harry smirked.
"Sounds like a blast." Dean said happily because knowing that Harry used it was enough for him.
"You'll have to tell me how it goes mate. Me and Mari are going to borrow some brooms and go flying around the pitch. She likes flying also so we'll just go flying and have some lunch." Seamus said happily.
"Wicked." Dean smiled.
'Well good luck guys." Harry smiled.
"Thanks Harry. Hope you don't mind us borrowing your spot." Dean chuckled.
"It's not my spot. I just use it a lot." Harry shrugged.
"Right" Dean chuckled, and everyone was all smiles except for Ron.
"What's so funny boys." Hermione smiled as she approached along with the other girls.
"We were just talking about where to go for dates since we can't go to Hogsmeade yet." Harry smiled.
"Speak for yourself Harrykins. We're going next weekend." Fred smiled. Hogsmeade weekends didn't start till the second week of the November so students could get used to classes without that distraction and as third years they were finally eligible.
"It's going to be awesome." George said happily.
"Make sure to tell us about it" Daphne smiled as the girls all took their spots.
"Well I know Seamus doesn't need a spot since he and Mari have a flying date this weekend" Cho smiled.
"Yup. I can't wait." Seamus smiled.
"Considering the company how about I give Dean some advice for Parvati." Hermione smiled.
"PLEASE!" Dean begged as he looked over towards the Indian witch who waved at him with a classic grin.
"Not to interrupt but I told Dean about a room that can be anything you want that would be a perfect spot." Harry revealed.
"That sounds amazing." Hermione said with stars in her voice.
"Knowing you you'd just make it into a library Hermione." Daphne scoffed.
"Really Daphne" Lavender chuckled.
"It's the truth." Daphne shrugged.
"That's not true' Hermione pouted, and everyone smiled at the antics.
"It actually is." Lavender pointed out.
Hermione was a bit frustrated, "Do you want my advice or not Dean."
"Yes! Yes! Please do. I want this to work with Parvati." Dean smiled.
"In that case listen up because as her roommates me and Lavender can tell you just what to do." Hermione smiled.
As Hermione and Lavender helped Dean prepare for his date, Harry smiled because this Halloween was already off to a great start.

Approaching the Potions classroom Harry was a bit nervous. Just as they were about to leave breakfast, Daphne asked him to meet her in the Potions classroom once class was over. Since she was going for her Potions Mastery, and he was her partner, it wasn't a big deal but that was surprisingly last minute. Arriving at the classroom he found Daphne waiting just outside. "Oh good you made it." Daphne replied.

"You were taking too long to come in." Flora and Hestia Carrow said respectively.

"Professor McGonagall is getting close." Flora revealed.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you two, but Amelia Bones needs to talk to you immediately. There's a Floo in Professor Dumbledore's office for you to use."
"Thank you." Harry smiled before he left leaving a frowning Daphne alone.

"I trust it wasn't too difficult to find Mr. Potter Minerva" Dumbledore smiled.
"Mr. Weasley told me where he was, and admittedly I was rather glad I found him with his clothes on" McGonagall smiled while Harry rolled his eyes.

'Thanks Professor, hopefully this won't take long." Harry said calmly before entering the Floo. He would worry about how much of his activities were known later.
Moments later he was in Amelia Bones's office as the redheaded witch gave him a troubled glance, "We have a bit of a situation Harry." Amelia frowned.
"What happened." Harry wondered.
"When I searched Peter after you and Susan left, I found his wand, but I also found a hidden compartment in his robes."
Harry narrowed his eyes, "What was in that compartment."
"A second wand and it wasn't Peter's."
"Whose wand was… you're not saying." Harry gasped as he realized something completely unreal.
"That's right. The wand he had in that secret compartment belonged to the Dark Lord himself. He must've taken it during the confusion of what happened" Amelia revealed.
Harry's eyes widened because that changed everything. Originally, they were going to say that the D.O.M had been secretly tracking Peter and when they found him, he was brought in and questioned by them before being tossed in the veil. A trial would expose the fact he was at Hogwarts as the Weasley's rat and that would cause chaos, "We can still complete the plan. Fudge can't question Croaker anyway."
"Yes, but we both know that Peter having Voldemort's wand meant he knew something that others did not."
"Does it really matter. Worst case the D.O.M can still interrogate him, and we can release the results if it comes to it."
Amelia frowned, "I know but… what about the wand." Amelia replied.
"Toss it through the veil also. Look me in the eye and tell me if Sirius wasn't as careful as he was, he wouldn't be sitting in Azkaban right now without a trial." Harry replied. The fact they almost did wasn't lost on him.
Amelia frowned, "I know but."
"Justice is a beautiful thing Amelia, but you're forgetting another important thing. The Wizengamot is filled with people who are only there because they claimed that tripe about the Imperius. The last thing we need is Pettigrew free on the same excuse."
"I know but."
"If we do a normal trial, Peter goes free and the Weasley's will learn they lived with a Death eater for at least 9 years. This way Croaker can hide the stuff that would make us look bad and if anything horrible is discovered you can control the narrative. You are one of the most honest and honorable people I know but this is a time for deception."
Amelia frowned, "I don't like it, but you're right." Amelia replied.
"Thank you." Harry smiled.
"No Harry thank you. Peter's punishment is a long time coming."

To the surprise of nobody most of the room was panicking, but Dumbledore quickly got involved, "SILENCE!!!" and the students calmed down, "Now. All Prefects take your students back to the dorms. Meanwhile the staff will begin the search for the troll." Dumbledore ordered.
As everyone started to move Harry Fred and George stayed together, "We're going to get Ron right." Fred whispered as Percy gathered everyone. Ron was missing and had no idea about the troll.
'Yup." Harry replied.
'Are you guys crazy! Trolls aren't exactly easy to deal with." Lavender whispered harshly having overheard him.
Harry could understand, "Despite his issues Ron is my friend, and I owe it to him to make sure he's okay." Harry smiled.
"Plus, he's our brother."
"And we have to protect him." Fred and George smiled.
"Just be careful." Hermione whispered.
"Right" the boys smiled, and they quickly made a plan.
Percy proceeded to gather everyone together and escort them back to the hall as Harry Fred and George stayed at the back. For this to work they needed to sneak away when Percy wasn't looking. Thankfully Percy would be too focused on doing his job to pay attention and they could sneak away. As they got closer to the tower, Harry Fred and George waited for Percy to turn a corner before pausing as everyone else walked back.

Fred did the same, "Point me Ronald Weasley" Using the locator spell the trio quickly discovered that Ron was in the 2nd Floor boy's bathroom, but the troll wasn't far behind.
"We gotta get going boys." George said firmly.
"Right" Harry and Fred replied. Running back to the stairs they made their way to the bathroom in question and quickly opened the door.
"Ronnykins are you there." Fred shouted.

"To save your arse from a mountain troll that somehow got into the school." George shouted.
"Say what!" Ron panicked and opened the stall to walk out.
"Talk later. We need to get out of here." Harry shouted.

"So what's the plan." Ron said nervously. It was well known that trolls were extremely difficult to deal with for most students.
Harry and the twins looked at each other before smiling. "We stop this thing." Harry said calmly.
"Right." Fred smiled before grabbing his wand.
"Let's do this Harrykins." George smiled.
"Are you guys crazy. That's a bloody mountain troll." Ron said in disbelief.
Fred George and Harry looked at Ron before shrugging, "We solemnly swear that we are up to no good." the boys said together.
"You guys are insane but alright. If you've got a plan, I'll leave it to you guys." Ron sighed as he stayed in the bathroom for safety.
The trio had their wands ready to go as the troll approached. "Ugly thing isn't he."
"Yep." Fred and George nodded.
"Thankfully we know just how to deal with them." Harry smirked. Sirius took special interest in the twins due to their love of pranking and even went through drills to deal with unusual scenarios. Once the troll was close enough, the three boys pointed their wands at the troll and shouted, "PETRIFICUS TOTALAS" as loud as possible. Troll's hides were extremely thick so most offensive spells wouldn't work. Thankfully the Body Bind would and considering the extra power the boys put in, they were able to paralyze it and cause it to drop to the floor with the club off to the side.
"Wicked" Ron gasped.
"Now's not the time to be impressed Ronnykins. This won't hold for long, so we need you to go to the stairwell behind us and send red sparks. Hopefully somebody finds them, and we can stay safe.
"Right" Ron said quickly before walking behind them to alert the Professors.
"He's an idiot, isn't he?" Harry smiled.
"Yep, but he's our idiot." Fred chuckled.
"And wouldn't have it any other way. George smiled.
"Now that we've stopped the troll there's just one question." Harry frowned.
"You mean."
"How the bloody hell a troll got into the school when it's tough even getting Butterbeer inside." Fred and George scowled. Hogwarts had special wards to prevent outsiders from getting in and mountain trolls were certainly dangerous enough that they would be locked.
"That and the equally important question. Who would bring it in and why" Harry frowned. Something about this stunk.
(Scene Skip)
The good news for Harry was that the teachers got to them not long after Ron sent out the sparks since the troll's thud was loud enough. The bad news was that their actions were reckless and cost the boys 300 points and a weekly detention for the next 2 months for each of them. In truth it wasn't a big deal, and the boys would do it again to protect Ron. With that settled it was lecture time as Harry Ron and the Weasley twins gathered in Harry and Ron's room,
"What the hell happened Ronnykins."
"Nobody could find your arse." Fred and George shouted.
"You wanna know what happened. I was once again reminded of just how alone I am." Ron growled.
"Explain." Fred said with a stern glare.
"After class was over, I decided to go for a walk to distract myself because of everything that happened. During the walk, I ran into this cute 1st year Ravenclaw named Sue Li and introduced myself… just for her to ask me about Harry." Ron twitched.
Harry could only wince at that revelation, but the two Weasley brothers smiled, "So you're saying Ronnykins would be all better if he could find a girl of his own." Fred smiled.
"That would help." Ron pouted.
"Luckily for you we've got just the girl in mind." George said happily.
Ron looked at his brothers with hope in his eyes, "Really!"
"Yup. Our third Chaser Katie Bell is currently single and she's looking for somebody." Fred smiled.
"She's cute" Ron smiled having seen her walk around with Angelina and Alicia.
"If you want our girls can put in a good word for you." George finished.
"Your girls!" Ron gasped unaware that his brother's had girlfriends.
"Yup. I'm with Angelina." Fred smiled.
"And I'm with Alicia." George added with a grin.
"So what do you think Ronnykins."
"Would you like us to help" Fred and George smiled.
"That would be awesome. Thanks guys." Ron smiled before his stomach started to rumble.
"I take it somebody's hungry." Harry chuckled.
"Yup. I… kinda missed the feast because I was sulking." Ron sighed.
Harry Fred and George smiled, "Let's go see if the Professor will let us grab a bite." Harry smiled.
"Okay" Ron said happily, a smile on his face.
As the group walked down, Harry couldn't help but smile. Peter was gone, Halloween wasn't an utter disaster and with Ron getting a girlfriend he wouldn't be the whiny idiot he usually was. Things were coming up Harry Potter.
Notes:
• Neverean pointed out that I could've had Peter arrested like many others have but here's the thing. By killing him secretly you avoid dealing with two headaches. 1. Having to address peter living with the Weasley the whole time which some people do, and in some cases to unpleasant affect, and some do not. 2. Scabbers purpose with Sirius alive and with Harry drops significantly so getting rid of him just makes sense. It makes Goblet of Fire a bit more interesting but only a bit.
• Susan stayed behind for three reasons. 1. Because he needed her for Amelia. 2. Because it gave him a built-in excuse for why he didn't come back to the dorm in case anybody questioned it. 3. It was hilarious to have him go into Hufflepuff and remind Susan about their tryst there.
• The Carrow twins scene was to set the stage for their entry. No I won't have Harry take Pansy.
• The scene with Parvati was just a bit of fun and awkwardness.
