Chapter 3014 - Ch: 101–105

Chapter 101: True Dragon Calculus

Returning to the villa, Hodu walked straight to the living room.

Longjiao didn't know how long it had stayed here, and it looked like it hadn't closed its eyes the whole time.

Hodu took out the Philosopher's Stone from his money pouch, and before he could speak, Longjiao turned its head over with a weird expression on its face.

It sniffed hard, its small eyeballs rolling back and forth on Hodu, and finally landing on the Philosopher's Stone.

The next second, the game controller was tossed aside, and Longjiao used all four of its limbs, moving so fast that it was almost invisible, rushing right in front of Hodu in the blink of an eye.

Hodu reflexively leaned back, pulling the Philosopher's Stone behind him to prevent this old turtle from swallowing it in one gulp.

"This smell... I haven't smelled it in many years. It's a bit like the one on my old man."

Longjiao didn't open its mouth to bite as Hodu had worried; instead, it showed a reminiscent expression and muttered thoughtfully.

These words moved Hodu's heart—could the Philosopher's Stone actually be related to a True Dragon?

But he wasn't in a hurry to believe it completely, so he simply pressed on with questions.

"Could this be the dragon ball from your old man?"

Hodu made a bold guess; after all, this kind of thing was indeed rare, and it wouldn't be strange if it really had some heaven-shaking background.

Who would have thought that Longjiao would roll its eyes, its expression clearly showing disdain as to how Hoducould have such a thought.

Hodu's eyes narrowed slightly.

This old turtle was quite arrogant.

He took a step forward and stepped directly onto Longjiao's turtle shell.

The ceramic tiles on the villa's floor shattered instantly, and the cracks darted in all directions like a spiderweb.

Longjiao had always felt that bearing the heavy weights of the world was a breeze for it, but at this moment its expression changed, turning ashen, then flashing red and purple, staring at Hodu in utter shock.

Just as it wanted to say something, Hodu's eyes flashed, and the force under his feet became a bit heavier.

The ground that was still barely supporting collapsed abruptly, and Longjiao's entire body was forcefully stepped into the ground.

You must know that Longjiao claimed to be able to bear all weights; even if it carried a mountain and danced on thin, brittle glass, it wouldn't leak a single bit of force.

If at first it could explain it as being off-guard, then this situation now completely defied explanation.

It clearly felt that Hodu's foot was much heavier than a mountain, which was simply outrageous.

When it felt that its turtle shell could no longer hold up, that foot finally moved away from the shell.

After a long while, Longjiao crawled out from the pit, looking at Hodu in disbelief, its eyes filled with astonishment.

Hodu, on the other hand, looked calm. With a casual wave of his hand, the cracks on the ground returned to their original state, as if everything just now had been an illusion.

"Tell me about the origin of this Philosopher's Stone."

Hodu didn't explain much. He casually sat down on the sofa and continued to interrogate it; that kick just now was merely to show off his skills to Longjiao.

This trick really worked.

Before this, in Longjiao's eyes, Hodu was just a somewhat magical little Wizard. If it weren't for being served good food and drinks, it would have already found a way to run away, though it might not necessarily have escaped.

Now Hodu's image in its heart suddenly became mysterious.

Longjiao even began to ponder wildly, suspecting that Hodu was not a Wizard at all and probably had a much bigger background. It muttered inwardly, wondering if its old man had hooked up with some human before leaving, thus giving birth to such a formidable fellow.

Thinking was thinking, but Longjiao wasn't stupid enough to ask directly. Its attitude became much more honest, and its gaze fell on the Philosopher's Stone being tossed back and forth in Hodu's hand.

"As for things like dragon balls, I've never heard my old man mention them."

"However, I've learned some things from your human culture. I can't say for sure whether my old man had a dragon ball on him, but this thing is definitely not a dragon ball."

"According to my understanding, a dragon ball is the condensation of a dragon's power, and this Philosopher's Stone doesn't reach that caliber yet."

When Longjiao talked about its old man, that restrained look became arrogant again, leaving Hodu speechless for a moment.

"I smelled my old man's aura on this Philosopher's Stone. Although it's very faint, it definitely came from my old man."

"According to you humans, it's at most a piece of calculus from my old man."

Longjiao introduced it sneakily. Hearing this, Hodu's face stiffened, and he almost flung the Philosopher's Stone in his hand away.

"You're not playing games with me, are you?"

An image involuntarily formed in Hodu's mind, and he vaguely felt it was somewhat credible, except he didn't know which part of the True Dragon's body this calculus grew on.

Let it not be a kidney stone...

He forcibly endured the disgust and didn't throw away the Philosopher's Stone, but his face was filled with disdain as he placed it on the table.

A stream of clear water emerged out of thin air, rolling back and forth in Hodu's palm.

With a shift of his thought, the spring water instantly condensed into a water arrow, shooting out fiercely, passing through the crack of the window, and landing on the ground outside.

"Because I have it on me too."

The Dragon Turtle seemed to have guessed that Hoduwould ask this. It grinned, and the next second opened its mouth wide, retched, and spat out a stone covered in mucus.

Hodu watched with his brows furrowed tightly.

"Every once in a while, stones like this pop up in my body, which is very uncomfortable. Spitting it out now feels much better."

"Don't underestimate this calculus; you Wizards flock to it, and some even take it to brew Potions and drink."

"In my view, only creatures with powerful magic produce this kind of thing. It's mostly because there's a problem with the circulation of magic inside the body, and the magic condenses into a solid entity."

Longjiao was clearly deliberately disgusting Hodu, picking disgusting examples to tell, which could be considered revenge for that kick just now.

Hodu was indeed disgusted, because the possibility mentioned by Longjiao was quite high, and there were even plenty of Wizards who picked up this kind of thing, treating it as precious material to make into a Potion and drink it down.

Moreover, most Potion really came about this way.

However, upon second thought, if he had known earlier that the Philosopher's Stone came from a True Dragon, why bother spending so much effort to find the True Dragon's remains? Merely fusing with this Philosopher's Stone would have been enough.

The problem was that back then, he couldn't fuse item-type things, and subconsciously he had always regarded the Philosopher's Stone as an alchemical treasure, so he had never tried.

Besides, the traits gained from fusing the Philosopher's Stone had nothing to do with a True Dragon at all. The system introduction only treated it as a Philosopher's Stone, not as a True Dragon.

Seen this way, this kind of calculus was not the same as biological tissue and could not be fused as part of a True Dragon.

Thinking of this, Hodu felt much relieved; the effort he spent before wasn't in vain.

It's just that since the Philosopher's Stone had this kind of origin, would the exclusive quest it triggered also be a bit improper?

Hodu pondered secretly in his heart, his gaze falling on the mucus-covered stone on the ground, and his brows furrowed again.

The next moment, a small water dragon condensed in the air, only about a meter long, yet lifelike, making Longjiao's eyes straighten.

The small water dragon pounced towards the stone on the ground, quickly enveloping it entirely. Its body circled in the air a few times, and in the blink of an eye, it turned into a whirlpool, washing the stone back and forth inside.

Not knowing how many times it washed, the whirlpool turned back into the small water dragon, threw the stone onto the ground, and flew out of the window.

The stone landed on the ground, but it completely changed its appearance, revealing its true shape—a black transparent crystal stone.

Hodu narrowed his eyes, and just to be safe, cast Scourgify on this crystal a few more times, before reaching out his hand, and the crystal flew directly into his hand.

At this very moment, Hodu felt that the progress of the Philosopher's Stone's exclusive quest had increased by a notch.

Now his little guess in his heart was completely confirmed; Longjiao hadn't lied. The unique raw material of this Philosopher's Stone was indeed the calculus inside a True Dragon's body.

In other words, wanting to make a second Philosopher's Stone was now utterly impossible.

After verifying his conjecture, Hodu casually tossed the crystal in his hand back to Longjiao.

He had no interest in keeping things spit out from the Dragon Turtle's mouth.

He himself took the Philosopher's Stone and went up to the second floor.

Entering the study, Hodu casually placed the Philosopher's Stone on the bookshelf.

Now he didn't have to worry about things getting lost anymore.

As for the remaining time, of course it was to thoroughly enjoy this vacation.

Days passed by quickly, and the sun outside was already hanging high. Hodu put down the game controller in his hand, and the table next to him was in a mess, piled with various snack boxes.

He stood up and stretched, pointing casually. A whirlwind swept directly across, and all the garbage on the table was swept into the trash can, making the desktop clean in the blink of an eye.

Hodu strolled to the second-floor bedroom and stood in front of the full-length mirror to examine himself.

The person in the mirror flickered, changed appearance, and quickly changed back.

He couldn't be bothered to continue messing around into someone else's face.

Changing his appearance back then was, when all was said and done, because his strength was insufficient and he wanted to avoid some trouble. There was no need for that now.

The Eternal Dragon Body alone gave him ample confidence.

However, this set of clothes really needed to be changed.

Hodu looked at himself in the mirror and thought for a moment.

With a thought, the clothes on his body instantly turned into a long robe.

Seeing the scholar-like appearance in the mirror, Hodunodded with satisfaction, a trace of a smile appearing at the corners of his mouth.

Today was the last day of the Wizards Federation's events, and he still had to hurry to attend the banquet. How could he not change into a decent set of clothes?

After all, the people he was going to meet were prominent figures in the Magical World here, especially the Yu Family, who had always had their eyes on his blood, as well as the so-called "main family", the Huo Family.

Earlier, Huo Yunqi had already told him the general location of the Yu Family.

Hodu used Treasure Perception, combined with Apparition, and easily found the Wizard settlement where the Yu Family was located.

However, he only determined the location and didn't directly Apparate over. Instead, he turned to the bedroom balcony, looking at the clear sky outside.

The next moment, he stepped on the balcony railing, leaped out, and shot out quickly like a cannonball.

This was precisely that ability from the True Dragon, Soaring through the Sky.

With the Eternal Dragon Body supporting him, this bit of headwind was nothing at all; instead, it was like a sharp sword, cleaving the air completely apart.

Chapter 102: An Uninvited Guest Descending from the Sky

The Yu Family village had been sealed off for so long, and this was the first time it had thrown its doors wide open.

Only Wizards of the Five Families and members of the Wizards Federation were allowed in; everyone else was turned away without exception.

The Wizards Federation thing could be considered a top-priority event in the Magical World, discussing topics closely related to Wizards, and every time it was held, it felt like a festival.

The Wizards outside the Yu Family village who couldn't get in weren't idle either; they surrounded the entire clan territory tightly and toured it like a tourist attraction, and the Yu Family was happy to see this commotion.

Someone had calculated that every time the Federation was held, the turnover of shops in the host location could multiply several times over, and the whole village shared in the benefits.

Huo Yunqi wedged himself into the crowd, stretching his neck out long and shaking his head from side to side looking for something.

Several pairs of eyes in the dark were watching his every move.

The whole business about Hodu had long since spread among the Five Great Families, and the stumble the Bai Family took was still fresh—their eldest son was gone just like that; who wouldn't be terrified upon hearing that?

"Cousin, will he really come?"

The young woman beside Huo Yunqi reached out and gave him a pull.

"What are you talking nonsense for? When did I ever say he would come?"

Huo Yunqi was so anxious he almost jumped up, swearing up and down that he hadn't leaked a word to anyone about the possibility of Hodu showing up.

"Still pretending? The entire Magical World has spread the word. The Yu Family has a grudge against that person, which is why they scrambled to host this Federation to use momentum to suppress others. But it's already the third day, and it breaks up this afternoon, yet not even a shadow of a person has been seen. Could it be that he's chickened out?"

The young woman completely ignored Huo Yunqi's defense. Besides, his anxious, monkey-like demeanor had probably long since been spotted by those paying attention. Who didn't know that Huo Yunqi was close to that person? His current posturing of searching the entire venue for someone was tantamount to explicitly telling others that that person was coming.

Huo Yunqi's face turned dark on the spot.

"Fifteenth Sister, don't run your mouth just because we're close. It's best to let certain thoughts rot in your stomach."

His tone was kept extremely low, and his heart felt ice-cold. His paternal cousin actually dared to say that person was afraid—that was the master who single-handedly shook the Bai Family; the word 'fear' had nothing to do with him. If these words spread, heaven knew how much trouble the Huo Family would get into.

But he could do nothing about her; the others in the Huo Family were of the same virtue. Having never witnessed Hodu's methods with their own eyes, they always felt that the things circulating outside were heavily exaggerated.

The Bai Family was now keeping this matter tightly under wraps, sealing it as top secret. Of the words spoken by those present at the time, how many people could actually believe them? After all, in the minds of most people, no matter how strong a Wizard was, just how strong could they possibly get?

Huo Yunqi asked himself in his heart: if he hadn't witnessed Hodu's weird and bizarre abilities with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed it either. Wizards weren't immortals; could they really single-handedly take down tens of thousands of Wizards?

To speak from the bottom of his heart, Huo Yunqi had no confidence at this moment. He wasn't sure whether Hoduwould actually come, which was why he was anxious.

The gazes cast from around him made his spine tighten. He immediately reined in his expression, knowing that his appearance just now had already fallen into the eyes of those paying attention, and as he was calculating how to bluff his way through it, an uproar suddenly exploded by his ears.

He turned his head to look, and everyone on the street had their necks tilted back, mouths wide enough to stuff an egg into, their faces full of shock.

"What is that thing?!"

Huo Yunqi followed suit and looked up. A faintly glowing cyclone was smashing straight down from the sky.

"Could that be a meteorite?!"

A student's face turned pale as things taught in Muggle general knowledge classes popped into his mind.

"Go call the Patriarch quickly!"

Several Wizards of the Yu Family couldn't stand still anymore and shouted at the top of their lungs; judging by its trajectory, it looked like it was coming straight for them.

According to that Muggle theory, some meteorites could raze a city to the ground. They didn't know how much destructive power this one had, but it was enough to make their hearts leap into their throats.

The Yu Family's reaction was shockingly fast. Before long, all the big shots in the ancestral hall swarmed out, every single member of the Federation was present, and the Patriarchs of the Five Families had all arrived.

What grand scenes hadn't this bunch of people seen? Yet when they looked up, their expressions still changed—the younger generations of their respective families were all right here; this was purely an unprovoked disaster falling from the skies.

Except for the Yu Family, the Patriarchs of the other families exchanged glances, each having made up their mind, and whispered instructions to their confidants beside them.

Patriarch of the Yu Family knew like a mirror in his heart what those people wanted to do by leaving in such a hurry.

But the Yu Family's roots were right here. Trying to evacuate all clan members in a short period of time was out of the question; even Apparition wouldn't be useful.

Even if he could protect the Yu Family's elite, once he abandoned the rest of the clan members, the Yu Family's position among the Five Great Families would come to an end.

"Pass it down! The Yu Family will fight to the death and not retreat! As long as anyone can use magic, give them all Banishment Curses and Slowing Curses!"

Patriarch of the Yu Family roared in a low, suppressed voice.

If it were any other natural disaster, they might still have a bit of certainty, but a meteorite was simply too fast; no one dared to guarantee whether magic could hit it.

It was true that protective magic was laid out in the clan territory, but magic wasn't omnipotent, and it was even harder to say when encountering a natural disaster.

"Hope, I beg you to step in. If this meteorite smashes down, the entire Magical World will suffer!"

Patriarch of the Yu Family could only turn to the Federation President, Hope.

Hope, whose full head of white hair was combed into a slicked-back style, tilted his face upward, his brows knitted tightly together as if he hadn't heard.

Patriarch of the Yu Family was so angry he could almost bite his teeth into pieces, but he still had to lower his head and plead again. As long as Hope spoke up to organize resistance, more Wizards could be pulled in.

Hope still didn't react, looking as if he were having a senior moment.

A young man walked over briskly, drawing the gazes of quite a few Federation members.

This person was a Muggle, but his position was not low—he was the Secretary-General of the Federation, who usually handled routine affairs and was Hope's confidant.

"Hope, it has been verified. No meteorite fall was monitored over there, and even after we provided the specific location, nothing was observed. It might not be a meteorite."

Hope only made a move after hearing these words, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Do you look at it and think it's a meteorite?"

He asked casually, and the ears of the several Patriarchs beside him all perked up. Patriarch of the Yu Family's heart gave an even heavier thud; Hope couldn't have said that without reason—could it really not be a meteorite?

"As far as I know, it doesn't look like one. And to be honest, I haven't seen the meteorite you all are talking about."

The Secretary-General also looked up at the sky and shook his head, his tone flat and calm without the slightest sense of tension of a meteorite crashing down. He hadn't seen anything, perhaps because he was a Muggle.

Everyone present was stunned. How could such an obvious cyclone be invisible unless one was blind?

"Right? I don't think it looks like one either."

Hope nodded gently.

Patriarch of the Yu Family's brows were furrowed so deeply they could crush a fly to death. If it wasn't a meteorite, what else could it be? But seeing Hope like this, he knew he could only rely on himself and continued to arrange things methodically.

Having said a bunch of things, in reality, only a short moment had passed.

From time to time in the clan territory, Wizards cast Apparition to evacuate people, and some stepped on a peach wood sword to fly away.

Most of those who left were Wizards of other surnames; the Wizards of the Yu surname mostly stayed behind. Clutching magic fans one by one, their palms full of sweat, they stared at the sky.

The Yu Family didn't put all their eggs in one basket either; basically, all the children were evacuated, leaving behind the adults preparing for battle.

Huo Yunqi was also taken away by adult Wizards.

At this moment in the Yu Family clan territory, only the Wizards of the Yu surname and the Federation members remained.

That bunch from the Federation wasn't prepared to live and die with the Yu Family; they simply saw that Hopehadn't left and wanted to wait a little longer. Anyway, most of them knew Apparition, so they weren't pressed for a moment or two. Besides, they also wanted to know whether this thing was really a meteorite.

Time passed bit by bit, and they suddenly noticed that the "meteorite" was decelerating.

The cyclone dissipated accordingly, and what was revealed inside wasn't a stone, but a human figure.

The Wizards present suddenly exploded into a commotion, the sound waves surging like a tsunami, all staring wide-eyed at the sky.

The ordinary Wizards outside the Yu Family village let out a long breath—it was good that it wasn't a natural disaster—only to realize that their backs were already soaked with cold sweat.

The people inside the village had different thoughts; compared to a meteorite, that figure made one's scalp tingle even more.

"How is that possible?!"

The chins of the Federation members almost dropped to the ground as they cried out in shock.

A person!

The most outrageous part was this—how could it possibly be a person!

The person up in the sky was naturally Hodu, who had activated his stealth trait so that Muggles couldn't see him.

From afar, he caught sight of the scenery of the Yu Familyvillage: a group of ant-like figures below were all tilting their heads up to look at him, clutching magic fans in their hands, looking as if they were about to wage a century-shattering war against him.

Ants could bite an elephant to death if there were enough of them, but the gap between him and this group of Wizards was simply not something ants and elephants could compare to.

Hodu had no idea at all that he had been mistaken for a meteorite. Seeing this welcoming formation, he let out a cold snort, slowly decelerated, and withdrew the cyclone swirling in front of him.

He stopped above the Yu Family clan territory; this distance was enough for them to see clearly.

"Who is this?"

"How is it a kid?"

The Wizards below chattered in confusion, sizing up Hoduin the sky with shock and uncertainty.

Even the Bai Family Wizards who had crossed paths with Hodu and lost everything didn't recognize him, because this time Hodu was using his own face.

Chapter 103: A Word Changes the Heavens: Torrential Rain Presses on the City, the Human Race's First WizardAppears

A massive crowd of Wizards stood below. Without even lifting a hand and with just a thought in Hodu's mind, the clear sky was instantly piled with dark clouds without the slightest sign.

Daytime instantly turned into night, and the thick clouds completely blocked out the sky.

The magic lamps in the Yu Family grounds lit up on their own, but not a single Wizard felt warm; their hearts were entirely cold.

What kind of method was this?!

These elite Wizards present turned everything in their brains completely upside down, yet none of them could match it to anything.

There was such a thing as rain-summoning magic, but how could there be anything so absurd?

magic was magic, and Wizards were Wizards; this was neither immortal arts nor immortals.

Since when could magic directly manipulate celestial phenomena? The thick, heavy dark clouds filled the sky to the brim; could this even be called magic?

Patriarch of the Yu Family's face turned pale. The moment he clearly saw that the thing in the sky was not a meteorite but a human figure, his heart skipped a beat.

If it were a natural disaster, that would be one thing, but if it were a person, they definitely came with ill intent!

The glaring lights in the village made his eyes blur. He shook his head and only then discovered that all around were gazes cast towards him, some full of pity, and others simply watching the commotion without fearing it was too big.

This wasn't a natural disaster, but a man-made calamity, and it had nothing to do with Wizards outside the Yu Family.

Tap, tap, tap!

Pea-sized raindrops smashed down, and in the blink of an eye, the Yu Family grounds were soaked in a torrential downpour.

If one looked closely, they would find that this rain fell entirely on this specific area of the Yu Family grounds.

Most of the Wizards stood motionlessly in the rain, staring at Hodu in the sky as if facing a formidable enemy.

The young Secretary-General didn't know when he had procured two umbrellas, and with a pop, he opened them, blocking a portion of the heavy rain.

"Your Excellency has descended upon our Yu FamilyVillage. I wonder what brings you here? If you have any requests, the Yu Family will spare no effort to assist; if there is any misunderstanding, the Yu Family is also willing to resolve it with all our strength."

Patriarch of the Yu Family shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice carrying across the entire clan grounds under the enhancement of magic.

No matter how one listened to these words, it was an admission of defeat, but not a single Wizard from the other families laughed at him.

If it were themselves up there, they would have to kneel out of respect first.

Based solely on this ability to manipulate celestial phenomena, one could tell that this person had long since exceeded the scope of magic.

The Bai Family Wizards looked at this method and found it somewhat familiar; the unscarred wounds on their bodies began to faintly ache again.

"Hmph, a misunderstanding? Aren't you all discussing how to deal with me?!"

Hodu let out a cold snort, his voice rolling across the heaven and earth like thunder.

"Your Excellency is joking. We have no enmity or grievance with Your Excellency, how could we do such a thing?"

Seeing that the newcomer was willing to talk, Patriarch of the Yu Family breathed a sigh of relief, his face piled with smiles as he hurriedly explained.

Whether it was a misunderstanding or not, nobody knew, but right now, it could only be a misunderstanding.

"Heh, no enmity or grievance? You coveted my blood and refuse to return it, yet you put up such a massive battle formation. And you say it's a misunderstanding?!"

No emotion could be heard in Hodu's voice, but matched with the torrential rain and the lightning flashing from the dark clouds out of nowhere, it was as if the Lord of Heaven was flying into a rage.

As soon as these words came out, the Bai Family Wizards reacted the fastest, primarily because they were far too sensitive to the two words "blood".

Last time, they had taken a massive tumble over blood.

Patriarch Bai's face turned cold from being drenched by the rain as he stared at that figure in the sky; the pain of losing a son was still carved deep into his bones to this day.

Although the one who struck was not Hodu, tracing the matter back to its roots, it was inextricably linked to Hodu.

"It's you…"

Patriarch of the Yu Family was only at this moment able to understand why the other party had come, and his face changed in a flash.

To truly speak of how big the misunderstanding was, there really wasn't much of one.

The Wizards Federation indeed had an agenda regarding how to deal with this audacious Wizard, except it was scheduled as the very last item for this afternoon.

Who could have expected the main character to make his entrance in this fashion?

"Your Excellency has truly misunderstood. That drop of blood was consumed during testing beforehand; it truly wasn't that we intentionally refused to return it. To show our sincerity, the Yu Family is willing to open our clan treasury and let Your Excellency choose at will to compensate for the losses!"

Patriarch of the Yu Family's voice was steady and firm, his words spoken with passion and fervor.

This speech, even if listened to by the majority of the Wizards present, could not be faulted for any flaws—it was full of sincerity.

Of course, that was on the premise that they did not know what that drop of blood actually was.

Patriarch Bai watched this scene with a cold sneer in his heart.

He was the very first not to believe this set of words meant to fool fools.

It sounded full of sincerity, but which of those pieces of junk in the Yu Family's treasury could compare to that drop of blood?

This was plainly taking advantage.

Hodu didn't take up the conversation, and instead, the torrential rain became even more ferocious.

Before long, the accumulated water on the ground had submerged ankles.

The Yu Family grounds originally had some drainage facilities, which were no problem for weathering small winds and waves.

But right now, those river channels were completely blocked off by mud and dirt.

Not only the channels, but even the ordinary roads had been quietly built into walls by Hodu using excavated earth and stones, turning the entire village into a seamless basin.

"Young friend, if you have anything to say, why not sit down and talk slowly? I've prepared some good tea leaves here, care to try some?"

Hope spoke with a chuckle, wanting to ease the atmosphere a bit.

Hodu looked over in the direction of the voice and immediately spotted two people standing out distinctively in the torrential rain, both holding umbrellas.

The young man beside Hope was still holding a canister of tea leaves in his hand.

There really were tea leaves!

Hodu was slightly stunned.

Not just him, but the Wizards watching the show on the side were also impressed—this Secretary-General truly was a talent; to be able to bring tea leaves at a juncture like this, he was truly worthy of his profession.

"This wouldn't be a Feast at Hongmen, would it? I heard that your Wizards Federation is currently preparing to discuss how to deal with me."

A mocking expression carried on the corners of Hodu's mouth.

Just as his voice fell, the accumulated water on the ground violently churned up, whipping up a wave that swept the surrounding Wizards inside, and with a single flick, threw them all out.

This trick made everyone's hearts leap with fright.

Not just those few unlucky ones, but the accumulated water beneath their own feet also began to stir restlessly, as if it would pounce up at any moment.

A question popped up in everyone's heart: Is this really magic?

Yet no one could give themselves an answer.

"Your Excellency is joking. I guarantee in the name of the president of the Wizards Federation that this time it is simply a peace talk. I will try my best to stand from a neutral position, how about that?"

Hope acted as if he didn't see the undercurrent-surging accumulated water, his face still maintaining that gentle smile as he lowered his voice.

"Fine, then I'll try some."

Hodu let out a chuckle.

The exact moment his words fell, the torrential rain stopped just like that.

But the dark clouds did not disperse, lingering outside the city like armor-clad heavenly soldiers, pressing down so hard that people could barely breathe.

The next moment, Hodu slowly descended, walking right into the crowd of Wizards by himself.

Facing those hands clutching magic fans, there wasn't a trace of unease on his face; on the contrary, he was extremely at ease.

"Then let's go sit in the Yu Family ancestral hall. Patriarch of the Yu Family, you don't have any objections, do you?"

Hope's tone was amiable as he turned his head to confirm with Patriarch of the Yu Family.

"Of course no problem, everything will be as Hope says."

Patriarch of the Yu Family slightly lowered his head, considering it accepting this favor.

How could he dare to have any objections right now? It was also fortunate that Hope was willing to step out and mediate, otherwise he truly didn't know what kind of chaos things would turn into.

He had already lowered his stance enough, even tossing out words like opening the clan treasury wide, yet Hodustill refused to buy it.

Had it not been for that cautionary tale of the Bai Family, as a dignified Patriarch of the Yu Family, he wouldn't have chickened out to this extent.

The scene shifted, and the ancestral hall was filled with Wizards.

The place was like a classroom, with the federation members all crammed below the stage, and only four people on the stage.

Hope and Hodu sat on the left and right respectively, Patriarch of the Yu Family sat on the seat on the side closer to Hope, and the young Secretary-General stood beside them, personally pouring tea for them.

Drinking tea was just an excuse.

The cup of hot tea in front of Hodu was emitting white steam, but he had no intention of actually drinking it.

"...Is Your Excellency truly a member of the Huo Family, as the rumors say?"

Hope was not in a rush to discuss business, first checking into Hodu's background.

As soon as these words were uttered, the Huo Clan head within the pile of Wizards stretched his neck out involuntarily, meticulously sizing up that ridiculously young kid.

Looking at his appearance and calculating his age, he really could be his third younger brother's child.

Looking closer, between the brows there indeed was some resemblance.

"Not quite a member of the Huo Family either, since I'm not on the family tree after all."

Hodu answered generously and openly.

Reaching this step, he wasn't afraid of his origins leaking out either.

The Huo Clan head felt his heartbeat stop for a fraction of a second, wishing he could stand up on the spot and write Hodu's name back onto the family tree.

With a figure like this placed in their Huo Clan, wouldn't they directly become the number one major clan?

The position of clan head might not necessarily be given, but all other positions were completely up for negotiation.

"Mm, but when all is said and done, we're still family. Looking at your age, you should still be in school, right?"

Hope nodded gently and continued asking downward.

"Indeed, studying abroad, my grades aren't considered too good."

Hodu confessed honestly.

Almost all the Wizards below the stage had their mouths twitch—if his grades were truly bad, then how overwhelmingly powerful would someone with good grades have to be?

"Is that so? Any interest in coming to the United Academy? It can definitely make your grades even better."

Hope wore an amiable expression.

It was only at this moment that everyone reacted to his calculations, cursing him in their hearts as shameless—he actually wanted to pull this great deity into his own camp right in front of them.

If he really managed to pull it off, would these families of theirs ever have a day to rise up in the future?

Had it not been for being restrained by that trick the person in the sky had just revealed, someone would have already jumped out to object.

But right now, not a single person dared to interrupt; nobody wanted to bring disaster upon their own family.

Reject him!

The Wizards from these families could only stare fixedly at Hodu, silently praying in their hearts.

"Heh."

Hodu directly laughed out loud, looking at Hope with a half-smile.

Hope didn't seem to care about losing face either, meeting his gaze with a normal expression.

In the end, it was Hodu who couldn't hold on first.

"I have no interest in being a student. Why don't you hand your position over to me, and I might consider it."

Hodu lost in the contest of thick-skinnedness, but still locked in a struggle inside, he turned the tables on him.

"Alright."

Nobody expected that Hope wouldn't even think about it and agreed on the spot.

Hodu's gaze flickered, feeling that this president truly had some tricks up his sleeve.

Though losing the person, he wouldn't lose the front; yet in terms of momentum, he had fallen short by a notch first.

"What I'm talking about isn't the academy Dean, it's the president of the Federation."

Hodu could only bite the bullet and push forward, not wanting to fall behind in momentum.

"I know."

Hope nodded with an amiable face, a single sentence directly blocking all his words.

Hodu fell completely silent.

If he agreed, he didn't want to sit in that position; if he didn't agree, it would make everything just now look like pure bluster.

Chapter 104: Losing Even Your Underwear in This Gamble

There was silence in the ancestral hall for a moment.

Hope held his teacup, sipping it slowly one sip at a time, not rushing in the slightest.

"Fine, we'll withdraw it right now."

Hodu stared at his breezy, nonchalant smile, his voice turning cold.

"The procedures always take a few days, but I can guarantee that you will sit in the president's seat."

Hope put down his teacup and smiled, giving a definitive answer.

The expressions of all the Wizards off the stage changed drastically.

At first, they thought Hope was joking, but right now it looked like he was being serious.

If they really let this lunatic sit in the president's seat, what hope could the vast magical realm still have?

The president was elected by vote, with every member having one vote.

What on earth gave Hope the confidence to guarantee that Hodu would definitely be elected?

This statement was tantamount to openly stating that he had the ability to rig the election, and in his eyes, the Five Great Families were no different from figures molded out of mud.

"Ahem, President Hope, the most urgent matter right now is to clear up the misunderstanding. The matter of the president can be put aside and discussed later."

A steady and experienced Wizard stood up from the audience, wanting to cut off this topic.

"Heh, you aren't all-powerful in the Wizards Federationeither. What are you using to guarantee this?"

Hodu let out a laugh—his face must be stinging from all those slaps now.

"It's a minor matter and doesn't affect my guarantee."

Hope didn't even look at that person, his tone light and breezy.

The young Secretary-General turned around and stared expressionlessly at the old Wizard who had stood up.

Two gazes collided.

The old Wizard's chest heaved a few times, and with a livid face, he sat back down.

"Fine, I'll wait."

Hodu agreed readily.

As for whether he would take the position when the time came, that was a matter for later.

Furthermore, he didn't believe that Hope could really handle those stubborn old fossils.

"Let's stop the idle chatter here and talk about the matter between you and the Patriarch of the Yu Family. Tell me what is going on first."

Hope seemed to have just remembered the main topic.

"A few days ago, I sent a drop of blood to the Yu Family for testing, and the Yu Family turned around and teamed up with the Bai Family to swallow that drop of blood. The Bai Family can testify to this, right?"

Hodu spoke to himself as he turned his head to look at Patriarch Bai, whose face was livid within the crowd.

These words repeatedly stabbed like a knife at Patriarch Bai's heart; it would be strange if his expression looked good.

"Such a matter did happen."

Patriarch Bai stood up with a cold face, dropped a stiff sentence, and slowly sat back down.

"You!"

The Patriarch of the Yu Family was both shocked and angry, not expecting that the Bai Family would sell them out without even thinking.

Patriarch Bai only responded with a cold sneer.

The Bai Family had lost everything because of this matter; why should the Yu Family be allowed to get away with it?

"Forget about that, but now you still don't want to return the blood. Do you really take me for a soft persimmon?"

Hodu's tone was calm, showing no signs of anger.

Upon hearing this, the Patriarch of the Yu Family hurriedly stood up with a hunched back, his face covered in smiles.

"Your Excellency, your words wrong me. Colluding with the Bai Family is indeed true; it was my Yu Family whose heart was blinded by lard. However, it's not that we don't want to return the blood; it's truly gone. With the heavens above, Your Excellency, please state your terms. Whatever compensation you want, the Yu Family will take it all. Even if it bankrupts us, we will definitely satisfy Your Excellency."

The Patriarch of the Yu Family spoke passionately and forcefully, looking quite convincing.

The spectators off the stage were somewhat surprised. The sincerity of the Patriarch of the Yu Family was indeed sufficient; he had even thrown out the prospect of bankruptcy. To continue holding on to this would be somewhat unreasonable.

"Oh? How does President Hope see this?"

Hodu didn't take up the conversation, instead turning his head to look at Hope beside him.

Hope's eyes flickered as if he were pondering. After a moment, he said, "There are indeed many good things in the treasury of the Yu Family. Even I am tempted by this compensation. Why doesn't Your Excellency take a look first before deciding?"

This statement was indeed not false.

For a family that had been passed down for so many years, the things in their treasury must be dazzling and capable of blinding one's eyes.

Hearing this, Hodu smiled and shook his head.

"President Hope has still been deceived by this person. Whether that blood is gone or not is crystal clear in my mind; I even know where Patriarch Yu has hidden it."

What made Hodu even happier right now was that Hopehad still lost a notch.

He could sense the location of that blood.

It wasn't by relying on Treasure Perception.

In fact, Treasure Perception could no longer sense it. The blood had long been boiled into a Potion, completely different from its original form, which was how it had escaped his perception.

Being able to sense the blood's location was something that happened after he fused with the True Dragonbloodline.

With the Eternal Dragon Body, he was exceptionally sensitive to his own blood. After all, it was something that came from his own body; even if it was made into a Potion, it couldn't escape his perception.

"Your Excellency, stop trying to bluff me. If you are not satisfied with the compensation, just say it directly. That blood really has been consumed."

Patriarch Yu squeezed out a bitter smile on his face, putting on a very low posture.

Hodu looked at him amusedly. He had to admit that Patriarch Yu didn't reveal a single flaw even at this stage; he was truly formidable.

If he couldn't actually sense it himself, he might have really believed him.

"Really?"

Hodu stared at Patriarch Yu with a half-smile.

"Really!"

Patriarch Yu nodded without hesitation, looking extremely sincere.

"Your Excellency, aren't you going too far in bullying others? Patriarch Yu has already gone to this extent, why won't you believe him? Could it be that you want to blow this matter out of proportion and that's why you refuse to accept Patriarch Yu's apology?!"

A Wizard off the stage couldn't stand it anymore and stood up to speak for Patriarch Yu.

Upon hearing this, Patriarch Yu bowed gratefully toward that person, almost kneeling down.

"It's fine. There is always a place that reasons in this world, Patriarch Yu, don't be afraid."

That person waved his hand at Patriarch Yu and said indifferently.

"Who is this?"

Hodu became interested and looked at Hope beside him.

Hope's constant smiling face stiffened a bit.

No other reason, but the Wizard who had spoken was someone he had personally recruited into the Wizards Federation.

"A member of the Federation, Liao Feng; his brain hasn't fully grown yet, so Your Excellency, please don't hold it against him."

Hope rubbed his glabella.

Hodu raised an eyebrow.

Last name Liao?

He wasn't a person from the Five Families, yet he jumped out to back the Yu Family. Truly an army of justice.

The smile on Hodu's face brightened considerably, and he felt this matter was getting more and more interesting.

Being able to make Hope personally speak up to protect him meant he was mostly Hope's man.

"You're right. Why don't we make a bet? You say that blood is truly gone, or that Patriarch Yu deliberately hid it and refuses to hand it over. I bet Patriarch Yu deliberately hid it. If I lose, this matter will be written off as settled. How about it?"

Hodu spoke with great interest, wanting to see if this stubborn man of justice would sacrifice himself for the Yu Family.

"Brother Liao, you absolutely must not do this!"

Patriarch Yu's eyes even grew moist as he shouted "Brother" to Liao Yi, who was unknown how many years younger than him, and bowed deeply, looking just like a vulnerable woman driven into a corner.

"Fine! I'll bet with you!"

Liao Yi waved his hand and agreed righteously.

Hope could only watch helplessly as the person he had cultivated stepped into a pit dug by someone else.

Although he didn't know whether the matter was true or false, he believed that Hodu wouldn't make this bet for no reason.

The Wizards present watching the show all revealed gloating smiles.

Whether the item was still there or not, they didn't know, but did they really think this shrewd Patriarch Yu's display was from the bottom of his heart?

"Then what if you lose? You must know that what I give up if I lose is a massive compensation, the treasures in the Yu Family treasury that even President Hope covets."

Seeing this person actually take the bait, Hodu also felt it was somewhat funny.

"I don't have such deep family resources, but if I lose, I am at your disposal!"

As soon as these words came out, Hope shook his head and couldn't bear to watch any longer.

He had cultivated Liao Yi firstly because his magic talent was not bad, and secondly because he was upright by nature.

Now it seemed his shortcomings were also very obvious—he simply had no brain.

"Fine!"

Hodu agreed directly.

Being at one's disposal meant that this bet had no upper limit, and he could deal with Liao Yi however he wanted.

Originally, he thought Liao Yi was a hypocritical saint who only knew how to talk big and would chicken out when it was time to pay a price.

He didn't expect him to be a true saint, just lacking a brain.

"This old man thanks Brother Liao on behalf of the Yu Family for speaking up righteously."

By this time, Patriarch Yu's old tears were falling, and he bowed deeply to Liao Yi, making the expressions of the others look varied and truly hard to describe.

"Patriarch Yu is being too serious."

Liao Yi hurried up from off the stage, supported Patriarch Yu's arm, and revealed genuine emotion.

"How do you want to prove it?"

Liao Yi straightened his back and questioned Hodu.

"Simple, in just a moment, it won't take long."

A smile appeared on Hodu's face as he unhurriedly extended his right hand, holding it out flat with his palm facing upward.

Everyone present was completely dumbfounded. What was he trying to do? Could it be that the item could fly into his hand all by itself?

Hodu had a calm expression, and others found it inconvenient to rush him, so they just stared wide-eyed at his palm like this.

After a while, just as the crowd was becoming somewhat impatient, they suddenly heard a sound.

Crack, glass shattered.

Immediately afterward, something flew in, giving everyone a start.

When they saw clearly, they discovered it was a cyan bottle the size of a palm, landing steadily in Hodu's hand.

This was precisely the Summoning Spell cast by Hodu. Since he could sense where the blood was, he could naturally summon it over.

The moment he saw the bottle, Patriarch Yu's expression finally changed, his arms trembling slightly as his palms brushed against his cuffs.

"What is this?"

"Could it be that blood?"

The spectators off the stage stretched their necks forward one by one, extremely curious.

Someone simply stood up to watch from afar; although this matter had nothing to do with them, it didn't prevent them from eating melons on the scene.

"How about it? Patriarch Yu, is there anything else you need me to say?"

Hodu looked at Patriarch Yu's current appearance—his face was flushed red—and the corners of his mouth curled into a mocking smile.

Chapter 105: Dismissal! The End of the Old Patriarch

"You... You!"

Yu Zhentian felt as if a stone were stuck in his throat, his face turning liver-colored, veins bulging, and his eyeballs practically wishing to grow onto Hodu.

Hodu didn't pay him any mind at all, too lazy to even change his posture. He maintained his calm and breezy expression, meeting the gaze straight on.

No one in the hall made a sound, but everyone understood in their hearts that Yu Zhentian's reaction clearly indicated he had something to hide.

Someone shook their head and sighed, thinking that since he had put up an act to this extent, why didn't he just keep pretending instead of tearing off his own fig leaf.

Wizards who had been mingling in the circles for a long time had long seen through Yu Zhentian's lies, but no one could figure out why he had to expose himself at this very moment.

If anyone in the entire room could truly understand Yu Zhentian, it had to be Patriarch Bai.

The wicked smile at the corner of that old fellow's mouth was about to stretch to his ears, and his eyes were filled with sheer delight, as if a grudge he had bottled up for years had finally been avenged.

If he couldn't get that thing, the Yu Family shouldn't even think about getting it either. There was no one in this world who knew the weight of that blood better than he did.

That was absolutely the most precious thing under heaven, worth fighting for with one's life.

Now that it had been refined into a Potion, its purpose went without saying. Patriarch Bai could guess it with eight or nine parts out of ten just by guessing, and the more he could guess, the less he could hide the greed in his eyes, his breathing becoming much heavier.

The people below were still discussing what sacred thing this bottle of Potion could be when Yu Zhentian suddenly moved.

"Soul-Eater Curse, kill!"

No one expected that an old man with one foot in the grave could be so nimble with his hands and feet.

Taking advantage of the fact that everyone's attention was not on him, Yu Zhentian reached into his sleeve and drew a small sword.

It wasn't peach wood, but a solid iron blade. What was somewhat interesting was the middle section of the blade, where a piece of moldy wood was embedded in a depression.

As soon as the incantation fell, a ghastly green beam of light shot out from the tip of the sword, startling everyone present into a shudder.

Several Wizards almost jumped up from their chairs for no other reason than that they were too familiar with this curse; those struck by it would not leave a single wound on their bodies, and a trace of an eerie smile would hang on their faces, completely beyond saving.

This was a counterfeit version of the Killing Curse. If one truly wanted to trace its roots back, no one could clearly tell who copied whom during that era, but cultural exchanges between East and West had existed since ancient times.

No one could have predicted that Yu Zhentian would dare to be crazy to this extent, casting a Killing Curse right in front of all the members of the Wizards Federation.

Hope was still in office; even if it were any of the Patriarchs of the Five Great Families, using a forbidden curse in public would still make them deeply culpable.

What dropped everyone's jaws was that the green beam struck Hodu solidly.

At that moment, a strange emotion welled up in the hearts of quite a few people, making it hard to tell whether it was relief or hair-raising dread.

Yu Zhentian trading one life for another in this manner actually made him appear righteous and awe-inspiring, worthy of a thumbs-up from peers like them.

Hope's composure stiffened for a fraction of a second, caught off guard by this old fellow's madness. He had considered that Yu Zhentian might be driven to desperation, but he hadn't expected him to jump so directly and leave no leeway.

He hurriedly looked toward Hodu's direction, only to see that young man still wearing an indifferent expression, standing there as if nothing had happened at all.

How could he possibly be fine?

Hope was completely dumbfounded. The Killing Cursewas considered unsolvable internationally, let alone the fact that Hodu had truly taken a hit. Could it be that Yu Zhentian mischanted the spell?

Quite a few people in the audience were also furious and anxious, wishing they could rush up and punch Yu Zhentian twice. To commit such a low-level mistake during such a crucial sneak attack—the spell missed completely—did someone of that level even deserve to be a Patriarch?

"Impossible! How can you possibly be fine?!"

Yu Zhentian's eyeballs were practically popping out of his sockets. Unlike the others, he knew better than anyone else that his attack hadn't missed; the curse had indeed hit, but it was like a clay ox entering the sea, not even making a sound. It completely defied common sense.

Hodu had no intention of explaining it to him.

Without a few tricks up his sleeve, would he dare to come and attend this death trap?

As early as the moment he stepped through the door, he had spread out his Stealth Trait, selectively invisible to magic power. No spell could touch his body, not even the Unforgivable Curses.

"Oh, Hope, this isn't any Feast at Hongmen; it's practically turning into Jing Ke assassinating the King of Qin."

Hodu didn't care about Yu Zhentian's deadpan face at all; instead, he turned his head sideways to banter with Hope.

Hope's expression sank, and the look he gave Hodu carried a bit more solemnity.

"Regarding this matter, I will give you an explanation."

Before his words faded, Yu Zhentian moved again.

This old madman gripped the small sword and dashed straight at Hodu, the ferocity on his face resembling someone confronting the murderer of his father.

Hope was just about to step in to stop him, but Hodumoved a step ahead.

In the blink of an eye, everyone only saw Yu Zhentian's wrist gripped tightly by Hodu, unable to move at all.

The old Patriarch exerted all his strength to push forward, yet couldn't advance even half an inch. When he tried to pull back, his hand felt as though it had been welded shut by iron pliers.

A trace of impatience flashed across the depths of Hodu's eyes. With his Giant strength trait, when he truly fought, even Giants couldn't compare. For a moribund Wizard to dare play close-quarters combat with him, what was it if not courting death?

"Ah!"

A shrill, miserable scream exploded within the ancestral hall, and the small sword clattered to the ground.

Yu Zhentian knelt and sat on the ground, his right hand curled into a deformed shape as he howled heart-rendingly. Hodu's squeeze just now had crushed his hand bones to powder.

The entire audience was shocked. Even quite a few Wizards of the Yu Family were dumbfounded, not knowing how to wrap this up.

By rights, they should have charged forward together with the Patriarch, but that wave of sneak attack hadn't involved them in the first place. Now, seeing the Patriarch in such a miserable state of agony, no one had the guts to rush up.

"Do you all take me, Hope, as non-existent?"

Hope swept a cold gaze around. Wherever his gaze landed, everyone instantly sobered up.

Able to sit inside this ancestral hall, besides the guests with different surnames, the rest were all high-ranking members of the Five Great Families, who knew better than anyone else what Hope relied on to suppress them for so many years.

If they truly fell out completely, no one could bear the consequences, let alone go provoke that bizarre young Wizard.

"Stop."

The Eldest Son of the Yu Family sighed and walked out from the crowd.

This was the ancestral hall of the Yu Family after all; the moment he spoke, the restless atmosphere was actually suppressed.

"Father, why must you do this? Must you drag the entire Yu Family down with you?"

The Eldest Son of the Yu Family wore a face full of disappointment. He could understand why his father wanted to make a move, but could the Yu Family afford to pay this price?

The matter involving the Bai family earlier was still right there; although this kid looked young, he had the ability to force a prestigious family to lower its head.

If the Killing Curse had truly succeeded, that would be one thing. Since it hadn't succeeded, why act like a desperate criminal? Obediently admitting defeat would at least allow them to retain a bit of dignity.

"Rebellious son! What do you understand? When is it your turn to lecture your old man?!"

Yu Zhentian was originally still wailing, but upon hearing these words, his pain-twisted face became even more ferocious, veins popping out one by one as he roared at his son.

"Since Father disregards the life and death of the family, this son has no choice but to be unfilial."

The Eldest Son of the Yu Family sighed again, his tone plain yet exuding an unnegotiable firmness.

"What do you want to do?!"

Yu Zhentian was both shocked and angry, his roar twisting out of tune.

"In the name of the heir to the Patriarch of the Yu Family, I propose to dismiss the position of Patriarch and have me temporarily take over."

Uproar broke out in the ancestral hall.

But those Wizards who were old enough and had experienced enough looked on with cold detachment. This scene of righteousness overriding family ties was, to put it bluntly, sacrificing a pawn to save the chariot—abandoning the old one to save the entire family.

"Seconded."

"Seconded."

Several collateral elders of the Yu Family rushed to state their positions. In less than half a minute, the old Patriarch was thus unseated.

Hodu stood to the side with a sneering smile on his lips, watching them act without stopping them.

However, did they really think it was over just like that?

"Please, Hope, discern the truth."

The Eldest Son of the Yu Family bent down, pressing his head so low it almost touched the ground.

"My father, Yu Zhentian, is no longer the Patriarch of the Yu Family. He has violated the charter of the Wizards Federation, and all crimes are solely his own doing. However, the Yu Family failed to exercise strict discipline and cannot escape culpability; we are willing to submit to Hope's disposal."

"Rebellious son! Rebellious son!"

Yu Zhentian was held down by two clan elders and could only curse hoarsely. His voice echoed in circles around the ancestral hall, but no one answered him.

Even the Wizards of other surnames who were watching the show couldn't tell at this moment whether this father-son duo had rehearsed a double act beforehand or if the eldest son had turned on him at the last minute. In the end, they could only sigh and remark that these two were truly great actors—even having lived for most of their lives, they still couldn't see through them.

"Hope, how do you think this matter should be handled?"

Hope did not make a direct conclusion, turning his head to look at Hodu.

This form of address made Hodu daze for a split second, remembering a second later that this was a joke made previously about having him succeed as the president of the Wizards Federation.

"What a fine show of righteousness overriding family ties."

Hodu sneered.

"However, you surely don't think that just like this, the matter of casting a Killing Curse on me can be written off like that, right?"

If he hadn't had abilities of his own, he would be completely cold by now. This matter wasn't going to be turned over so easily.

"I don't want compensation; why not just directly bury the ancestral land of your Yu Family for some peace and quiet, how about that?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, a torrential rain suddenly poured down outside the window.

It was even fiercer than the previous one, overwhelming the sky as if a breach had opened in the vault of heaven. The rainwater slammed against the roof with a thundering clatter, as if it wanted to chisel right through the tiles.

The accumulated water surged wildly, waves rolling over one after another. Through the window of the ancestral hall, one could even see churning splashes at least three meters high.

"Are you truly unwilling to let go of my Yu Family?!"

Yu Zhentian didn't even bother acting anymore, terrified by the apocalyptic scene outside the window to the point where his eyelids twitched wildly. He glared fiercely at Hodu.

The Eldest Son of the Yu Family broke out in a cold sweat from his father's interrogation. If the old man kept carrying on like this, the Yu Family really might not be able to be saved.

He just wanted to open his mouth to stop him, but Yu Zhentian suddenly stood up, facing all the Wizards in the audience, panting heavily as he used his uninjured left hand to point straight at the bottle in Hodu's hand.

"Do you all know what is packed inside that?! Do you know why I would rather die than hand it out?! Aren't you curious?!"
