Chapter 291 - Chapter 291: Close Combat

[Yo, it's Teggy, AKA SHARINK STUDIO!

I know the chapters have been coming out a bit late lately, and there were quite a few days when no chapters were released at all. There's only one reason for that: recently, there was an 8-day event at my home, and during that time I wasn't able to do any work related to the novel. Because of that, I became a little lazy and couldn't write the novel on time.

But don't worry—I'm slowly getting rid of that laziness, and the chapters will start coming out on schedule again very soon.

Also, besides THE ETO GALAXY, I'm currently writing 2–3 other series on the side. They will be released on Webnovel soon, and later on Tapas as well.

Till then, bye-bye, and don't forget to subscribe! Your support gives me a lot of motivation.]

On the battlefield at the front-right side of Ohio City, Yuki stood firmly.

Lightning continuously struck the ground behind him, illuminating the battlefield with flashes of blue and white light.

His clothes had been burned away by Taiju's thunder magic, exposing his muscular physique.

With a confident and domineering expression, Yuki stared directly at Taiju.

A short distance away, Tiyara stood frozen in place, her cheeks slightly red from embarrassment.

Yuki pointed toward Taiju.

"What did you say?"

His voice was calm but sharp.

"You're the strongest in physical strength?"

Taiju's expression twisted with anger.

"Yes!"

His voice thundered across the battlefield.

"I am the strongest in physical strength after Lord Sumaru himself!"

Then he glared at Yuki.

"But you... How did you survive that lightning magic?!"

Yuki silently thought about it.

Honestly... I didn't think I could survive it either.

Not without taking any damage.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

Thanks to Precious's training.

That insane training didn't just increase my speed and punching power.

It strengthened my defense.

And even improved my natural healing ability.

Though... calling it training is generous.

It was hell.

Memories flashed through his mind.

Running while carrying hundred-kilogram stones.

Enduring temperatures that exceeded one thousand degrees.

Surviving countless brutal exercises that should have broken a normal human.

Yuki let out a quiet breath.

"Haa..."

Then he looked back at Taiju.

"You wouldn't believe the torture I survived."

For a moment, he smiled.

Then his expression suddenly became cold.

Dangerously cold.

"And now..."

His eyes narrowed.

"It's time for you to meet your death."

BOOM!

Without warning, Yuki rushed forward.

His speed shocked everyone watching.

While running, he threw his sword directly at Taiju.

Taiju barely managed to dodge it.

But the moment he moved—

Yuki appeared beside him.

A powerful punch shot toward Taiju's face.

"!!"

Taiju reacted instantly and blocked it with his arm.

Even so, the impact launched him backward.

As soon as he regained his footing, he looked forward.

Yuki was gone.

Then a voice came from above.

"Hello~"

Taiju's eyes widened.

He looked up.

Yuki was falling from the sky at incredible speed.

He had jumped high into the air and was now descending like a meteor.

Taiju immediately cast a spell.

"BLAST FLAME!"

He thrust his fist upward.

A massive burst of flaming particles shot toward Yuki.

The flames struck him directly.

"SS...!!"

The burning heat damaged his skin and disrupted his balance.

Taking advantage of the opening, Taiju dodged away.

Yuki landed on the ground several meters away.

For a moment, both fighters stared at each other.

Taiju's expression became serious.

What the hell is this kid?

His physical strength rivals Lord Sumaru's.

Is he even human?

Can a human truly become this strong?

Meanwhile, Yuki brushed the remaining flames from his body.

Then he smiled.

A cold smile.

"Ha..."

"Sorry."

"It seems I got a little crazy during this fight."

A memory flashed through his mind.

Taiju attacking Tiyara.

The moment she had nearly been killed.

The uncontrollable rage he had felt.

So that's why I laughed like that earlier.

I couldn't control myself.

Whatever.

He focused on Taiju again.

"You're lucky."

"You survived several of my attacks."

Taiju snorted.

"Hmph."

"No."

"You're the lucky one for surviving mine."

His smile became cruel.

"But don't worry."

"I'll tear you into pieces."

He raised his hand.

A massive amount of mana gathered above the battlefield.

"OHLA METEOR FIRE!"

Suddenly, the sky darkened.

Everyone looked up.

A gigantic flaming meteor was falling toward the battlefield.

Duke Jalrai's face turned pale.

"Look up there!!"

The knights followed his gaze.

Even Tiyara's eyes widened.

"Oh, shit."

"It's too big!"

She immediately looked at Yuki.

"Yuki!"

"That meteor is too large!"

"You can't handle that!"

Yuki watched the falling meteor.

She's right.

Its speed...

Its size...

Its blast radius...

Everything is beyond what I can deal with.

Then Tiyara shouted again.

This time with confidence.

"Don't worry!"

"I'll handle this spell!"

She immediately flew into the sky.

Everyone watched her ascend.

Taiju growled angrily.

"Oh, no you don't!"

An ice shard formed in his hand and shot toward Tiyara.

But before it could reach her—

CRACK!

Yuki smashed it apart with a single punch.

The impact slightly damaged the skin on his hand.

Ignoring the pain, he looked at Taiju.

"Tiyara!"

"Keep going!"

"I'll handle this demon!"

Tiyara nodded and continued flying upward.

Higher.

Higher.

Until she stood far above the battlefield.

Then she began chanting.

"He Pavitra Atman, kripaya agaccha, imam ulkam bhindhi."

Suddenly—

The sky trembled.

A colossal transparent spirit appeared.

Its size dwarfed Ohio City itself.

The spirit was nearly two and a half times larger than the entire city.

Everyone froze.

The spirit slowly raised one hand.

Then—

CRUSH.

It grabbed the falling meteor and crushed it like a fragile stone.

The meteor shattered into countless fragments before completely disappearing.

Moments later, the spirit itself vanished.

Silence fell over the battlefield.

Everyone was stunned.

Taiju.

The knights.

Even Duke Jalrai.

Jalrai stared at the empty sky in disbelief.

So this is the power of the Master of the Magicarf Tower.

It's...

It's simply overwhelming.

Tiyara gently landed back on the ground.

Meanwhile, Taiju remained frozen, staring at the place where the meteor had vanished.

Shock filled his face.

Yuki stepped forward.

His gaze remained fixed on the demon general.

"Oy."

Taiju slowly turned toward him.

Yuki pointed at himself.

"Your opponent is me."

His voice was calm.

But his eyes were sharp.

"So focus on me."

For the first time since arriving on the battlefield—

Taiju looked genuinely nervous.
