After the training exercise Nashoba and Val had gone back to their dorm, leaving Roxanne and D walking in silence back to theirs. Neither really said anything as they walked into the hall, went up the elevator, or entered the room.
D noticed her gathering up a few books and notepads and went to ask where she was off to. But he figured she was probably going off to the library as per usual.
As per usual he would be left alone, in his room, with nothing to do. He thought about going to the library separately from her for a moment. That thought was quickly squashed by the fact that he didn't even fully remember which building was the library.
He tried to mentally map out the island within his mind, and by the time he'd given up trying to figure out where the library was Roxanne was already gone.
