{Seraphina's POV continuation.}
There was no sound.
No wind. No movement. No pulse beneath the world.
For a long moment, I could not even tell whether I was breathing.
Everything around me was blank, endless and pale, stretching into nothingness so completely that it felt less like a place and more like the absence of one. There was no ground beneath my feet and yet I was not falling. No sky above me and yet there was space. It felt wrong in a way my mind could not fully understand, as though reality itself had been stripped apart until only emptiness remained.
I tried to move but nothing happened.
A strange heaviness dragged against me, pressing down on my limbs until even the thought of lifting a hand felt exhausting. My body felt distant, disconnected, as though I existed only as awareness suspended in a void that refused to acknowledge me.
'Nero.'
The call echoed only inside my mind.
There was no response.
'Nero.'
Still nothing.
