Chapter 35 - Braavos

(Third Person POV)

[Braavos, Some Time Later]

"We have arrived." Mira said as they were walking down the ramp, "Braavos, My Lord."

Cyrus was walking behind her, looking over at the massive Titan of Braavos that was on the entrance to the lagoon that houses the City, a bit in awe.

"So this is Braavos...." He said as he reached the bottom and stood on the deck, "Interesting. What's the deal with the statue?"

"Ah, the Titan." Mira said, "Quite a thing of marvel, right? It acts as the first line of defense for the city, being a fortress. It is quite the magnificent statue."

"Hm....." Cyrus couldn't take his eyes off it, "It's quite nice."

"Yes." Mira smiled as she grabbed his hand, "Let us go. We have plenty of things to do here in Braavos. As mentioned, we have business with the Iron Bank and we have our fellow Worshippers. They would love to meet our Lord."

Cyrus looked at her, "Hm...." He said, "Don't hold my hand like we're together."

She chuckled, "Fret not." She said as they started walking, "It is nothing to worry about. We are connected, far more than just a god and his priest. You and I have been one, My Lord. I feel closer to you already."

Cyrus blinked, "Hm....."

She was referring to the time they had sex for Cyrus to clear his head and awaken his Observation Haki, which he was actively using. He had spread his radar throughout the near vicinity, hearing the voices of people who were in the port of the city.

"Lady Mira." Torys said, "Lord Cyrus. We will make our way to the Iron Bank at once."

"Allow me to go with you. Dealing with them might require my charm." Mira said with a smile

"As you wish." Torys said

"Erys, escort our Lord to the nearest establishment that is run by his followers." Mira said as she looked at Cyrus, running her hand down her arm gently, giving him a smile, "He should wait for our return."

Cyrus blinked, "Fine then."

**************

"How long are they going to take?" Cyrus asked Erys as they were sitting on a table inside a tavern, "I don't like any of this."

"Worry not, My Lord." Erys said, "Unlike King's Landing, we have nothing to concern ourselves with here in Braavos. We have plenty of fellow worshippers spread throughout the city. Should we merely ask, they will aid us with anything."

Cyrus was served a mug of ale, which he took and sipped from, scrunching his nose to the taste. Erys saw this and chuckled, lifting his own mug and taking a sip from it.

"Not quite your taste?" He asked, "Mayhaps wine is more suited for you."

Cyrus set the mug down, "I don't know." He said, "Hm...."

As they were speaking, a tall man approached them. He had light brown hair and blue eyes, which stared right at Erys.

"Erys." He said, a gruffy voice escaped his mouth, "It has been a long time. Where is Lady Mira?"

"Oh, Thorvos." Erys said, "It has been a long time, brother. Lady Mira is currently dealing with the Iron Bank."

"The time is almost near for the Gathering." Thorvos said seriously, "Who is it that you've brought with you? I do not recognize this man."

Erys gestured to him, "This is Lord Cyrus." He said, "He is the Lord of Light's Vessel, our God."

Thorvos looked at Cyrus, who was giving him a serious expression, "A Westerosi?" He said, "Our God? Do not make me laugh, Erys. Have you and your group gone mad? Why bring a nobody and claim he is our Lord? You don't-"

"Watch your tone, punk." Cyrus narrowed his eyes, an angry tone in his voice, "If you do not wish to be on my bad side, make sure you turn around and walk away. That or apologize to Erys, saying that I am not who he says I am."

"Pardon me?" Thorvos said, placing his hand on the dagger sheathed on his side, "What was it you said?"

Cyrus didn't move an inch, he simply kept his stare upon the man, "Why in the hell would Erys, a devoted follower of mine, lie?" He asked, "What gain does he have from falsely claiming that I am your Lord of Light? You know what I think about that, you imbecile? You should know your place."

"Ah...." Erys said with a nervous laughter, "M-My Lord, please..."

Thorvos's eye twitched, "You fucking....."

"Our Lord is in a bad mood. The voyage from Westeros put him on edge." Erys stood up and looked at Thorvos, "His body is but a physical and mortal vessel, to which he has access to the emotions of a mere man to place himself as our equals."

"Does that matter to me?" Thorvos asked, "I-"

Cyrus stood up immediately, the chair bouncing to the side, and he gave Thorvos a glare, as if he was attempting to do something.

Thorvos blinked, a bit taken aback by this, "You...."

"Walk away." Cyrus said angrily, "You will-"

"My my~" Mira was approaching this, "What is the meaning of this, My Lord?"

Thorvos looked to see Mira walking up to them, "Lady Mira...."

Mira reached Cyrus and wrapped her arms around his arm, "Hm...." She said, "My Lord, are you being bothered? Worry not, there is no need for you to be agitated."

Erys was laughing nervously, "Hahaha.." He said, "That's right, we like this building. Don't burn it down."

Thorvos narrowed his eyes, "What is the meaning of this, Lady Mira?" He asked, "Who is this man you're so close with?"

Mira looked at him with a smile, "Did Erys not tell you? He is Our Lord, the Lord of Light." She said as she looked at Cyrus with a glint in her eyes, "Lord Cyrus, the Mortal Incarnation of R'hllor...."

"Hm..." Cyrus said

"Tch....." Thorvos turned around, "He's but a man you've charmed into your own madness."

"This guy." Cyrus said with a scowl, "Maybe I should convince him that-"

"Worry not about them." Mira said, "Now is not the time for that."

"Do that in the Gathering."
