Logan looked at Steven in confusion. He didn't know what to do for a moment, then made his chain disappear and spoke in an embarrassed voice.
"Uhm... no... I mean, I don't want to kill you. I just wanted to find out something."
Steven raised his gaze and looked at Teacher Logan with the same gloomy expression.
To Teacher Logan, it looked as though Steven had been wronged. He couldn't help but feel as if he had been slapped hard across the face, so he spoke, trying to explain himself to the boy a little.
"I sensed killing intent. Perhaps I was imagining it, so I brought you here just to test you. I never intended to harm you."
Steven silently looked at Teacher Logan and gave him no answer, which made Teacher Logan feel like an extremely horrible person.
Teacher Logan sighed and began explaining.
"I thought you were talented or hiding some kind of power."
Teacher Logan raised his hand and awkwardly placed it behind his neck before speaking.
"You... resemble a friend of mine. We studied together at the academy and graduated together, and I was the only one who knew about his talent because he was hiding it. So I thought you were... like him."
Steven silently looked at Teacher Logan. He could notice the feelings of nostalgia and sadness on Teacher Logan's face. Steven couldn't help but feel slightly curious about this matter, so he asked Teacher Logan,
"Then where is this friend?"
Teacher Logan smiled a small smile that looked extremely sad and spoke.
"I don't know... He disappeared thirteen years ago."
"...Perhaps he died somewhere. I don't know."
Steven fell silent, as he had no comment about this matter.
Teacher Logan changed the subject.
"Anyway, I didn't mean to hurt you, so forget what happened. You can leave if you want."
Steven was silent for a moment before answering calmly.
"...Okay."
Then he turned around and left Teacher Logan's office without saying another word.
(The writer: /Steven has no feelings and no conscience 🙂)
...
It was now three in the afternoon.
Steven had decided to return to the shared apartment to sleep and recover some of his energy.
But just as he was about to enter Building C6, a familiar and annoying voice stopped him.
"Stevveeenn! I finally found you!"
Steven thought in annoyance.
'What does he want now?'
Nathan stood in front of Steven and spoke to him.
"Steven, I need you for something urgent."
Steven looked at Nathan in confusion.
"What do you want?"
Nathan smiled that smile that made Steven feel as though something extremely troublesome was waiting for him afterward.
Steven turned around and tried to stop Nathan from saying anything, speaking in a serious voice.
"I'm sleepy. I'm going to sleep."
As Steven tried to leave, Nathan quickly stopped him and grabbed his arm.
"Come on, we're waiting for you."
After saying that, he dragged Steven by the arm.
Steven couldn't help but feel confused.
"We?"
Nathan dragged Steven without saying another word.
Nathan took Steven to the hall that was being used as the headquarters of the Bone Breakers gang.
There were around twenty students. Strangely, some students had joined after the museum incident that happened yesterday.
This was because Miles and the rest of the gang members had actively participated in yesterday's incident, where they played a role in comforting some students as well as helping and guiding them. This caused the gang's reputation to increase, of course, in a good way, to the point that five students came today and joined the Bone Breakers gang.
(The writer: /What kind of gang is this? 😂)
Steven looked at the increased number and couldn't help but feel regret.
'Is it too late to disband this gang?'
After Steven looked around at the gang members, his eyes fell upon long silver hair.
Steven thought in annoyance.
'This... is great.'
Despite Steven's decision to help Max, that didn't mean he wanted Max to get closer to him.
*Clap!*
Everyone in the hall looked at Nathan, and Steven did the same.
'I have a bad feeling.'
After gaining everyone's attention, Nathan spoke with a cheerful smile while pointing toward Steven.
"I present to you the leader of the Bone Breakers gang."
Everyone looked toward Steven. When Steven felt their gazes, he couldn't help but frown and look at Nathan in annoyance.
'What is this idiot doing?'
Nathan continued, breaking the silence that had fallen.
"And of course, there is a privilege for those who join our gang."
Everyone was listening with confused expressions. Even Steven couldn't help but feel his bad feeling growing stronger, which Nathan proved with his next sentence.
"The privilege is that the leader will be responsible for training us!"
All the students looked at Steven, but their expressions were confused. What was the privilege of training under a student who hadn't even reached the top hundred?
Steven looked at Nathan as if this were the worst thing he could possibly hear.
Steven couldn't bear staying in this place for another second, so he turned around and wanted to leave and never come back.
When Steven had taken three steps, a hand suddenly grabbed his white shirt. Steven wasn't wearing his academy jacket, and the hand stopped him from leaving.
Steven looked coldly at Nathan, then slapped Nathan's hand away from his clothes and spoke.
"Don't make decisions on my behalf."
Nathan stopped in place and looked at Steven in confusion.
Steven gave him one last cold look, then continued walking and left the Bone Breakers' headquarters.
After leaving, Steven wanted to return to his apartment to rest, but before he could go any farther, he heard Nathan's voice from behind.
"Stevveeenn! Wait!"
Steven was extremely annoyed to the point that he didn't want to see Nathan again, so he continued walking without looking back. But after a few steps, Nathan caught up to him, running behind him.
"I told you to wait. Why are you still walking?"
Steven wanted to know what this idiot was going to say to him this time, so he didn't avoid Nathan's hand as it once again grabbed his shirt.
Steven stopped and looked at Nathan with the same cold expression.
Nathan stopped moving for a moment, then spoke.
"I...."
Steven remained silent, waiting for Nathan to finish what he was saying.
Nathan spoke again, but in a louder voice, and also closed his eyes.
"I... I'm begging you!!"
Steven looked at Nathan with a shocked expression, still unable to comprehend what he was hearing.
"Huh?!"
Nathan spoke again.
"Please, I'm begging you. Train us."
Steven's mouth twitched, and he didn't know what to do, but instinctively wanted to remove Nathan's hand from his shirt. However, when he raised his hand to remove Nathan's hand from his shirt, Nathan interrupted him.
"Oh, I advise you not to do that."
Steven looked at Nathan in confusion.
Nathan looked at Steven's expression and couldn't help but smile annoyingly.
"I won't make the same mistake again."
"I created tiny threads on the palm of my hand and firmly attached them to the fabric of your shirt."
"So if you forcefully remove my hand, your shirt will tear."
Steven fell silent, unable to find anything to say.
"...."
Nathan repeated what he had said earlier.
"Come on, I'm begging you. It's simple. Just say, 'I accept.' Simple, isn't it?"
Steven looked at Nathan's hand and thought to himself.
'I could easily cut his hand off.'
Nathan looked toward where Steven was staring. Despite suddenly feeling uncomfortable, he continued with a smile.
"This is the first time I've begged someone, so... please."
Steven raised his gaze and looked into Nathan's black eyes. He couldn't help but sigh and spoke.
"...Okay."
A victorious smile appeared on Nathan's face.
Steven shook his head, but looked at Nathan with a frown and spoke.
"Don't do this again."
After hearing this, Nathan smiled and quickly nodded.
"Okay."
'I'll do it~'
Steven looked at him suspiciously. He couldn't believe him, but Steven still had to go along with it, so he didn't say anything else.
Suddenly, the two heard David's voice from afar. He spoke in an annoyed voice, as if his patience had run out.
"No, I won't tell you two, end of discussion."
In front of David were two heads, one red and the other light brown. It seemed that they were discussing something.
Kai's expression was frowning, while Leonard looked as though he had grown tired of this nonsense.
David was able to see Nathan and Steven. His frown deepened, then he clicked his tongue and spoke to Kai and Leonard in annoyance.
"They're over there."
After pointing toward Steven and Nathan, David turned around and left them. It seemed that he was heading toward the Bone Breakers' headquarters.
(The writer: /David abandoned them all and left 😂😂)
