Wolfen charged.
He moved fast—faster than he needed to, telegraphing his attack, making it obvious. Left side. High. Easy to read. The leader stood there, unmoving, his arms crossed, his expression bored.
Wolfen faked. Twisted. His actual attack came from the right, aimed at the leader's ribs.
The leader didn't move.
"Is that it?" His voice was flat. Unimpressed.
Wolfen's grin didn't waver. "She made it look too easy."
The leader brought his hand back for a punch.
"Ah, shit."
Wolfen flew backward—the impact sending him through the air, his body tumbling, the ground beneath him cracking from the force. He hit the rubble, skidded, stopped.
The leader appeared behind him. His fist connected with Wolfen's chest.
The intensity of the attack made the ground break. Shockwaves rippled outward, shattering the earth for miles. Dust and debris rose in a massive cloud.
The leader looked at the group. His eyes found Eva.
"You're next."
Eva smiled. She pointed behind him.
He turned.
Wolfen wasn't in the crater.
He was standing in front of him.
The leader's eyes widened. This human—
A fireball hit his face—obscuring his vision, burning his skin. The smoke cleared, and Wolfen was in the air, a massive fiery ball forming above him. It looked like a miniature sun, blazing and bright.
Wolfen was laughing like a maniac.
Derek moved immediately. He grabbed the nearest survivors, pulling them away from the battle, shouting for Lena to help. They moved fast, getting everyone to safety.
The rest stayed fixed on the battle.
Sasha watched the other men, her eyes narrow. She leaned toward Nora.
"They're the same as me," she said. "Maybe stronger."
Nora's eyebrows rose. "Really? How did they even get here?"
"Probably flew through space." Sasha's voice was calm. "These guys are at least Planetary threat level."
"What makes you say that?" Nora asked. "You just said they're as strong as you. You're multi-continent level."
"No." Sasha's voice was flat. "I'm not. I can destroy the entire planet. I was made to."
Nora turned to look at her.
"The reason you think I'm multi-continent level," Sasha continued, "is because you're too strong to even sense how strong I actually am. Compared to you... I'm nothing."."
"Don't call yourself nothing, then y didn't you tell me last night." Nora's voice was sharp. She looked back at the battle, her mind racing. If she had made the mistake of thinking Eva and the others were only continent level—when they were clearly on the same level as Sasha—then that meant only one thing.
She had been underestimating them. All of them.
"I don't like anyone knowing how strong I really am."
The leader flew toward Wolfen, his fist connecting with Wolfen's face. The impact destroyed the ground for miles—craters opening, earth shaking.
The leader's fist crashed into Wolfen's face.
Instead of blood, the body burst apart into flames.
The miniature sun detonated above the leader.
Wolfen reappeared on the ground. Standing. Smiling.
"What was that?" Leo said, confused.
Jordan's eyes were fixed on the battle. "What happened?"
"A copy," Sasha said, her voice calm. "He made a copy of himself with fire."
Wolfen's grin widened. The leader landed on the ground, breaking it for miles again.
"Nice trick," the leader said. "My turn."
