Creating a new blueprint and then constructing it stuck in the depths of the Abyssal Scar took Leon longer than he expected.

He ended up with a simple ear muff that had 2 functions. It's first functions is noise cancelation, the ability to filter unnecessary noise and information coming from the surroundings only to focus on a specific sound that it's user desired.
Its second function is sound reading. By filtering unnecessary noise, the ear muff had the ability to lock on sound frequencies and read them.
It's similar to the senses of a Whale, a species of animals that Leon already knew were extinct.
Whales could sense and filter different sound frequencies underwater. The ear muff was not as effective, but it was still a massive upgrade to Leon's own hearing and all the current sensors of his machines.
