The intensity of the battle between Piccolo and Android 17 stunned the Z Warriors. This was a real fight.
Although Piccolo's energy had clearly dropped from the continuous fighting, he was still able to match Android 17 blow for blow.
Suddenly, Android 17 found an opening and drove his fist into Piccolo's stomach.
The Namekian doubled over in pain, breaking into a cold sweat.
Normally, that wouldn't have happened, but after so much fighting, Piccolo's ki had begun to drop.
Android 17 was starting to exploit his weakness.
Once he landed that hit, 17 didn't let up—he unleashed an even fiercer barrage.
The Z Warriors grew more anxious by the second.
Gohan wanted to rush in, but Krillin held him back. He was just as worried, but he knew better.
Jumping in blindly would only make things worse for Piccolo.
"But if this continues, Uncle Piccolo will lose!" Gohan said, panic written on his face.
Tien Shinhan spoke up. "Give it five more minutes. If Piccolo doesn't turn this around by then, we all attack together. We can't let the androids finish him off."
The others nodded. None of them could just sit back and watch Piccolo fall.
Piccolo, meanwhile, searched desperately for a counterattack.
But Android 17's relentless assault gave him no chance. He could only defend and take the punishment, his body weakening with every strike.
Just as 17 was about to unleash a decisive blow, he was suddenly kicked away.
Android 18 frowned. "What just happened? Why did 17 get knocked back?"
"A new fighter has arrived," Android 16 said calmly. "And they're strong."
"A new fighter?" 18's eyes widened.
The Z Warriors looked to the sky—and there he was.
Yamcha's eyes widened. "That's… Vegeta."
"Yeah," Tien said grimly. "For him to show up here so casually, he must be stronger than ever."
Krillin smirked. "Well, whatever his reason, at least he's on our side this time."
Piccolo wiped the blood from his mouth and glared at Vegeta. "I didn't expect you to show up here."
Vegeta sneered. "Show up? I couldn't just sit back and watch you struggle against a mere android. It was pathetic. So I stepped in."
His tone dripped with contempt.
Piccolo scowled. "Vegeta, you bastard. I didn't ask you to save me."
Vegeta ignored him, turning his eyes to the androids. "Leave this scrap metal to me. You can go back and make tea."
The insult made Piccolo's blood boil. "You arrogant piece of—don't underestimate me!"
But Vegeta just walked past him, smirking at Android 17. "So you're the androids, huh? Just piles of junk."
"Vegeta," 17 said, recognizing him immediately. "Of course I know who you are. All the Z Warriors are in our database."
Vegeta opened his arms, his aura beginning to surge.
Piccolo's eyes narrowed. "He's going to transform…"
In truth, Piccolo didn't believe Vegeta could surpass him.
After training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for half a year, his own battle power had reached around 1.5 billion.
That was enough to fight Android 17 evenly. Even Vegeta couldn't be much stronger than that.
From the sidelines, 18 glanced at 16. "Do you think Vegeta's Super Saiyan power will surpass 17's?"
16's eyes flickered as he processed the data. "No. Judging from his energy output, he's slightly weaker than the Namekian."
"Good. That means we have nothing to worry about." 18 relaxed. As long as Vegeta wasn't stronger than 17, the situation was under control.
With a deafening roar, Vegeta's aura exploded golden. His hair spiked upward, glowing bright yellow.
He had transformed into a Super Saiyan.
His power level soared—about 1.45 billion. Stronger than most, but still just below Piccolo and Android 17.
