Synopsis
PROLOGUE Born into royalty, Famoura Felòenz has lived her entire life inside a palace that shines with elegance… and rots with silence. Her kingdom is beautiful, but the air is heavy with unspoken fear—because some names are never spoken without trembling. Among them, one name is whispered more than any other: Margaret. Famoura’s grandmother. A woman whose past still stains the history of the royal bloodline. As Famoura grows older, she begins to notice something strange. Certain doors in the castle remain locked. Certain books are forbidden. Certain questions are punished. And the more she asks… the more the kingdom tries to quiet her. At the age of eleven, Famoura and her closest friends begin meeting secretly in an abandoned town library—far from the eyes of the palace guards. It becomes their hidden world, a place where they can speak freely about forbidden knowledge, forbidden truths… and forbidden dreams. But one evening, something happens that was never meant to happen. Something hidden awakens. And from the darkness of the library, figures appear—mysterious guardians who don’t behave like humans… and don’t speak like ordinary beings. They give the children only one warning: Leave. Or forget everything. Famoura escapes—but she doesn’t return home the same. Because soon after, a gift arrives at the palace—something that was meant for her long ago, something that was never supposed to reach her hands. A strange book. No words. No ink. Only silence trapped inside maroon pages. Until one morning… the pages begin to change. And when Famoura realizes the book is responding to something no one else can see, she understands one terrifying truth: This isn’t just a book. It is a key. A key to something the kingdom buried. A key to a history that could destroy everything she believes about her bloodline, her identity… and even her destiny. When Famoura returns to the abandoned library, the guardians appear again—this time not with anger… but with fear. And in that moment, Famoura learns that she is not just a princess. She is connected to a secret far older than the kingdom itself. A secret tied to a world that exists beside her own. A world people call… “The Veiled Realm” But the truth is not free. And some entities do not want Famoura to ever reach it. Because if she steps onto the hidden path… she won’t just uncover the past. She may awaken something that was never meant to return. And the moment she takes that first step— her real story begins.

Chapter 1 - "THE READER"

Meet Jenna Lopez

Jenna Lopez was a lazy girl who lived in Texas, one of the largest states in the United States.

It was already 9:30 in the morning, yet Jenna was still fast asleep in her room. From the kitchen, her mother, Bella Lopez, called out loudly.

"Jenna! Wake up! Your friends are calling you. How long are you going to make them wait?"

But Jenna gave no reply.

Annoyed, Bella marched upstairs, opened Jenna's door, and threw a toothbrush and some clothes onto her bed.

"No more excuses," Bella said firmly. "Get ready right now and leave the house, or you'll be cleaning the garden today!"

Grumbling, Jenna finally got up, got dressed, and stepped outside to catch the school bus. But when she noticed how calm and cool the weather was, her mood suddenly changed.

Instead of walking toward the high school, her feet slowly turned in another direction—toward the library.

Jenna might be lazy, but she loved reading books.

Soon, she entered the Central Library of Texas. As she wandered through the shelves, her true personality began to show while she read the titles aloud.

"Hmmm… I Can't Live Without You, said Oxygen crying in the corner."

She frowned.

Then she picked up another book.

"My Lips Without Him… what rubbish? Eww… men."

She tossed it aside.

"Boring. Another boring one."

Suddenly, a voice from behind the counter spoke.

"May I help you, ma'am?"

Startled, Jenna jumped, and the pile of books in her hands fell to the floor. The librarian quickly stepped forward and began picking them up.

"Sorry, ma'am," he said politely.

"Sorry?" Jenna replied, still surprised. "You scared me! Who suddenly appears like that?"

As she handed him the books one by one, she complained, "There isn't a single good book here. Just look at these titles!"

"Please stop, ma'am," the librarian groaned. "I can't carry any more weight."

Suddenly, the stack slipped from his arms and crashed to the floor again.

"Fine, forget that," Jenna said. "Just tell me—are there any good books here? Otherwise I'll just go home and watch Netflix."

"Come with me," the librarian said. "I'll show you some fictional books."

"Anything is fine," Jenna replied. "Just make sure it's good."

He showed her several shelves of fiction. Jenna glanced through them and shook her head.

"I already read all of these when I was a kid."

The librarian sighed and walked toward a very old cupboard in the corner. After wiping away the dust, he carefully pulled out a single book and handed it to her.

"I bet you haven't read this one," he said with a teasing smile. "It's never been sold. I don't know why people ignore it. Maybe they didn't understand it."

He shrugged.

"And it's the only fiction book here that you probably haven't read. If you like, give it a try. New books will take time to arrive… otherwise, well, Netflix is always there."

Jenna took the book from his hand and read the title.

Famoura Felòenz: The Cursed Town

"Hm… sounds interesting," she muttered, "but also a little strange."

She pulled out her phone to check something—but the screen was completely dead.

"Well," she said, "my phone has no charge anyway. I might as well read this."

Jenna sat down at a nearby desk and opened the book. Inside, there was a small note.

Disclaimer:

This book is very interesting but also frightening. It might even disturb you mentally, even though it is fictional. Don't worry—it's not that serious. But once you read this book, the story may never leave your mind. Many questions will arise. It is a creative story that also reflects human reality. People see this book from different points of view. It all depends on how you think.

Jenna didn't take the note seriously. She simply placed it aside.

Then she turned the first page…

…and began reading.
