"A guest is a guest; there's no reason to drive them away," Li Changqing said to Zhang Fuguang.
Just as he finished speaking, a commotion of footsteps echoed from the alley.
Soon, five soldiers appeared at the entrance of the Evergreen Tavern. They were dressed in soft armor and raincoats, their eyes scanning the tavern's interior.
They were in pursuit of a flower thief, but somehow lost him when he entered the alley.
This tavern seemed suspicious.
"Welcome," Li Changqing said with a smile.
"Is it you?"
Seeing Li Changqing and Zhang Fuguang, the guard captain exclaimed in surprise, "Is this tavern yours?"
This was the same guard captain who had been brought by a driver a few days ago, claiming Zhang Fuguang had committed murder.
"What a coincidence," Li Changqing nodded, "this tavern is mine."
"Hmm." The guard captain nodded, "Have you seen a burly man run in here?"
"Yes, he's hiding under that table inside," Li Changqing gestured.
