Yang Chen: "Meeting Buffett isn't an excuse for honking behind my car the whole time."
Brother Ma: "You're right, brother. I was a bit rushed because of the time, sorry about that."
Brother Ma is indeed a man of status, so he had to be mindful of his image when speaking.
In the eyes of people from Yang Chen's generation, Brother Ma is still seen as tall and mighty. Seeing him cross districts just to meet Buffett made Yang Chen feel a bit annoyed.
Yang Chen: "Where is he?"
Brother Ma: "At the West Lake Four Seasons Hotel."
Yang Chen: "You're a household name here in the business world; why act so humbly just to meet him? Can't you make him come to you? At the least, can't you two arrange to meet somewhere that's convenient for both of you? Traveling so far damages your image in my eyes."
Brother Ma: "Brother, your words make me feel quite ashamed."
