Chapter 215 - Chapter 215: Principal, don't take a break, come work overtime

Sunday noon, Hogwarts was quiet, like a serene oil painting.

Without the noisy students, the painting seemed to lack a bit of vitality.

For Sebastian, this weekend was destined to be busy.

Today was a special day; Professor Kettleburn of Care of Magical Creatures retired, and almost all the faculty and staff came to see him off.

In Sebastian's eyes, Professor Silvanus Kettleburn was a true magical creature enthusiast.

As the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts, Kettleburn was known for his reckless nature, often getting himself into dangerous situations.

During his tenure, Kettleburn underwent at least sixty-two probationary periods, the most famous incident occurring when he participated in directing the mime play 'The Fountain of Fair Fortune'.

To provide stage effects for the play, he used an Ashwinder magnified by magic, but unexpectedly, the snake suddenly exploded on stage, causing chaos in the theater and overflowing the hospital wing.

The brothers Fred and George once mischievously "rescued" a Fire Crab in his class, feeding it a Fizzing Whizbee, trying to see what effect it would have.

Professor Kettleburn's class was always known for its humor at Hogwarts; when Little Wizards reached their third year, many would choose his class.

However, in his own words, he now only had one arm and half a leg left, so he wanted to retire and spend more time with his remaining limbs.

When Sebastian arrived at the Great Hall, the school's Professors had basically all arrived, gathered together to hold a small farewell banquet for Professor Kettleburn.

After a few rounds of drinks, the Professors, holding their glasses, left their seats and began chatting amongst themselves.

When she saw Sebastian, a tipsy Sybill insisted on giving him a prophecy.

"Ominous," Sybill held a wine bottle, carefully scrutinizing Sebastian through her peculiar glasses, "I see ominous..."

"Oh?" Sebastian became interested, "Can you elaborate on what's ominous, Professor Sybill?"

"I see... I see behind you, a vast black army covering the sky, flying up and down, almost completely engulfing you."

Sybill lightly burped, saying with a slight slur, "To know more detailed information, please pay a hundred Galleon for the drinks. No... for the prophecy."

"Sybill, you've had too much to drink, you're already drunk, your mind is not very clear." Professor McGonagall stepped forward, took Sybill's arm, and led her out of the crowd.

Her face was flushed, clearly having had some wine herself.

She gently shook her head at Sebastian, indicating that Sebastian should not believe it.

"No, I'm not drunk..." Professor Sybill waved her other arm, "I still need to earn a hundred Galleon."

Seeing this scene, Mia smiled and stepped forward, helping Professor McGonagall lead her aside.

Professor McGonagall waved her wand, transfiguring a sofa for Professor Sybill to sit on.

Perhaps the alcohol truly surged, and Professor Sybill directly fell into a deep sleep.

Watching Professor McGonagall and Mia help cover Professor Sybill with a thin sheet, Sebastian was somewhat exasperated.

Professor McGonagall truly cared for him, afraid that he would be taken advantage of, but this way, the prophecy was interrupted.

To be honest, he really wanted Sybill to continue speaking, and he was willing to pay a hundred Galleon for the prophecy.

After all, others might not know, but Sebastian knew very well.

In the original work, although Sybill seemed very unreliable, her prophecies basically all came true.

He was quite curious to know what kind of scene Professor Sybill had seen.

A black army?

Flying up and down?

This most likely referred to Dementors.

According to the original work, a group of Dementors would indeed be stationed at Hogwarts this year, but what did that have to do with him?

Suppressing the urge to ask further, Sebastian raised his glass and found Professor Kettleburn to chat.

"Sebastian, I heard the Basilisk at your farm has gotten several circles fatter; your employees are truly capable."

"It was hungry for too long," Sebastian said with a smile to Professor Kettleburn, "Now that the food has caught up, it's normal for it to gain some weight."

"Sebastian, I've been quite leisurely since moving to Hogsmeade, so I'd like to take some time to visit the Basilisk. Do you think you could help me with that?"

"That's simple. I'll just tell the employees, and you can go whenever you want."

Hearing Sebastian's assurance, the old man was overjoyed, raising his glass and drinking it all down.

After the banquet, Sebastian volunteered to personally escort Professor Kettleburn back to his home in Hogsmeade.

After coming out, a gentle breeze blew, and Sebastian's eyes quickly cleared.

He waved his wand, dispelling the smell of alcohol on him, and slowly walked towards the Principal's office.

It had been a week since the holiday, and Old Deng was a bit too leisurely; it was time to start a new educational reform and give Old Deng something to do.

This reform plan would target the Professors of Hogwarts.

Times were progressing, and the Professors of Hogwarts also needed to keep up with the times.

Moreover, he had been at Hogwarts for three years and had long proven his abilities through various means, solidifying his identity as Deputy Headmaster.

Now he no longer had to be as cautious as when he first arrived at Hogwarts; he could openly involve himself in Hogwarts' personnel rights.

Carrying the reform plan he had prepared three years ago, Sebastian found Professor McGonagall, and then went with her to the Principal's office.

Looking at the two who appeared together, Dumbledore's eyelids twitched slightly.

Such a familiar scene!

He wondered what Sebastian was going to stir up this time.

Couldn't he let himself rest for another week? After all, he was over a hundred years old.

However, this young man always had some brilliant ideas, and the reform plans he proposed each year were all well-reasoned, making them impossible to refuse.

Moreover, under his changes, Hogwarts had indeed become better.

Forget it, being busy is being busy; who told him he was the Principal.

Thinking of this, Dumbledore looked at Sebastian and said gently.

"Sebastian, you can speak directly about any ideas you have; as long as they are reasonable, I will cooperate fully."

Oh!

Alright, Old Deng had figured out his temper.

Facing Dumbledore's inquiring gaze, Sebastian smiled and said loudly.

"Principal, the Professor positions for Defense Against the Dark Arts Class and Care of Magical Creatures Class are both vacant."

"I want to ask, what are your plans for recruiting new Professors?"
