Chapter 256 - Chapter 256: Capturing a Dementor as a Teaching Aid

Since October began, the Little Wizards' days seemed to be filled with classes.

Time flew by like flowing water, and in the blink of an eye, Halloween quietly arrived.

As evening approached, the Great Hall was adorned with pumpkin lanterns, their orange-yellow glow illuminating the entire Castle.

The long tables were laden with various candies, their wrappers shimmering invitingly in the warm light.

Even more remarkably, many mini Dementor-shaped dolls floated in the night sky.

They flapped their tiny black cloaks, wandering everywhere like miniature Dementors, emitting faint buzzing sounds, provoking the Little Wizards below, as if ready to swoop down at any moment to suck away the students' happiness.

This was a special Halloween activity launched by the school this year.

As long as the Little Wizards could cast a non-corporeal Patronus Charm, they could shatter these Dementor dolls and obtain the special candy inside.

When Harry, Ron, and Hermione arrived at the Great Hall, it was filled with dazzling silvery-white light.

"Woohoo!" Ron yelled, pulling out his wand and rushing forward. "Special candy, here I come!"

"Harry, Hermione, watch me show you how to catch dolls with a non-corporeal Patronus Charm."

"Show off? What show off!" Along with a discordant voice, Malfoy walked past, head held high.

A silvery-white peacock flew beside him, and under Malfoy's control, it easily knocked a Dementor doll out of the sky.

"Weasley, open your eyes and see, this is what'showing off' means."

He glanced sideways at Ron, shaking his head slightly.

"As for your unformed white mist, you'd better not bring it out to make a fool of yourself."

"Hey, Potter!" Malfoy solemnly invited. "Want to compete and see whose Patronus Charm catches more dolls?"

Hearing Malfoy's ridicule, Ron could not swallow this insult.

"Malfoy, how many days has it been since you successfully cast a corporeal Patronus Charm, a month, maybe?"

"Where did you get the courage to compete with Harry!"

"You should know Harry successfully cast a corporeal Patronus Charm during the first Duelling Club."

"By now, he has already practiced for two months."

"Your tiny peacock trying to beat Harry's stag is truly a pipe dream."

"Heh heh—" Malfoy sneered. "Those without a corporeal Patronus Charm are not qualified to shout here."

"Honestly, I'm worried for you. Look at your roommate Longbottom, he has successfully cast a corporeal Patronus Charm, and you can still only produce silvery-white mist."

"Tsk tsk—truly pathetic."

"You'd better practice hard now, otherwise, when Professor takes us to fight Dementors in real combat, you'll only be able to watch enviously. Just thinking about it makes me pity you."

Malfoy showed a mischievous smile, and earnestly waved his fist gently at Ron.

"Keep it up! As for the candy, I'll catch a bit more and share it with you."

Who wants you to keep it up?!

Who wants your candy?!

Ron's face turned red and then pale with anger.

Thinking of Neville successfully casting a Patronus Charm, his heart felt even more constricted.

The ridicule of an enemy certainly made him uncomfortable, but the success of a friend was even more agonizing.

How could Neville master the Patronus Charm before him?

Even after changing wands, he shouldn't progress so quickly.

Did he secretly practice extra every night inside his bed curtains?

Ignoring Ron, who was caught in an internal struggle, Malfoy turned his head and shouted at Harry.

"Come on, Potter, let's bet our honor and compete to catch dolls."

Harry looked at Malfoy, then at Ron, and smiled helplessly.

Every time these two met, they couldn't help but bicker.

They had fought together so many times.

So childish!

He drew his wand and cast his stag Patronus Charm, which lunged towards the Dementor dolls in the sky.

Watching the stag and peacock chasing dolls in the sky, Hermione smiled softly, raised her wand, and cast an otter Patronus Charm, joining the ranks of those chasing dolls.

The atmosphere in the Great Hall was extremely lively, and everyone was having a great time.

In this joyful atmosphere, the number of Little Wizards who could cast a corporeal Patronus Charm greatly increased.

From the original twenty-seven, it suddenly surpassed the forty mark.

Various forms of Patronus Charm soared above the Great Hall, making the entire Great Hall shimmer with silver light.

Perhaps stimulated by Malfoy, Ron broke through his limits and successfully cast a Patronus Charm.

"I finally did it!"

Looking at the shimmering silver hound before him, Ron joyfully roared, controlling the hound Patronus Charm to chase Hermione's otter twice, then diving into the battle circle of the stag and peacock.

"I originally thought summoning a corporeal Patronus Charm was difficult, but now it doesn't seem so complicated."

Ron bragged to Hermione, "Today I'll practice with the Dementor dolls, and when it's time for real combat with Dementors, watch how easily I'll handle them!"

Gradually, it was time for the feast, and all the Professor came to the Great Hall.

Seeing the Patronus Charm flying everywhere, Professor McGonagall's stern expression softened, revealing a relieved smile.

Professor Flitwick was extremely excited, walking back and forth among the crowd, constantly praising the students.

After receiving praise, those students were filled with confidence, all vowing to deal with the Dementors.

Listening to the students' bold words, Sebastian's lips curved into a meaningful smile.

Deal with Dementors?

They're all very spirited, aren't they?

Next, I must increase the difficulty for these students who have cast corporeal Patronus Charm, and let them face the harsh reality.

After Halloween, the temperature plummeted, the sky grew dark, heavy clouds covered the entire sky, and a biting chill permeated the air.

After class, Sebastian walked across the lawn with his hands in his outer robe pockets, his steps light and easy, arriving outside the Hogwarts gates.

Looking at the Dementors flying everywhere, he smiled slightly and began to select suitable teaching aids.

He slowly took out a set of Swan Alchemy's latest magical creature language translator, a peculiar headset, and a mask with a special microphone from his undetectable extension bag.

The headset and mask looked futuristic, covered in intricate alchemy symbols.

After setting the language mode to Dementor language, Sebastian put on the headset and mask and began to listen to what these guys were actually saying.

"Work, work hard!"

"Hungry, I don't get enough to eat here every day, I've gotten thin."

"I miss the happy life of eating freely at Azkaban's buffet."

"Why isn't Sirius showing up?!"

"What's wrong with this Wizard, staring at us constantly, is he a proper Wizard?"

"What are you looking at? If you keep looking, I'll come up and suck you!"
