On Friday afternoon, as soon as classes were dismissed, the students eagerly rushed into the Great Hall, crowding around the long tables to devour their dinner.
They couldn't wait to attend tonight's Duelling Club, because Professor Swan would be bringing a Dementor for them to practice on.
Ronnie stuffed food into his mouth, mumbling indistinctly, "Eat faster, Harry, I can't wait to beat up the Dementor!"
"When the Dementor knocked you out, it certainly didn't expect that in just two short months, we would have the ability to get our revenge on them."
"This is what you call, 'thirty years east of the river, thirty years west of the river!'"
He spoke with such excitement, as if he could already see himself bravely repelling the Dementor.
Hermione, however, was much more cautious. She took a sip of pumpkin juice, frowning as she reminded him, "Ron, don't be too careless."
"I've read in books that even if you can normally cast a Patronus Charm, when truly facing a Dementor, you might still fail due to fear. You must be careful."
No sooner had she finished speaking than Fred and George appeared like ghosts from behind Ron.
Fred slapped Ron's left shoulder, "Yo, Ronnie, don't brag."
George put his arm around Ron's right shoulder, "Don't go crying like a baby when the time comes, that would be so embarrassing!"
Ronnie was startled by their double attack.
Me, cry like a baby?
What a joke!
He glared, his eyes wide with anger, and with a shake of his shoulders, he flung their hands away, shouting indignantly.
"How many times have I told you, don't call me that name."
"My Patronus Charm isn't something I practiced casually; just wait and see my hound show off its power."
Speaking of this, Ronnie glanced at Fred and George, a smug smile playing on his lips.
"You two need to be careful. You know your Patronus Charm is just two little magpies; don't let them be swatted away by the Dementor."
Harry's eyes narrowed into slits as he chuckled. He was long accustomed to the bickering between the three brothers, always finding it particularly amusing.
After a hasty dinner, the students flocked to the Duelling Club in groups.
Students who had already cast corporeal Patronus Charms walked into the Duelling Club's entrance with their heads held high and noses in the air.
As eight o'clock approached, the Professors appeared punctually in the Duelling Club.
Sebastian wasted no words and immediately cleared a corner of the Duelling Club.
Then, he cast a Sonorous Charm on himself, and his loud voice instantly filled the entire Duelling Club.
"Students who can cast a corporeal Patronus Charm, gather here."
Soon, all the Little Wizards who could do this quickly gathered in front of Sebastian.
"It's excellent that you can cast a corporeal Patronus Charm in such a short time, just two months."
Sebastian scanned the enthusiastic students, a hint of approval in his tone.
"The purpose of today is to train your real combat ability and ensure that you can still successfully cast the Patronus Charm when facing a real Dementor."
With that, he took the specially made alchemy sack, walked to the corner, and released the Dementor.
After being trained by Sebastian, this Dementor already knew how to cooperate with his teaching work.
So, after emerging from the sack, it did not wander around or emit a terrifying oppressive aura, but instead floated quietly in the corner, with no fluctuations beneath its black cloak.
It dared not emit a single extra breath, truly appearing as a professional teaching aid.
Before seeing the Dementor, the Little Wizards still had some apprehension in their hearts, after all, the terrifying image of Dementors was already deeply ingrained in their minds.
However, this Dementor before them looked malnourished, which instantly boosted the Little Wizards' confidence, leading to bursts of wild laughter.
"That's it? This Dementor looks so weak, completely different from the ones outside the school gate."
"I'm terrifyingly strong now; I could fight ten Dementors like this!"
"Professor, can we get a stronger one to practice on?"
Sebastian took out his translation earpiece and put it on, then smiled slightly at the students.
"Very good, you're all very spirited!"
"Who wants to challenge the Dementor first?"
Hearing this, the Little Wizards all raised their hands.
"Pick me!"
"Me, let me!"
"Professor, look here, look here!"
Sebastian scanned the group and beckoned to Percy, "Percy, you go first and set an example for everyone."
"Ah, letting Percy go, this is too much bullying the Dementor."
"He won't kill the Dementor, will he?!"
"I suddenly feel a bit sorry for this Dementor, what's going on?"
Amidst the students' jeers, Ron said to his friend beside him, "Letting Percy deal with such a weak Dementor is a waste of talent; it's better to let me do it!"
Malfoy glanced at Ron and said, "Compared to you, your brother is indeed much more excellent."
"However, there's some truth to what you said; Professor really underestimated us. He should catch a few stronger Dementors for us to practice on."
Percy walked out from the crowd, stopped about a meter from the Dementor, then took out his wand and got ready.
Sebastian waved his hand to quiet the students.
"3 -- 2 -- 1, challenge begins!"
Instantly, Percy raised his wand and roared at the Dementor, "Expecto Patronum!"
Before the words had even faded, Percy felt a chill.
So cold!
He felt his happy emotions rapidly draining away; this feeling was extremely strong, making it impossible for him to concentrate.
Damn it!
The Patronus Charm failed; why is the Dementor so terrifying? His mind was filled with negative emotions.
Percy waved his wand again, trying his best to cast the Patronus Charm.
However, there was still no reaction from the tip of his wand; it only flashed with a silvery light, showing no sign of releasing a Patronus Charm.
Frustration and despair crept into Percy's heart, making him feel as if he had lost hope in life.
His face grew paler and paler, and the hand holding his wand began to tremble.
Seeing this, Sebastian stepped in to stop the Dementor and declared the challenge a failure.
He took out a piece of chocolate and handed it to Percy, "Eat some chocolate, then rest a bit; it will help your condition."
The Dementor floated obediently in the corner, thinking happily to itself.
My companions outside are truly foolish to let me have such a good job.
I thought I would suffer the torment of the Patronus Charm, but I didn't expect it to be so blissful.
I don't have to do anything and can openly eat delicious food.
So fresh, so tasty!
But I'm not full.
Hungry!
